Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Technical Field

The present invention relates to a two-way brush, in particular to a two-way brush for cleaning the toilet.

2. Related Art

The conventional brushes for cleaning the bathroom, especially the toilet brushes, can only provide a single cleaning effect because of having only a single brush head. Accordingly, there are usually two brushes prepared in the bathroom, one having a sponge brush head, the other having a brush head made with elastic bristles, so as to achieve different cleaning effect. However, this may cause a mess in the bathroom due to too many utensils.

Further, the sponge brush head only has a sponge surface (outer layer). However, in order to make the sponge brush head bound to the front end of the brush rod tightly, a certain density of the sponge should be maintained, leading to the necessity of employing the costly high-density sponge.

Yet, compared with the brush head made with elastic bristles, the wear resistance of the sponge brush head is poor. The sponge brush head falls off the rod easily once damaged. In addition, the sponge brush head tends to develop germs and mold in humid environment. If the sponge brush head is to be replaced forthwith, the tainted sponge brush head has to be removed by hand, which may contaminate user's hand and jeopardize personal hygiene. To sum up, the subject of the present invention is how to easily replace the brush head without affecting personal hygiene.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the above drawbacks of the prior art, the objective of the present invention is to provide a two-way brush having a rod, a brush body being disposed on an end of the rod. A movable sleeve sheathes the middle of the rod. An end of the movable sleeve facing the brush body includes a bell-shaped opening for holding the brush body. Moreover, the brush body may be further covered with a cap of non-woven fabric.

Such structure not only provides the two-way brush of the present invention the functionality of the brush body, but also the functionality of the conventional sponge brush head after covered with the cap of non-woven fabric. In addition, when the cap of non-woven fabric is to be replaced, only the movable sleeve needs to be pushed from the middle of the rod toward the front end, whereby the cap of non-woven fabric is pushed off the brush body, which is convenient while maintaining hygiene of hands.

On the other hand, when the entire brush body is held in the movable sleeve, the two-way brush of the present invention may stand up on the opening of the movable sleeve without an additional base. The two-way brush may hang on the wall by a crook.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the two-way brush of the present invention comprises at least a rod 10, a brush body 20, and a movable sleeve 30.

A brush body 20 is fixed to the front end of the rod 10, and a movable sleeve 30 sheathes the middle of the rod 10.

The rod 10 described in this embodiment has a front end 12 and a rear end 13, wherein in addition to the brush body 20, a barricade 201 is also disposed on the front end 12 facing the brush body 20, which prevents splatter or backflow caused by the brush body 20 during brushing from going into the movable sleeve 30 and contaminating user's hand or other components. Meanwhile, the barricade 201 prevents the two-way brush of the present invention from jamming in the catchment basin of the toilet. A handle 11 extends from the rear end 13, the outer diameter of the handle 11 greater than that of the front end 12. A plurality of curved recess 111 are disposed on the surface of the handle 11 for enhancing friction and feel.

The brush body 20 is made with durable elastic bristles from, for example, chemical fibers, animal fibers, and/or a combination thereof. In this embodiment, the brush body 20 is formed of a main body 21 having a plurality of pores 211 disposed on the surface thereof (as shown in FIG. 4) and tufts of elastic bristles 22 fixed into the pores 211 respectively, wherein the main body 21 has two or more bending sections in order to increase the measure of area and provide more variations to the angle of the brush body 20 (as shown in FIG. 4).

The movable sleeve 30 in this embodiment is formed of an upper cover 301 and a lower cover 302 having a shape corresponding to that of the upper cover 301 (as shown in FIG. 1). The rear end of the movable sleeve 30 includes a through hole 303 passing through the sleeve 30 (as shown in FIG. 7). The bore of the through hole 303 matches the outer diameter of the front end 12, such that the sleeve 30 sheathes the front end 12. Further, an end of the movable sleeve 30 facing the brush body 20 (front end) includes a bell-shaped opening 31 for holding the brush body 20, such that the brush body 20 may be held in the movable sleeve 30 when unused. More specifically, when the brush body 20 of the present invention is to be used for brushing, only the movable sleeve 30 needs to slide toward the handle 11 to expose the brush body 20 for performing brushing (as shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 5). On the other hand, if the movable sleeve 30 holds the entire brush body 20 therein (as shown in FIG. 3), the two-way brush of the present invention is capable of standing up on the bell-shaped opening 31 of the movable sleeve 30 by uprighting the sheathed rod 10 (vertical to the ground), such that the disgraceful and germ-carrying brush body 20 is held and hidden, whereby improving the appearance of the brush and sanitation.

Refer to FIG. 6 and FIG. 7, where FIG. 6 is another exploded view of the two-way brush of the present invention showing the brush body covered with a cap of non-woven fabric, and FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view of the two-way brush according to the present invention, wherein the cap of non-woven fabric covering the brush body is pushed out by the movable sleeve.

As shown, the brush body 20 of the present invention may be further covered with a cap 40 of non-woven fabric based on the desired cleaning effect. The inner size of the cap 40 depends on the brush body 20, generally, as long as the brush body 20 can be held. When the cap 40 of non-woven fabric is to be removed from the brush body 20, only the movable sleeve 30 needs to slide toward the brush body 20, whereby pushing the cap 40 off the brush body 20 (as shown in FIG. 7). Accordingly, not only the removal of the cap 40 is fast and easy, but also the hygiene of the user's hand is maintained.

Although the present invention has been described in detail by the above preferred embodiment, it may be apparent to those with common knowledge in the field that the present invention may be implemented without some specific details.
