Wrinkle remover

A wrinkle-removing device featuring an elastic headband circumferentially placed from the forehead to the back of the head of the user. At least one of the surfaces of the headband has hook and loop material fibers throughout. The headband has at least two elastic bands, each with hook and loop material attached at its ends. The bands are placed over a user's head, and attached to the headband, in such a manner that the headband is pulled upward, and with it, the user's skin. To remove wrinkles, the user first places the headband around the forehead of the user. Then the elastic bands are placed at points about the headband so that wrinkled facial areas are stretched upward. Finally, an ointment is massaged on the areas of the skin that have been stretched.

Description
BACKGROUND

There is a need for an improved facial wrinkle removing device/system that uplifts and lessens the wrinkles created by age. When we age, facial skin tends to wrinkle because of external and internal factors that cause the face to contract, e.g. the effects of the sun and human emotions. With time, these facial contractions start breaking down the ability of the face to bounce back to a wrinkle free appearance. For this reason, the field of cosmetic surgery has exploded.

The most common methods of eliminating wrinkles today are either going under the knife or using fixed devices that are to be attached to a users head. The fixed devices pull the wrinkled areas of the face for the period of time that the devices are used. The devices do not help eliminate wrinkles after the devices are used and are intended to hide the wrinkles for the period of time that the devices are being used.

Cosmetologists use other methods for reducing wrinkles. One method for reducing wrinkles that cosmetologists use is to apply mud masks to the face of a user, when the mud mask dries, the skin of the user will be temporarily stretched to wrinkle free position. The masks are a temporary solution to the wrinkle dilemma. The problem with mud masks is that most users do not have the financial security to visit a cosmetologist at regular intervals to maximize the effects of the treatment. Another method cosmetologists use is to physically stretch the skin of the user while applying moisturizing ointments to the affected areas. Again, this is not cost effective, for repeated trips to the cosmetologist will be required to gain the maximum effect of the treatment.

When researching the prior art, U.S. Pat. No. 5,067,482 discussed many of the prior patents that addressed the need of removing facial wrinkles. Most of those devices used either adhesives or hook and loop systems for attachment. The devices were to be worn during the normal course of a days activity and were geared to be temporary methods of removing wrinkles.

The prior devices are not geared to lessening the facial wrinkles over an extended period of time and therefore do not address the object of this invention.

The main object of this invention is to restore a users face to a youthful appearance without having to go under the knife.

Another object of the invention is to provide users with a self-administering wrinkle removal system.

Another object of the invention is to provide users with a cost effective solution to the wrinkle dilemma.

Another object of the invention is to provide users with a reusable device that does not need adhesives to attach to the face of a user.

Another object of the invention is to provide a user with a device that can be applied to different points of a users forehead, thereby applying uplift to different points of the face.

SUMMARY

The present invention is directed to a wrinkle reducing device, its kit, and its method of use that satisfies the need of reducing wrinkles without having to go under the knife. The wrinkle reducing system is also cost effective. The devise comprises of a headband that is made of fibers that loop throughout at least one side of the headband. The side of the headband that contains the loop fibers would be worn so that the loop fibers would not contact the face/head of the user. At least two elastic bands containing hook fibers at their ends would be used with the headband. The ends of the elastic bands would be positioned on the headband so that a pull can be created between the points of attachment. These points of attachment, when the band is placed around the forehead of the user, would create an upward pull on the skin immediately below the points of attachment. This invention is to be used at any time, but ideally would be used at night to maximize the benefits of the device.

The effects of the device can be maximized when using the device with the kit that it is to be used with. The kit would include the device and a moisturizing ointment that is to be applied to the wrinkled areas. The ointment would be massaged into the wrinkled areas after the device is placed on the users head.

This invention is intended to provide the common man with a cost effective method of reducing the effects of time, facial wrinkles.

These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with regard to the following description, appended claims, and accompanying drawings where:

FIG. 1 shows a cross sectional view of an elastic headband having loop fibers on the outside of the headband;

FIG. 2a shows a cross sectional view of the head band having two elastic bands, the elastic bands having hook material at their ends that attach to the headband's loop materials;

FIG. 2b shows a cross sectional view of the ends of the elastic bands, showing the loop materials at their ends, VELCRO;

FIG. 3 shows a frontal view of a users face showing the effects of age, the crows feet around the edges of the eyes; and

FIG. 4 shows a frontal view of the user wearing the device and the effects created by the device.

DESCRIPTION

As shown in FIG. 2a, a wrinkle reducing device comprising of an elastic headband 10 wherein at least one of the sides of the headband has loop material fibers throughout the circumference of the headband and at least two elastic bands 12,14, each elastic band 12, 14 having hook materials 12a, 14a, VELCRO, attached at the elastic bands' 12, 14 ends. The elastic bands 12, 14 provide a tension to the headband 10 at the points of attachment when placed on the head of a user.

As shown in FIG. 3, the device is used by first placing the headband 10 on the forehead of the user, then attaching the elastic bands 12, 14 at points of the headband 10 so that an upward pull is created at the points of attachment, simultaneously the skin of the user is also pulled upward by the pull created on the headband 10. The upward pull of the headband 10 is created by adjusting the tension on the elastic bands 12,14, e.g. the more the elastic bands 12, 14 are stretched, the greater tension, therefore the greater the upward pull on the headband 10. As seen in FIG. 4, the user is to adjust the tension of the elastic bands 12, 14 so that the wrinkles around the eyes of the user are stretched upward, thereby smoothing the wrinkled areas.

The device is ideally marketed as a kit to be used for the reduction of wrinkles. The kit would include a moisturizing cream/wrinkle reducing ointment. Such ointments are known in the art and therefore will not be discussed further, except for an ointment that will be discussed subsequent to this paragraph. The kit would be used by first placing the wrinkle reducing device on the forehead of the user. Then adjusting the device so that an upward pull can be applied to the areas of the face to be treated. Lastly, by massaging the ointment to the areas targeted during the use of the device. The kit is to be used overnight if possible, but can be used at any time the user feels comfortable applying the treatment.

The method of use of the device comprises of first placing the headband 10 to the forehead of the user, then attaching the elastic bands 12, 14 to the headband 10 so that an upward pull is created at points of attachment, this upward pull will simultaneously create an upward pull on the skin being treated, and lastly, massaging the cream to the facial points being treated.
