A combination fashion item and adornment for at least one of wearing by a user and carrying by such user. The combination fashion item and adornment includes at least one of an article of clothing and accessory, the at least one of an article of clothing and accessory having at least one aperture of a predetermined shape and a predetermined size at a predetermined location on the at least one of an article of clothing and accessory. The combination fashion item and adornment further includes at least one adornment member for fitting within the at least one aperture, such at least one adornment member being held in place by a fastening mechanism.

CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

This patent application is related to and claims priority from U.S. Provisional Patent Application Ser. No. 60/826,398 filed Sep. 21, 2006.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates, in general, to fashion items and adornments and, more particularly, this invention relates to a combination of fashion items and adornments.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Prior to the conception and development of the present invention, fashion items such as jeans, trousers, pants, purses, hats, shoes, belts and other articles as are generally well known in the prior art, have been used and worn by individuals for a variety of utilitarian purposes such as covering a user's body, keeping warm, and carrying personal items. Never before, however, has a fashion item been combined with an adornment in such as way that provides a unique ever-changeable item that enables creative self expression.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention provides a combination fashion item and adornment for at least one of wearing by a user and carrying by such user. The combination fashion item and adornment includes at least one of an article of clothing and accessory, the at least one of an article of clothing and accessory having at least one aperture of a predetermined shape and a predetermined size at a predetermined location on the at least one of an article of clothing and accessory. The combination fashion item and adornment further includes at least one adornment member for fitting within the at least one aperture, such at least one adornment member being held in place by a fastening means.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

It is, therefore, one of the primary objects of the present invention to provide a combination fashion item and adornment that will provide an attention-grabbing item that will enable an effective flirtation between a user and other individuals.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a unique ever-changeable item that enables creative self expression by a user.

Still another object of the present invention is to provide a fashion item that will enable a user to coordinate articles of fashion, clothing, accessories and jewelry more extensively.

Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a user with a provocative but subdued way to gain attention.

An additional object of the present invention is to provide a fashion article which can easily be changed to promote certain “looks” ranging from casual to elegant and glamorous.

In addition to the various objects and advantages of the present invention described with some degree of specificity above it should be obvious that additional objects and advantages of the present invention will become more readily apparent to those persons who are skilled in the relevant art from the following more detailed description of the invention, particularly, when such description is taken in conjunction with the attached drawing figures and with the appended claims.

FIG. 1 is a view showing a combination fashion item and adornment according to a one embodiment of the invention.

FIG. 2 is a view showing a combination fashion item and adornment according to a second embodiment of the invention, and in particular showing a pair of jeans inside out.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF A PRESENTLY PREFERRED AND VARIOUS ALTERNATIVE EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION

Prior to proceeding to the more detailed description of the present invention it should be noted that, for the sake of clarity and understanding, identical components which have identical functions have been identified with identical reference numerals throughout the several views illustrated in the drawing figures.

Reference is now made, more particularly, to FIGS. 1-7. According to a first embodiment of the invention, illustrated in FIGS. 1-7, is a combination fashion item and adornment generally designated 10. The combination fashion item and adornment 10 includes at least one of an article of clothing generally designated 11 and accessory generally designated 12.

Such at least one of an article of clothing 11 and accessory 12 having at least one aperture 14 of a predetermined shape and a predetermined size at a predetermined location on such at least one of an article of clothing 11 and accessory 12.

The combination fashion item and adornment 10 further includes an adornment member generally designated 16 for fitting within such at least one aperture 14. The adornment member 16 is held in place by a fastening means generally designated 18. In the presently preferred embodiment of the invention it is preferred that that fastening means 18 is at least one of a hook and loop type fastener 20 and a button type fastening means 22. It is presently most preferred that the fastening means 18 is attached to an inner portion generally designated 24 of the at least one article of clothing and accessory 12.

In the presently preferred embodiment of the invention it is preferred that the at least one article of clothing 11 and accessory 12 is at least one of a pair of jeans 26, a purse 28, a belt 30, a hat 32, a pair of shoes 34, and a backpack 36.

It is presently most preferred that the at least one of an article of clothing and accessory 12 is a pair of jeans 26.

In the presently preferred embodiment of the invention it is preferred that the adornment member 16 is at least one of jewelry 38, mesh 40, lace 42, a photograph 44 and fabric 46.

It is presently most preferred that the adornment member 16 is jewelry 38.

In the presently preferred embodiment of the invention the at least one aperture 14 is located on a portion of the pair of jeans 26 which covers such user's upper buttocks when worn by such user.

In the presently preferred embodiment of the invention the predetermined shape of the at least one aperture 14 is at least one of a circle 48, a heart 50, a teardrop 52, an oval 54, and a star 56.

In the presently preferred embodiment of the invention, the at least one aperture 14 includes a reinforcement means generally designated 58 around said at least one aperture's 14 edges. It is presently preferred that the reinforcement means 58 is stitching generally designated 60.

According to yet another embodiment of the invention the at least one of an article of clothing 11 and accessory 12 has a plurality of apertures generally designated 62 and a plurality of adornment members generally designated 64 for fitting interchangeably within such plurality of apertures 62.

While a presently preferred and various alternative embodiments of the present invention have been described in sufficient detail above to enable a person skilled in the relevant art to make and use the same it should be obvious that various other adaptations and modifications can be envisioned by those persons skilled in such art without departing from either the spirit of the invention or the scope of the appended claims.

Claims

1. A combination fashion item and adornment for at least one of wearing by a user and carrying by a user said combination fashion item and adornment comprising:

a. at least one of an article of clothing and accessory, said at least one of an article of clothing and accessory having at least one aperture of a predetermined shape and a predetermined size at a predetermined location on said at least one of an article of clothing and accessory; and
b. at least one adornment member for fitting within said at least one aperture, said at least one adornment member being held in place by a fastening means.

2. A combination fashion item and adornment according to claim 1 wherein said at least one of an article of clothing and accessory is a pair of jeans.

3. A combination fashion item and adornment according to claim 1 wherein said at least one adornment member is at least one of jewelry, mesh and lace.

4. A combination fashion item and adornment according to claim 1 wherein said at least one adornment member is at least one of a photograph and fabric.

5. A combination fashion item and adornment according to claim 2 wherein said at least one aperture is located on a portion of said pair of jeans which covers said user's upper buttocks when worn by said user.

6. A combination fashion item and adornment according to claim 5 wherein said at least one adornment member is jewelry.

7. A combination fashion item and adornment according to claim 1 wherein said predetermined shape of said at least one aperture is at least one of a circle, a heart, a teardrop, an oval, and a star.

8. A combination fashion item and adornment according to claim 1 wherein said at least one aperture includes a reinforcement means around said at least one aperture's edges.

9. A combination fashion item and adornment according to claim 1 wherein said at least one of an article of clothing and accessory is at least one of a purse, a belt, a hat, a pair of shoes, and a backpack.

10. A combination fashion item and adornment according to claim 8 wherein said reinforcement means is stitching.

11. A combination fashion item and adornment according to claim 1 wherein said fastening means is at least one of a hook and loop type fastener and a button type fastening means.

12. A combination fashion item and adornment according to claim 1 wherein said fastening means is attached to an inner portion of said at least one of an article of clothing and accessory.

13. A combination fashion item and adornment according to claim 1 wherein said at least one of an article of clothing and accessory has a plurality of apertures and a plurality of adornment members for fitting interchangeably within all of said plurality of apertures.
