Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention technically relates to apparatuses and methods for writing. More particularly, the present invention technically relates to apparatuses and methods for writing on a foldable surface. Even more particularly, the present invention technically relates to apparatuses and methods for a single-use folding container having a writing surface with a self-sealing adhesive.

BACKGROUND ART

Various related art apparatuses and methods involve writing surfaces. One related art apparatus involves a double flap pocket mailer and envelope, having a back portion, first and second pocket flaps, first and second closure flaps, and a closure device is utilized to deliver small items in an ornamentally shaped envelope. The first and second pocket flaps are connected with an adhesive to form a pocket for receiving items. The first and second closure flaps are foldable between open and closed positions. The closure device is held in a receiving slit. The pocket flaps are adjacent to one another and fold over the back portion to form a pocket between the pocket flaps and the back portion. A connector, preferably an adhesive, is applied between a first pocket overlap portion and a second pocket overlap portion to substantially permanently connect the first pocket flap to the second pocket flap, wherein “substantially permanently,” refers to the condition that the first pocket flap cannot be separated from the second pocket flap without damaging the pocket flaps.

Another related art apparatus involves a letter blank having leading and trailing edges as well as side edges. The blank includes a central oblong or rectangular letter section and a marginal edge section, the letter being joined by perforations and carrying adhesive areas. The letter section can be folded into four portions by folding along crease lines, forming its own envelope which can be secured by adhesive areas. The letter portion is joined to a gummed marginal flap which forms a straight leading edge. The side edges include further gummed flaps located between the leading edge and the first creased line.

Yet another related art apparatus involves an adhesive pattern for a mailer type of business form intermediate having short and long strips of adhesive being offset from one another and being disposed in removable margin strips on both surfaces of the form intermediate. The short and long adhesive strips alleviate side edge cupping of the removable margin strips, thereby preventing edge crimping the form intermediate against a slowing surface during friction feeding. An adhesive block is provided in each removable margin strip adjacent each sheet corner, thereby preventing significant upward or downward deflection of the corners. In order to seal the form intermediate, once it is folded, an adhesive pattern is disposed on both surfaces of a substrate sheet. The adhesive may be a hot-melt or a hot-seal adhesive, a “re-moist” adhesive, a pressure-sensitive adhesive, or a pressure-activated cohesive.

Another related art apparatus involves a page of paper or other suitable writing material having parallel long edges and parallel short edges as well as a first and a second fold which are not parallel to each other, but connect the short edges of the page. The page also has a third and fourth fold parallel to the short edges. When the page is folded along the first and second folds, the distance between the first and second folds along the first short edge is greater than the distance between the first and second folds along the second short edge. Thereafter, the page is folded along the third and fourth folds; and the second short edge is fitted within the first short edge, thereby configuring a self-envelope.

Other related art apparatuses involve a combined letter-sheet and envelope formed by folding along various lines to leave a sealing flap having an adhesive disposed thereon, wherein the sealing flap is substantially triangular, a combined letter-sheet and envelope formed by folding along various lines to leave an inverted seal having an adhesive disposed on both sides, wherein one side of the inverted seal adheres to the opposite portion of the sheet, a letter sheet and envelope comprising a letter sheet adapted for accepting writing, especially for correspondence, which is secured in an envelope, wherein the envelope comprises a gummed marginal surface on an underlying panel for sealing upon an adjacent perforated marginal portion of another panel, and wherein the panels are secured together, a combined letter sheet and envelope comprising gummed portions on an auxiliary tongue disposable in a slot the envelope's rear wall, a combination envelope and letter sheet comprising a sealing flap, a sealing tongue, and slots for their disposition, wherein the flap has a gummed edge for sealing the letter in the envelope.

Yet other related art apparatuses involve a self-sealing letter sheet which is suitable for feeding into a printer and which comprises facing sections (flaps) having adhesive layers and release plies, a. a safety envelope for accommodating coins, paper money, and checks which comprises a pasted flap, a combination envelope and writing paper, comprising tongues and cutouts, the tongues being slid through the cutouts and subsequently adhered, an envelope comprising gummed tongues which engage a flap, a sealed container comprising a flexible closure flap which is adhered to a seal, wherein the container has a shell for removably containing an article, and wherein the seal is rupturable, a multiple envelope assembly, wherein a first envelope is adhesively secured to a second envelope, and wherein the first envelope has a sealing flap, a multi-panel envelope form comprising adhesive stripes disposed at a distance offset from an edge, a decorative gift money holder having a flap, and an envelope pack having flaps.

However, these related art apparatuses are not easily writeable, foldable, and adhering, especially for labeling and containing small items. Thus, a long-felt need is seen to exist for an apparatus and a method comprising features which render the apparatus easily writeable, foldable, and adhering, especially for labeling and containing small items.
