Abstract

The present invention relates to a tethered toy like object that has one or more refillable cavities made for containing any type of snack food and the option to contain other toy like objects. By combining a toy like object with a snack food container into one object and making it with a tether, it reduces the amount of objects a child can lose or drop on the floor. This invention allows for many different design options, that will give the manufacturer more opportunities for entertaining a child. The tethered toy like object can be made of various materials in a variety of shapes and sizes. This invention will reduce the amount of germs a child can come in contact with and increase the chances of the child being satisfied.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a tethered toy like object that has one or more cavities made for the containment of any type of snack food. The purpose of this invention is to simultaneously entertain a child with food and play. The tethered toy like object will have a permanent or non-permanent cavity or cavities that can be refilled with snack food. The tethered toy like object can have a permanent or non-permanent cavity or cavities that can contain other toy like objects. The present invention is an improved approach to a simple unattached snack food container. It can be made in a variety of shapes, sizes and materials. It can be used in numerous situations that ordinarily can be troublesome to a caregiver, e.g., stroller, grocery cart, highchair, and car seat. Young children tend to throw toys and or drop snack containers, leaving the caregiver to search for something else to amuse the child in place of the dirty snacks or play toy. This invention will allow the caregiver to have less items to carry and will increase the chances of keeping the child occupied, by simultaneously offering snack food and a toy like object. By having a tethered object that combines a toy and a snack food container, it reduces the amount of germs the child's toy and snack food will come in contact with.

2. Information Disclosure Statement

Currently there are snack food containers that offer continuous access to snacks without a tethered line and toys that are tethered. There are tethered baby bottle holders that are made to look like a stuffed toy with or without a tether. But none of the previous mentioned are tethered toy like objects that can contain snack food. Toys or snack containers that are not tethered to another object allow the child to drop or throw said objects, which can result in possible loss of toy or snacks. The loss of the toy or snacks causes the caregiver to search for the lost item, clean it off, and reunite it with the child. If the item is not found, the caregiver may have to purchase a new toy or snack, thus resulting in loss of time and/or money, that could have been spent more efficiently. This can become very problematic for a caregiver. The present invention device is a more efficient way of occupying a child and reduces the amount of germs a child may come in contact with.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention's primary purpose is to offer two different types of entertainment to a child at once while being tethered to another object. One form of entertainment is a tethered toy like object that that has a snack food cavity or cavities within or on the outside of the main tethered toy like object. This tethered toy like object can have one or more toy storage cavities made to contain other loose or tethered toy like objects. The said tethered toy like object can be made in a variety of shapes, sizes and materials. It can have other toys or shapes made for entertainment or learning, tethered to the main tethered toy like object. The second form of entertainment is the refillable or removable snack food cavity or cavities that are within or on the outside of the main tethered toy like object. These snack food cavities can be designed to remain open or to have access openings. The access openings for any of the present invention's cavities can be made in a variety of shapes and sizes with or without closing mechanisms. The access openings can be designed in variety of ways for functionality, or for appearance purposes.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

This invention's main objective is to combine two items of entertainment, snack and play, into one tethered toy like object(1). This tethered toy like object has one or more refillable or removable snack food cavities(5) for the containment of snack food. It is capable of having one or more toy storage cavities(6) made for containing loose or tethered toy like objects. The said tethered toy like object can be made in a variety of shapes, sizes, and materials. Any or all parts of the toy like object can have movable and or battery powered electronic mechanisms incorporated in or on it. The present invention can be made gender specific or unisex. It can allow for a plastic sleeve or sleeves to insert pictures. It can be used as a forum for teaching and/or Occupational Therapy. This invention can be of one color or a variety of colors. Said invention can allow for other objects to be attached to it in the inside or on the outside using any attachment device made from any or all of the below stated materials, e.g. toys, teethers, drinking aparatus. This tethered toy like object can be made for permanent or temporary use. The tethered toy like object can be made to have sound devices put in or on it and to have material that makes stimulating sound, put in or on it.

The present invention and any or all parts that comprise it can be made of insulated or non-insulated materials. All or any of the cavities within or outside the tethered toy like object can be designed to remain open or to have access openings(10). The access openings for any of the present invention's cavities can be made in a variety of shapes and sizes with or without closing mechanisms. All or any of the access openings can be designed in variety of different ways for functionality, or for appearance purposes. The toy like object can have one or more snack food cavities(5) made for containing a variety of snack food. Said snack food cavities(5) can have one or more access openings(10) for a variety of ways to access snacks.

The tether(2) should be made strong enough to withstand a child's strength when pulling on it. It should be easy for the caregiver to attach and detach from another object. The tether can be made in various lengths, widths or thickness'. The materials used to manufacture the tether can be made from any or in combination with any of the below stated materials. The tether can be attached to another object by use of any of the below stated materials. The tether can be made with elasticity or without elasticity. It is recommended that the tethered line be of a length that is within the standards of the current child safety guidelines.

Any or all parts of this invention can be made of or in combination with, any of the following materials, e.g. cloth like materials, plastic, Velcro adhesive or the like, insulated materials, netting, mesh, elastic materials, micro fiber, cardboard, rubber, nylon, metal, snaps, buttons, zipper, zip locking system, manually tied cloth, hook and eye, clip, open ended or closed loops or the like made of plastic or cloth, latch, rope, or rope like material, and materials used to fill or stuff pillows and stuffed animals. This invention can be made for any or all of the following cleaning formats, e.g. dishwasher safe, surface cleaning, clothes washer or dryer. The description of any part of the present invention allows for other variations or modifications to be ascertained to those of skill in the art.

Claims

1. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food, which simultaneously entertains a child with food and play comprising:

(a) a tether

(b) a toy like object.

(c) a snack food cavity or cavities made to contain food.

(d) a toy storage cavity or cavities made to contain other toy like objects.

2. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said tether is used for connecting said tethered toy like object to another object and can be made in various lengths, widths or thickness'.

3. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said invention can have other objects attached to it by any attachment type of device, by using any of the below stated materials, e.g. drinking apparatus, toys, teething apparatus.

4. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein any of the following materials can be used to manufacture any or all parts of the present invention:

cloth like material, plastic, Velcro, adhesive or the like, insulated materials, netting, mesh, elastic materials, micro fiber, cardboard, rubber, nylon, metal, snaps, buttons, zipper, zip locking system, hook and eye, clip, open ended or closed loops or the like, latch, rope, or rope like material, materials used to fill or stuff pillows and stuffed animals.

5. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said tether can be attached to another object by a variety of different ways by using any of the above mentioned materials.

6. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said tethered toy like object can be made in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors.

7. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said tethered toy like object can be made for permanent or temporary use.

8. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said tethered toy like object can be made to have sound devices put in or on it and or to have materials that makes stimulating sound, put in or on it.

9. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said tethered toy like object can allow for a plastic sleeve or sleeves for the insertion of pictures.

10. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said toy like object and any part, or all that comprise it, can be cleaned by any of the following formats: surface cleaned, dishwasher safe and/or machine washable.

11. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said toy like object can have battery powered mechanisms incorporated in or on it.

12. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said tethered toy like object can be made gender specific or unisex.

13. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said tethered toy like object can be used as a forum for teaching and/or Occupational Therapy.

14. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said tethered toy like object must allow for one or many refillable or removable snack food cavities made for the containment of any type of snack food.

15. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said snack food cavity or cavities can be designed in a variety of shapes and sizes with one or more access openings that can be made with or without closing mechanisms.

16. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said snack food cavity or cavities access openings can be designed in a variety of different ways for functionality, or for appearance purposes.

17. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said tethered toy like object can allow for one or many refillable or removable toy storage cavities made for the containment of any type of loose or tethered toy like objects.

18. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said toy storage cavity or cavities can be designed in a variety of shapes and sizes with one or more access openings that can be made with or without closing mechanisms.

19. A tethered toy like object made for containing snack food as recited in claim 1, wherein said toy storage cavity or cavities access openings can be designed in a variety of different ways for functionality, or for appearance purposes.
