Lining for swimming pools

The swimming pool (1) is of the kind for domestic use and is located on the ground, in such a way that an external surface is visible that can include reinforcement elements or bars (2). The lining is constituted by means of a lining body (3) with geometry similar to that of said external surface or adaptable thereto, so that it is incorporated into the swimming pool surrounding it tightly and covering said external surface, along with the said bars (2) in the event of there being any or optionally beneath them.

Description
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

As stated in the title of this descriptive specification, the present invention relates to a lining for swimming pools, the purpose of which is to provide a cover for domestic use pools that are located on the ground, facilitating improvements and easy changes to the aesthetic appearance of said pool, all this by means of elements that are very easy to apply and low cost.

PRIOR ART OF THE INVENTION

Swimming pools for domestic use that are laid on the ground are known in the prior art, such pools normally being cylindrical though they can have other shapes such as elliptical, prismatic, rectangular, etc., and which present an external surface that can include reinforcement elements or bars.

These pools known in the art present certain drawbacks in relation to their aesthetic appearance which is not as good as might be desired, being generally limited to a uniform tone in which no ornamental patterns are included unless any special printing is requested on the actual sheets constituting the wall of the pool.

We do not know of any lining in the current state of the art for swimming pools of the type referred to which permits its aesthetic appearance to be varied.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In order to achieve the objectives and avoid the drawbacks stated above, the invention consists of a lining for swimming pools, the pool being of the kind for domestic use that is laid on the ground in such a way that an external surface is left visible that can include reinforcing elements or bars.

A novel feature of the invention is that the inventive lining for swimming pools is constituted by means of a lining with a geometry similar to that of said external surface or adaptable thereto, in such a way that it is incorporated into the swimming pool surrounding it tightly and covering said external surface, along with the said bars in the event of there being any, or beneath those bars.

According to the preferred embodiment of the invention, the said lining body presents a flexible and folding nature, along with an annular shape permitting it to be incorporated into the pool in the manner of a glove.

According to the said preferred embodiment of the invention, the lining body is preferably produced in PVC, polyethylene or similar, and any suitable material, textile or otherwise.

The said lining body can present an ornamentation on its external surface which provides an aesthetic improvement to the appearance of the swimming pool into which it is incorporated.

Moreover, the said lining body can present microperforations permitting transpiration between it and the wall of the pool in which it is incorporated, thereby preventing the accumulation of bacteria, mould and other elements on account of the damp.

Once the lining body has been located on the corresponding swimming pool, the assembly can be terminated on top with a peripheral profile that improves the attachment of the lining body and grants uniformity to the upper edge of the pool.

With the structure that has been described, the inventive lining for swimming pools presents the primary advantage of granting a large variety of decorative possibilities, furthermore permitting that just monochromatic sheets need to be used for the pool (which are more economical than those currently used in order not to increase the price of the final product) so that it can then be personalised afterwards by means of the lining, in such a way that one can have a stock of numerous sheets constituting the pool with the possibility of changing their appearance by means of a set of linings with various ornamental patterns. Moreover, the invention presents the advantages of being created with elements that are very simple, low cost and easy to use. In addition, the recyclability of the product is notably greater, both for the linings and for the possible materials constituting the corresponding swimming pools.

Below, in order to facilitate a better understanding of this specification and forming an integral part thereof, some figures are attached in which, on an illustrative rather than limiting basis, the most characteristic details of the invention have been represented.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

FIG. 1—Represents a perspective and exploded view of a swimming pool and a lining to be incorporated thereto in accordance with the present invention.

FIG. 2—Represents a perspective view of the swimming pool and lining referred to in FIG. 1 above, once it has been fitted.

DESCRIPTION OF AN EXAMPLE OF EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

A description of an example of the invention is going to be made forthwith, making reference to the numbering adopted in the figures.

So, the lining for swimming pools of this example of the invention consists of a lining body 3 which presents a flexible and folding nature, along with an annular shape permitting it to be incorporated into a swimming pool 1 in the manner of a glove, as illustrated in FIG. 1.

The external surface of the lining body 3 incorporates an ornamentation 4 which grants an excellent aesthetic appearance to the swimming pool 1 due to covering its entire external surface and the reinforcement bars 2 which there might be in that surface, as illustrated in FIG. 2.

The lining body 3, normally made of polyethylene or PVC, includes certain microperforations 5, as can be appreciated in the enlarged detail of FIG. 1, in order to provide transpiration between the wall of the swimming pool 1 and the lining 3, thereby preventing the growth of mould, accumulation of bacteria or other drawbacks on account of the damp.

The upper edge of the swimming pool 1 with the lining body 3 incorporated can be terminated by means of a peripheral profile 6 which improves the attachment of the lining body 3 and grants uniformity to the said upper edge of the swimming pool 1, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
