A backpack carrier includes a backpack body, first and second quick-releasing fasteners, and a transportation carrier. The backpack body is adapted for being carried by a user, which includes a back panel, an upper holder provided at an upper edge of the back panel, and a lower holder provided at a lower edge of the back panel to define a receiving cavity within the back panel, the upper holder, and the lower holder for receiving the foldable stretcher in the receiving cavity. The quick-releasing fasteners are provided at the upper and lower holders respectively for retaining the foldable stretcher in the receiving cavity. The transportation carrier includes a carriage sleeve and a transportation mount provided at the carriage sleeve for detachably mounting the backpack body to the transportation tool, wherein the backpack is adapted to be used between a transportation-carriage mode and a user-carriage mode.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a backpack, and more particularly to a backpack arrangement for a foldable stretcher, wherein the backpack arrangement is capable of operating in a transportation-carriage mode and a user-carriage mode.

2. Description of Related Arts

Conventional foldable stretchers are frequently used to carry injured people from one place to another so as to allow the injured people to receive appropriate treatment as soon as possible. For example, in a military operation, injured militants must be carried from a dangerous zone to safety places where they would receive proper treatment. Similarly, in emergency situations, stretchers are usually utilized to carry injured people from the dangerous places to, say, hospital.

An inherent problem of using conventional stretchers as a portable tool for carrying injured people is that they are bulky in size and therefore inconvenient to transport and carry. A typical method is to put the entire stretcher in a vehicle, such as an ambulance, and when the ambulance arrives at the scene, the relevant medical personals have to manually life up the stretcher and carry it to the injured people. Very often, when the environmental condition of the scene is not very good, the medical personals have to manually carry the heavy stretcher and pass through what may be a rugged route in order to reach the injured people. This would obviously delay the rescue time and substantially affect the effectiveness of first aids.

As a matter of fact, foldable stretchers have been developed for substantially reducing the size of the stretchers when they are not in use. As a result, the foldable stretchers can be stored in a place without taking much space. However, one disadvantage of these foldable stretchers is that they are still inconvenient to carry.

Yet another problem in association with the use of conventional stretchers is that when the stretcher is need to carry an injured person, some sort of first aids medicine may also be need for providing immediate treatment to that injured person. Very often, however, because of the bulky size of the stretcher, it is hard and inconvenient for the medical personal to carry any extra package of any first aid medicine.

SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

A main object of the present invention is to provide a backpack carrier for a foldable stretcher, wherein the backpack carrier is capable of operating in a transportation-carriage mode and a user-carriage mode.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a backpack carrier for a foldable stretcher, wherein the backpack carrier is adapted to store a foldable stretcher in a compact manner, and can be easily mounted on a transportation tool so as to allow convenient and efficient transportation of stretchers.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a backpack carrier which facilitates rapid and convenient access to the foldable stretcher so as to minimize the time for any relevant first aid action.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a backpack carrier which is flexible when it is utilized in practice. For example, the backpack carrier is adapted to be conveniently transported in a transportation tool, while easily carried by a user for in-situ first aids actions.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a backpack carrier which is made of durable and lightweight and possibly waterproof materials so that the backpack carrier is suitable for use in a wide variety of environments and to optimally cater for different needs in different circumstances.

Accordingly, in order to accomplish the above objects, the present invention provides a backpack carrier for storing a foldable stretcher and detachably mounting to a transportation tool, wherein the backpack arrangement comprises:

a lightweight but durable fabric made backpack body, which is adapted for being carried by a user, which comprises a back panel, an upper holder provided at an upper edge of the back panel, and a lower holder provided at a lower edge of the back panel to define a receiving cavity within the back panel, the upper holder, and the lower holder for receiving the foldable stretcher in the receiving cavity;

first and second quick-releasing fasteners provided at the upper and lower holders respectively for retaining the foldable stretcher in the receiving cavity, wherein the first and second quick-releasing fasteners are adapted for being quickly unfastened by the user to take the foldable stretcher out of the backpack body; and

a transportation carrier, comprising:

a carriage sleeve detachably mounting to the backpack body for securely locking the foldable stretcher in the receiving cavity; and

a transportation mount provided at the carriage sleeve for detachably mounting the backpack body to the transportation tool, wherein the backpack is adapted to be used between a transportation-carriage mode and a user-carriage mode, wherein at the transportation-carriage mode, the backpack is carried by the transportation carrier for being transported, and at the user-carriage mode, the backpack is quickly detached from the transportation carrier for the user to carrier.

These and other objectives, features, and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description, the accompanying drawings, and the appended claims.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIG. 1 to FIG. 3 of the drawings, a backpack carrier for storing a foldable stretcher 70 and detachably mounting to a transportation tool is illustrated, in which the backpack carrier comprises a backpack body 10, first and second quick-releasing fasteners 21, 22, and a transportation carrier 30.

The backpack body 10 is lightweight, durable and is made of fabric materials designed for use in outdoor environment, and is adapted for being carried by a user. The backpack body 10 comprises a back panel 11, an upper holder 12 provided at an upper edge of the back panel 11, and a lower holder 13 provided at a lower edge of the back panel 11 to define a receiving cavity 14 within the back panel 11, the upper holder 12, and the lower holder 13 for receiving the foldable stretcher 70 in the receiving cavity 14.

The first and second quick-releasing fasteners 21, 22 are provided at the upper and lower holders 12, 13 respectively for retaining the foldable stretcher 70 in the receiving cavity, wherein the first and second quick-releasing fasteners 21, 22 are adapted for being quickly unfastened by the user to take the foldable stretcher 70 out of the backpack body 10.

The transportation carrier 30 comprises a carriage sleeve 31 and a transportation mount 32, wherein the carriage sleeve 31 is detachably mounting to the backpack body 10 for securely locking the foldable stretcher 70 in the receiving cavity 14.

The transportation mount 32 is provided at the carriage sleeve 31 for detachably mounting the backpack body 10 to the transportation tool, wherein the backpack carrier is adapted to be used between a transportation-carriage mode and a user-carriage mode, wherein at the transportation-carriage mode, the backpack body 10 is carried by the transportation tool for being transported, and at the user-carriage mode, the backpack body 10 is quickly detached from the transportation carrier 30 for the user to carry.

According to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the upper holder 12 and the lower holder 13 are specifically designed to retain the foldable stretcher 70 within the receiving cavity 14. Accordingly, the upper holder 12 has a top fabric panel 121, and an upper peripheral fabric 122 downwardly extended from the top fabric panel 121 to define an upper portion of the receiving cavity 14, whereas the lower holder 13 has a bottom fabric panel 131 and a lower peripheral fabric 132 upwardly extended from the bottom fabric panel 131 to define a lower portion of the receiving cavity 14, wherein the upper portion and the lower portion of the receiving cavity 14 is arranged to receive an upper portion and a lower portion of the foldable stretcher 70 respectively so as to normally retain the foldable stretcher 70 in position within the receiving cavity 14 and for allowing the foldable stretcher 70 being quickly taken out from the receiving cavity 14 of the backpack body 10.

The first quick-releasing fasteners 21 comprise a first length-adjustable straps 211 extended from the upper holder 12, and a buckle socket 212 provided at the first length-adjustable straps 211, whereas the second quick releasing fastener 22 comprises and a buckle head 222 which is provided at a second length-adjustable strap 221 and is detachably engaged with the buckle socket 212 to hold the upper and lower holders 12, 13 in position for retaining the foldable stretcher 70 in the receiving cavity 14.

Thus, the first fastener 21 is arranged to detachably fasten with the second fastener 22 for substantially retaining a position of the upper holder 12 and the lower holder 13 so as to retain the foldable stretcher 70 to be received within the receiving cavity 14 until the first and the second fasteners 21, 22 are unfastened.

It is worth mentioning, however, that the first and the second fasteners 21, 22 may also be embodied as other conventional fasteners, such as a hook and loop fastener, which can be used to detachably fasten the upper holder 12 with the lower holder 13 for normally retaining the foldable stretcher 70 within the receiving cavity 14. Similarly, the first and the second fasteners 21, 22 can be interchanged for performing the same function as mentioned above (i.e. fastening the upper holder 12 with the lower holder 13).

The carriage sleeve 31 of the transportation carrier 30 comprises a fabric-made main sleeve 311 shaped and sized to encirclingly and transversely wrap around the backpack carrier in such a manner that the carriage sleeve 31 is adapted to detachably wrap around the backpack carrier for detachably locking the foldable stretcher 70 in the receiving cavity 14. The carriage sleeve 31 further comprises a plurality of first and second sleeve fasteners 312, 313 provided at the side edges of the main sleeve 311 for detachably fastening the two side edges of the carriage sleeve 31 when it is wrapped around the backpack body 10.

More specifically, each of the first sleeve fasteners 312 is provided at a side edge of the main sleeve 311, and each of the second sleeve fasteners 313 is provided at an opposed side edge of the main sleeve 311 and is detachably fastened with the corresponding first sleeve fastener 312 to detachably attach the main sleeve 311 around the backpack body 10 at a position that the main sleeve 311 is to tightly wrapped around the backpack body 10 to cover the first and second quick-releasing fasteners 21, 22 so as to lock up the foldable stretcher 70 in the receiving cavity 14.

Each of the first sleeve fasteners 312 comprises a first length-adjustable strip 3123 extended from the side edges of the main sleeve 31 respectively, and a sleeve buckle head 3121 provided at the first length-adjustable strips 3123. Similarly, each of the second sleeve fasteners 313 comprises a second length-adjustable strip 3131, and a buckle plug 3132 which is provided at the second length-adjustable strip 3131 and is detachably fastened with the buckle head 3121 to tightly wrap the main sleeve 31 around the backpack body 10 in a rapidly detaching manner.

The transportation carrier 30 further comprises a detachable mounting arrangement 33 provided at the carrier sleeve 31 and the backpack body 10 for detachably mounting the mounting sleeve 32 with the backpack body 10. More specifically, the detachable mounting arrangement 33 comprises a first and a second mounting units 331, 332, wherein the first mounting units 331 comprises a first hook fastener 3311 and a first loop fastener 3312 longitudinally provided on the main sleeve 311 and a rear surface of the back panel 11 of the backpack body 10 respectively, wherein the first hook fastener 3311 is adapted to detachably mount to the first loop fastener 3312 for detachably mounting the backpack body 10 with the carrier sleeve 31. Likewise, the second mounting units 332 comprises a second hook fastener 3321 and a second loop fastener 3322 longitudinally provided on the main sleeve 311 and a rear surface of the back panel 11 of the backpack body 10 respectively, wherein the second hook fastener 3321 is adapted to detachably mount to the second loop fastener 3322 for detachably mounting the backpack body 10 with the carrier sleeve 31. The first and the second mounting units 331, 332 are spacedly apart from each other to secure a stable mounting between the backpack body 10 and the carrier sleeve 31.

According to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the backpack carrier 30 is adapted to be used between the transportation-carriage mode and the user-carriage mode. Accordingly, the transportation mount 32 comprises a lock hanger provided on a top side of the carrier sleeve 31 of the transportation carrier 30, wherein the lock hanger is arranged to detachably mount on a supporting surface of the transportation tool, such as a military or an emergency vehicle, so as to detachably mount the backpack body 10 onto the supporting surface of the transportation tool.

As a result, in the transportation-carriage mode, the backpack body 10, loaded with the foldable stretcher 70, is attached on the carrier sleeve 31 which is then affixed on the supporting surface of the transportation tool for convenient transportation of the foldable stretcher 70. At the user-carriage mode, however, the backpack body 10 is detached from the carrier sleeve 31 and the user of the foldable stretcher 70 is able to carry the backpack body 10 manually to specific locations where the foldable stretcher 70 is needed. It is worth mentioning, therefore, that the backpack body 10 is meant to be conveniently carried and stored by the transportation tool when the foldable stretcher 70 is not yet in use, and when the transportation tool arrives at the specific location, the user can easily detach the backpack body 10 and manually carry and use the foldable stretcher 70 as soon as possible.

Accordingly, the backpack body 10 further comprises a plurality of strap holders 17 spacedly attached to the upper holder 12 for securely carrying necessaries in position so as to allow the user to carry the necessaries in a hand-free manner when the user carries the backpack at the user-carriage mode. Moreover, the backpack body 10 further comprises two shoulder straps 15 provided at a rear side of the back panel 11 for allow the user to manually carry the backpack body 10 on his/her shoulder.

One skilled in the art will understand that the embodiment of the present invention as shown in the drawings and described above is exemplary only and not intended to be limiting.

It will thus be seen that the objects of the present invention have been fully and effectively accomplished. It embodiments have been shown and described for the purposes of illustrating the functional and structural principles of the present invention and is subject to change without departure form such principles. Therefore, this invention includes all modifications encompassed within the spirit and scope of the following claims.

Claims

1. A backpack carrier for storing a foldable stretcher and detachably mounting to a transportation tool, wherein said backpack carrier comprises:

a lightweight but durable fabric made backpack body, which is adapted for being carried by a user, which comprises a back panel, an upper holder provided at an upper edge of said back panel, and a lower holder provided at a lower edge of said back panel to define a receiving cavity within said back panel, said upper holder, and said lower holder for receiving said foldable stretcher in said receiving cavity;
first and second quick-releasing fasteners provided at said upper and lower holders respectively for retaining said foldable stretcher in said receiving cavity, wherein said first and second quick-releasing fasteners are adapted for being quickly unfastened by said user to take said foldable stretcher out of said backpack body; and
a transportation carrier, comprising:
a carriage sleeve detachably mounting to said backpack body for securely locking said foldable stretcher in said receiving cavity; and
a transportation mount provided at said carriage sleeve for detachably mounting said backpack body to said transportation tool, wherein said backpack carrier is adapted to be used between a transportation-carriage mode and a user-carriage mode, wherein at said transportation-carriage mode, said backpack body is carried by said transportation tool for being transported, and at said user-carriage mode, said backpack body is quickly detached from said transportation carrier for said user to carry.

The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 1, wherein said first quick-releasing fastener comprises first length-adjustable strap extended from said upper and lower holders, and a buckle socket provided at said first length-adjustable strap, wherein said second quick-releasing fastener comprises a second length adjustable strap, and a buckle head which is provided at said second length-adjustable strap and is detachably engaged with said buckle socket to hold said upper and lower holders in position for retaining said foldable stretcher in said receiving cavity.

The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 1, wherein said upper holder has a top fabric panel, and an upper peripheral fabric downwardly extended from said top fabric panel to define an upper portion of said receiving cavity, wherein said lower holder has a bottom fabric panel and a lower peripheral fabric upwardly extended from said bottom fabric panel to define a lower portion of said receiving cavity, wherein said upper portion and said lower portion of said receiving cavity is arranged to respectively receive an upper portion and a lower portion of said foldable stretcher for allowing said foldable stretcher being quickly taken out from said receiving cavity of said backpack body.

The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 2, wherein said upper holder has a top fabric panel, and an upper peripheral fabric downwardly extended from said top fabric panel to define an upper portion of said receiving cavity, wherein said lower holder has a bottom fabric panel and a lower peripheral fabric upwardly extended from said bottom fabric panel to define a lower portion of said receiving cavity, wherein said upper portion and said lower portion of said receiving cavity is arranged to respectively receive an upper portion and a lower portion of said foldable stretcher for allowing said foldable stretcher being quickly taken out from said receiving cavity of said backpack body.

The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 1, wherein said carriage sleeve comprises a fabric made main sleeve having a shape and size encirclingly and transversely wrapping around said backpack body, a first sleeve fastener provided at a side edge of said main sleeve, and a second sleeve fastener which is provided at an opposed side edge of said main sleeve and is detachably fastened with said first sleeve fastener to detachably attach said main sleeve around said backpack body at a position that said main sleeve is to tightly wrapped around said backpack body to cover said first and second quick-releasing fasteners so as to lock up said foldable stretcher in said receiving cavity.

The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 2, wherein said carriage sleeve comprises a fabric made main sleeve having a shape and size encirclingly and transversely wrapping around said backpack body, a first sleeve fastener provided at a side edge of said main sleeve, and a second sleeve fastener which is provided at an opposed side edge of said main sleeve and is detachably fastened with said first sleeve fastener to detachably attach said main sleeve around said backpack body at a position that said main sleeve is to tightly wrapped around said backpack body to cover said first and second quick-releasing fasteners so as to lock up said foldable stretcher in said receiving cavity.

The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 4, wherein said carriage sleeve comprises a fabric made main sleeve having a shape and size encirclingly and transversely wrapping around said backpack body, a first sleeve fastener provided at a side edge of said main sleeve, and a second sleeve fastener which is provided at an opposed side edge of said main sleeve and is detachably fastened with said first sleeve fastener to detachably attach said main sleeve around said backpack body at a position that said main sleeve is to tightly wrapped around said backpack body to cover said first and second quick-releasing fasteners so as to lock up said foldable stretcher in said receiving cavity.

The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 5, wherein said carriage sleeve further comprises a plurality of hook fasteners provided on said main sleeve and a plurality of loop fasteners provided on a rear side of said back panel of said backpack body to detachably fasten with said hook fastener so as to detachably mount said backpack body with said carrier sleeve in a rapidly detaching manner.

The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 6, wherein said carriage sleeve further comprises a plurality of hook fasteners provided on said main sleeve and a plurality of loop fasteners provided on a rear side of said back panel of said backpack body to detachably fasten with said hook fastener so as to detachably mount said backpack body with said carrier sleeve in a rapidly detaching manner.

The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 7, wherein said carriage sleeve further comprises a plurality of hook fasteners provided on said main sleeve and a plurality of loop fasteners provided on a rear side of said back panel of said backpack body to detachably fasten with said hook fastener so as to detachably mount said backpack body with said carrier sleeve in a rapidly detaching manner.

The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 7, wherein said first sleeve fasteners comprise two length-adjustable strips extended from said side edges of said main sleeve respectively, two sleeve buckle heads provided at said length-adjustable strips respectively, wherein said second sleeve fasteners comprise two length-adjustable strips and two buckle plugs provided at said length-adjustable strips respectively, wherein said buckle plugs are detachably fastened with said buckle housings respectively to tightly wrap said main sleeve around said backpack body in a rapidly detaching manner.

The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 8, wherein said first sleeve fasteners comprise two length-adjustable strips extended from said side edges of said main sleeve respectively, two sleeve buckle heads provided at said length-adjustable strips respectively, wherein said second sleeve fasteners comprise two length-adjustable strips and two buckle plugs provided at said length-adjustable strips respectively, wherein said buckle plugs are detachably fastened with said buckle housings respectively to tightly wrap said main sleeve around said backpack body in a rapidly detaching manner.

The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 10, wherein said first sleeve fasteners comprise two length-adjustable strips extended from said side edges of said main sleeve respectively, two sleeve buckle heads provided at said length-adjustable strips respectively, wherein said second sleeve fasteners comprise two length-adjustable strips and two buckle plugs provided at said length-adjustable strips respectively, wherein said buckle plugs are detachably fastened with said buckle housings respectively to tightly wrap said main sleeve around said backpack body in a rapidly detaching manner.

14. The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 1, wherein said transportation mount comprises a lock hanger provided at a top side of said carriage sleeve for detachably mounting said backpack body to said transportation tool.

15. The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 7, wherein said transportation mount comprises a lock hanger provided at a top side of said carriage sleeve for detachably mounting said backpack body to said transportation tool.

16. The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 13, wherein said transportation mount comprises a lock hanger provided at a top side of said carriage sleeve for detachably mounting said backpack body to said transportation tool.

17. The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 1, wherein said backpack body further comprises a plurality of strap holders spacedly attached to said upper holder for securely carrying necessaries in position so as to allow said user to carry said necessaries in a hand-free manner when said user carries said backpack at said user-carriage mode. securely carrying necessaries in position so as to allow said user to carry said necessaries in a hand-free manner when said user carries said backpack at said user-carriage mode.

The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 7, wherein said backpack body further comprises a plurality of strap holders spacedly attached to said upper holder for securely carrying necessaries in position so as to allow said user to carry said necessaries in a hand-free manner when said user carries said backpack at said user-carriage mode.

The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 13, wherein said backpack body further comprises a plurality of strap holders spacedly attached to said upper holder for securely carrying necessaries in position so as to allow said user to carry said necessaries in a hand-free manner when said user carries said backpack at said user-carriage mode.

20. The backpack carrier, as recited in claim 16, wherein said backpack body further comprises a plurality of strap holders spacedly attached to said upper holder for securely carrying necessaries in position so as to allow said user to carry said necessaries in a hand-free manner when said user carries said backpack at said user-carriage mode.
