Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a sizer unit for a garment hanger, and more particularly to a sizer unit that can be used to indicate the size of a garment hung on a garment hanger.

2. Description of the Prior Art

Various types of garment hangers for hanging garments are commercially available. As is shown in FIG.1 which is a perspective view showing the appearance of a sizer unit 1 for a conventional garment hanger. The sizer unit 1 includes a plurality of vertical side surfaces 10 and a top surface 12 connecting with the vertical side surfaces 10, the vertical side surfaces 10 and the top surface 12 define a receiving space. The receiving space is used to receive a connecting portion of a hook 14 of a garment hanger. In order to firmly connect the sizer unit 1 with the hook 14, the connecting portion of the hook 14 is provided with a plurality of tenons 17 and the sizer unit 1 is provided with a plurality of open cuts 18 for engaging with the tenons 17. However, the open cuts 18 provided on the sizer unit 1 reduce the space for size indicating area 19, thus it is uneasy for a consumer to recognize the size of a garment; and the holes for the open cuts 18 are not good in appearance of the conventional garment hanger.

In view of this, the present invention is aiming at improving the engaging mode of the conventional sizer unit with the garment hanger to render the sizer unit to have a larger plain surface for printing larger letters of sizes of garments.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary object of the present invention is to provide a sizer unit for a garment hanger. The sizer unit has a larger plain surface for printing larger letters in order that a consumer can recognize the letters of sizes easily.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a sizer unit for a garment hanger with a larger plain surface; the sizer unit is tightly connected with the garment hanger and can be prevented from releasing from the garment hanger.

To achieve the above stated objects, the sizer unit for a garment hanger of the present invention is adapted to being attached to a hook of a garment hanger made by injection molding of plastic. The sizer unit includes a main body used to display the size of a garment, and the sizer unit includes a plurality of vertical side surfaces and a top surface connecting with the vertical side surfaces. The vertical side surfaces and the top surface define a receiving space and the receiving space is used to receive a connecting portion of a hook of a suit hanger. Wherein the connecting portion has a specific length and a specific width, the receiving space has an inner length which is slightly larger than the specific length of the connecting portion, and has an inner width which is slightly larger than the specific width of the connecting portion and wherein the connecting portion is provided on its two lateral sides each with a raised first engaging portion, while the inner lateral sides of the main body of the sizer unit have at the areas to be in opposition to those of the first engaging portions with second engaging portions. And so when the connecting portion is received in the receiving space, the first engaging portions are respectively connected with the second engaging portions, hence the sizer unit is connected with the garment hanger.

The present invention will be apparent in its content and effects to be achieved after reading the detailed description of the preferred embodiment thereof in reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a schematic perspective view of a conventional sizer unit for a garment hanger;

FIG. 2 is a schematic perspective view showing the appearance of a preferred embodiment of a sizer unit for a garment hanger of the present invention;

FIG. 3 is an enlarged sectional view showing of a sizer unit and a garment hanger of FIG. 2 after mutual connecting;

FIG. 4 is a schematic perspective view showing the appearance of another preferred embodiment of a sizer unit for a garment hanger of the present invention after mutual connecting.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIG. 2 which is a schematic perspective view showing the appearance of a preferred embodiment of a sizer unit 2 for a garment hanger of the present invention. The sizer unit 2 for the garment hanger is adapted to being attached to a hook 3 of the garment hanger made by injection molding of plastic.

The sizer unit 2 includes a main body 20 used to display the size 21 of a garment. The main body 20 includes a plurality of vertical side surfaces 23 and a top surface 24 connecting with the vertical side surfaces 23. The vertical side surfaces 23 and the top surface 24 define a receiving space 25 and the receiving space 25 is used to receive a connecting portion 32 of the hook 3 of the garment hanger.

In this embodiment, the connecting portion 32 has a specific length L1 and a specific width W1 and the receiving space 25 has an inner length L2 which is slightly larger than the specific length L1 of the connecting portion 32, and has an inner width W2 which is slightly larger than the specific width W1 of the connecting portion 32, hence the connecting portion 32 can be received in the receiving space 25. By the fact that the receiving space 25 is only slightly larger than the volume of the connecting portion 32, they will be connected firmly when the sizer unit 2 is connected to the hook 3.

The connecting portion 32 is provided on its two lateral sides each with a raised first engaging portion, while the inner lateral sides of the main body 20 of the sizer unit 2 have at the areas to be in opposition to those of the first engaging portions with second engaging portions, so that when the connecting portion 32 is received in the receiving space 25, the first engaging portions are respectively connected with the second engaging portions, hence the sizer unit 2 is firmly connected with the hook 3 of the garment hanger. Wherein the first engaging portions are engaging blocks 34, while the second engaging portions are engaging grooves 26, thereby when the sizer unit 2 is connected with the connecting portion 32, the engaging blocks 34 are engaged in the engaging grooves 26, the sizer unit 2 can be firmly connected with the hook 3 of the garment hanger.

Moreover, the connecting portion 32 is provided thereon with two holes 36 which are located adjacent to the engaging blocks 34 respectively. Thereby, when the sizer unit 2 is connected with the connecting portion 32, the engaging blocks 34 can be compressed toward the middle of the connecting portion 32; and after the sizer unit 2 is connected with the connecting portion 32, the engaging blocks 34 restore their original positions, and the sizer unit 2 is conveniently connected onto the connecting portion 32, such as is shown in FIG. 3.

In another embodiment, referring to FIG. 4, the first engaging portions are elastic engaging arms 38 protruding out of the connecting portion 32, while the second engaging portions are engaging grooves 28 of which the shapes are designed to match with those of the elastic engaging arms 38. Such a device can likewise achieve the object of firmly connecting the sizer unit 2 with the hook 3 of the suit hanger.

Therefore, the present invention has the following advantages:

    • 1. The sizer unit of the present invention has a larger plain surface for printing larger letters of sizes in order that a consumer can recognize the letters easily.
    • 2. The present invention provides the sizer unit with the larger plain surface, yet the first engaging portions of the connecting portion and the second engaging portions on the sizer unit can firmly connect the sizer unit with the garment hanger and will not be released from it easily.
      In conclusion, according to the description disclosed above and the drawings, the present invention surely can achieve the expected objects thereof to provide a sizer unit for a garment hanger that is practically utilizable and valuable. The embodiment given through the disclosure of this specification is only for illustrating the present invention, and not for giving any limitation to the scope of the present invention. It will be apparent to those skilled in this art that various equivalent modifications or changes without departing from the spirit of this invention shall also fall within the scope of the appended claims.
