Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a retractable electrical casing structure, in particular to a hollow casing having sliding members and a sliding bracket having sliding sections. The sliding bracket is able to retract or to expand with respect to the casing.

2. Description of the Prior Art

A conventional electronic casing, as shown in FIG. 5, comprises a hollow casing A and a connecting base B having a pair of boards B1 at two sides thereof. This design is a fixed structure and its size cannot be changed, which has a large fixed size. It requires a larger space to store and to transport.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is the primary objective of the present invention to provide a retractable electrical casing structure, which has a compact variable size that saves storage room and space.

It is another objective of the present invention to provide a retractable electrical casing structure, which is easy to stack together for shipment and saves shipping cost.

It is a further objective of the present invention to provide a retractable electrical casing structure, which can be retracted to a compact size that will not cause deformation when stacking together.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an exploded view of the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a side cross-sectional view of the present invention;

FIG. 3 is a side cross-sectional view of the present invention in an operating status;

FIG. 4 is an enlarged view of FIG. 3; and

FIG. 5 is an exploded view of the prior art.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

As shown in FIG. 1, the present invention comprises a casing 1 and a sliding bracket 2.

The casing 1 has a hollow body having a pair of locating plates 11 at opposite inner sides thereof. Each locating plate 11 has a pair of locating holes 12 thereon for insertion of sliding members 13. The sliding member 13 may be a stud. Each locating plate 11 is provided with two locating blocks 14 between the two locating holes 12. The casing 1 has a number of threaded holes 15 on its edge. A cover 16 is provided with a number of through holes 17 corresponding in position to the threaded holes 15. The cover 16 is secured onto the casing 1 by inserting fasteners 18 into the through holes 17 and the threaded holes 15.

The sliding bracket 2 is mounted to the casing 1, and comprises a bottom board 24 and a pair of locating plates 21 at two sides. The bottom board 24 is secured to the locating plates 21. Each locating plate 21 has a pair of sliding sections 22. The sliding sections 22 are slots for the sliding members 13 to slide therealong. Each locating plate 21 is provided with two locating slots 23 between the two sliding sections 22 for engagement of the locating blocks 14.

To assemble the present invention, as shown in FIG. 2, the sliding bracket 2 is inserted into the casing 1 with the sliding sections 22 of the sliding bracket 2 aligning with the locating holes 12 of the casing 1. The sliding members 13 are inserted into the locating holes 12, thus the sliding sections 22 of the sliding bracket 2 may slide with respect to the sliding members 13 of the casing 1. The cover 16 is secured on the casing 1 by inserting the fasteners 18 through the through holes 17 and the threaded holes 15 to complete the installation.

To operate the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, when it is desired to install electronic equipment, the sliding bracket 2 is pulled outward from the casing 1. The sliding sections 22 of the sliding bracket 2 will slide with respect to the sliding members 13. When the sliding bracket 2 is pulled to the outside of the casing 1, the locating blocks 14 inside the casing 1 will engage with the locating slots 23 of the sliding bracket 2. Thus the sliding bracket 2 is locked with respect to the casing 1. When the electronic equipment is secured to the bottom board 24, the cover 16 is secured onto the casing 1 so as to complete the installation.
