Holding device for a rotary tool

-

The present invention discloses a holding device for a rotary tool, which is mainly used to hold a rotary tool, such as a wire brush wheel for removing rough edges, and the user should sleeves the wire brush wheel over the holding device before operation. In the present invention, the holding disc has a cylindrical portion, which can simplify the assembling of the rotary tool, and the holding disc together with the cylindrical portion is fabricated into an integral one-piece part. The design that the rotary tool completely sleeves the cylindrical portion of the first holding disc makes the support of the rotary tool more reliable. Besides, all the steel bristles are retarded by the cylindrical portion, and no gap will allow the steel bristles to shrink inward; therefore, the working efficiency of the rotary tool is promoted.

Description
FIELD OF THEE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a holding device for a rotary tool, particularly to a holding device for a rotary tool with a design to prevent the bristle from being pressed inward.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The conventional holding device for a rotary tool is mainly used in rotary tools, such as a wire brush wheel, and a rotary tool must be assembled to a holding device before operation. Refer to a prior art “Holding Device for a Wire Brush Wheel” proposed in R.O.C patent No. M240301 by the inventor of the present invention. In the prior art, the sleeved portion and the holding disc are fabricated into an integral one-piece part, and the wire brush wheel can thus be assembled to the holding device faster and more conveniently. The conventional holding device comprises: two holding discs, a press-fit portion and a press-fit slot corresponding to each other and respectively arranged at the centers of those two holding discs, and a fixing portion and a first fixing slot respectively arranged at the rims of those two holding discs. One of those two holding discs has a sleeved portion, and the other holding disc has a second press-fit slot corresponding to the sleeved portion. The sleeved portion and its holding disc are fabricated into an integral one-piece part, and the sleeving and assembling processes can thus be faster and securer.

However, the sleeved portion is not a continuous-walled cylinder but is formed of a plurality of arc-section plates separated by a given spacing. The steel bristles of the wire brush wheel have a U shape and are embedded in a leather-like sleeving ring. Before operation, the sleeving ring of the wire brush wheel sleeves the plurality of arc-section plates. During operation, some steel bristles will be pressed into the gaps between the arc-section plates by force. Thus, the wire brush wheel cannot completely function, and the working efficiency is thus reduced.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

One objective of the present invention is to provide a holding device for a rotary tool, whereby a rotary tool, such as a wire brush wheel for removing rough edges, can be fast mounted, accurately positioned and firmly held.

To achieve the abovementioned objective, in one preferred embodiment, the holding device for a rotary tool of the present invention comprises a first holding disc and a second holding disc. The first holding disc further comprises: a cylindrical portion, which is to be sleeved by the rotary tool, at least one positioning slot formed along the rim of the first holding disc, a first positioning portion formed inside the cylindrical portion, and a first positioning hole located at the first positioning portion. The second holding disc further comprises: at lest one positioning plate, which has a positioning edge to be inserted into the positioning slot, a second positioning portion corresponding to the first positioning portion, a second positioning hole located at the second positioning portion, and a fixing element inserted into the first positioning hole and the second positioning hole to form an engagement of the first holding disc and the second holding disc. Thereby, the assembling of the rotary tool and the holding device is simplified. Further, the design that the rotary tool completely sleeves the cylindrical portion of the first holding disc makes the support of the rotary tool more reliable. Besides, the steel bristles of the wire brush wheel are unlikely to be pressed inward by force during operation.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a perspective view schematically showing one preferred embodiment of the present invention.

FIG. 2 is an exploded view schematically showing the preferred embodiment shown in FIG. 1.

FIG. 3 is a sectional view schematically showing the preferred embodiment shown in FIG. 1.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The technical contents of the present invention are to be described in detail in cooperation with the drawings below.

Refer to FIG. 1, FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 respectively a perspective view, an exploded view and a sectional view schematically showing one preferred embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the holding device for a rotary tool of the present invention is used to hold a rotary tool 30, such as a wire brush wheel for removing rough edges. The holding device for a rotary tool of the present invention comprises a first holding disc 10 and a second holding disc 20. The first holding disc 10 has a cylindrical portion 11, which is to be sleeved by the rotary tool 30, at least one positioning slot 12 formed along the rim of the first holding disc 10, a first positioning portion 13 formed inside the cylindrical portion 11, and a first positioning hole 14 located at the first positioning portion 13, wherein the first holding disc 10 together with the cylindrical portion 11 may be fabricated into an integral one-piece part.

The second holding disc 20 is to be engaged to the first holding disc 10. The second holding disc 20 has at lest one positioning plate 21 vertically projecting from the rim of the second holding disc 20, and the positioning plate 21 has a positioning edge 22 to be inserted into the positioning slot 12. The positioning slots 12 and the positioning plates 21 are respectively arranged along the circumferences of the first holding disc 10 and the second holding disc 20 by identical angles. The second holding disc 20 also has a second positioning portion 23 corresponding to the first positioning portion 13, and the second positioning portion 23 has a second positioning hole 24 located at the second positioning portion 23. The first positioning hole 14 and the second positioning hole 24 are to be inserted with a fixing element 40, such as a screw. The second positioning hole 24 has a hexagonal cross section and is used to accommodate a hexagonal coupling shaft 50. The coupling shaft 50 has an internal thread 51, and the fixing element 40 is screwed into the internal thread 51 to form a firm engagement of the first holding disc 10 and the second holding disc 20. After the assemblage is completed, the rotary tool 30 together with the holding device of the present invention is installed to a pneumatic device (not shown in the drawing) via the coupling shaft 50.

In the present invention, the first holding disc 10 has a cylindrical portion 11, and the first holding disc 10 together with the cylindrical portion 11 may be fabricated into an integral one-piece part. In assembling, the cylindrical portion 11 is closely sleeved with the rotary tool 30, and the fixing element 40 is inserted into the first and second positioning holes 14 and 24 and fastened to the coupling shaft 50 to form a firm engagement of the first holding disc 10 and the second holding disc 20, and the rotary tool 30 is secured by the cylindrical portion 11 and the positioning plate 21. Thereby, the assembling of the rotary tool 30 and the holding device is simplified. Further, the design that the rotary tool 30 completely sleeves the cylindrical portion 11 of the first holding disc 10 makes the support of the rotary tool 30 more reliable. Besides, all the steel bristles are retarded by the cylindrical portion 11, and no gap will allow the steel bristles to shrink inward; therefore, the working efficiency of the rotary tool 30 is promoted.

Those described above are the preferred embodiments to exemplify the present invention. However, it is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. Any equivalent modification and variation according to the spirit of the present invention is to be also included within the scope of the present invention.
