Waterproof assembly for a blower
A waterproof assembly is provided to an air blower and has a cap adapted to be securely mounted on top of the circuit board and a primary seal is adapted to be sandwiched between the motor casing and the circuit board. A through hole is adapted to be defined through a periphery of the motor casing and a tube is extendable into the through hole to allow extension of control wires. A secondary seal is sandwiched between the tube and the periphery defining the through hole and a frame is adapted to be formed on the periphery defining the through hole of the motor casing and has a step to support the primary seal. The circuit board is mounted on top of the frame to sandwich the primary seal.

1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a waterproof assembly, and more particularly to a waterproof assembly for a blower so as to protect the blower from damage caused by humidity.
2. Description of the Prior Art
A blower installed outside the house is generally aimed at providing air to an object so as to inflate the object or a furnace to boost the heating efficiency. However, due to the humidity, the conventional blower is easily malfunctioned. The humidity in the air is considered to be the primary factor to affect the life span of an air blower. If the humidity problem is not properly dealt with, works that require the assistance of the air blower can not be done and the operator may suffer from potential fire caused by malfunctioned air blower. In order to prevent the air blower from being damaged by humidity, some operators move the air blower indoors or build a shelter for the air blower. Moving the air blower inside the room does temporarily solve the problem of infiltration by water into the air blower. However, the noise caused by the operation of the air blower pollutes the environments and endangers the operators' health due to the noise.
To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention tends to provide an improved waterproof assembly to mitigate the aforementioned problems.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe primary objective of the present invention is to provide an improved waterproof assembly for an air blower. The waterproof assembly of the present invention includes a frame adapted to be formed on a motor casing and having a through hole in communication with an interior of the motor casing, a primary seal is rested on a step of the frame, a secondary seal is supported by a face defining the through hole of the motor casing, a tube extending into the interior of the motor casing and having two extensions respectively extending in two opposed directions to sandwich the secondary seal with the face defining the through hole, a circuit board mounted on top of the frame to sandwich the primary seal with the step of the frame and a waterproof cover mounted on top of the circuit board to cover circuits on the circuit board.
The technique used in the present invention is that a cap is adapted to be securely mounted on top of the circuit board and a primary seal is adapted to be sandwiched between the motor casing and the circuit board.
A further technique used in the present invention is that a through hole is adapted to be defined through a periphery of the motor casing and a tube is extendable into the through hole.
Still a further technique used in the present invention is that a secondary seal is sandwiched between the tube and the periphery defining the through hole.
Another technique used in the present invention is that a frame is adapted to be formed on the periphery defining the through hole of the motor casing and has a step to support the primary seal. The circuit board is mounted on top of the frame to sandwich the primary seal.
Other objects, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
With reference to
With reference to
The two extensions (132) are formed on an outer periphery of a top portion of the tube (13) so that a bottom portion of the tube (13) is able to extend into the through hole (11) before the secondary seal (131) is placed around the periphery adjacent to the through hole (11). Thus the secondary seal (131) is sandwiched between the periphery of the motor casing (10) and the two extensions (132) of the tube (13).
With reference to
It is to be noted that the circuit board (15) has multiple contacting seats (151) from which control wires (not shown) are extended to connect to the motor (20) (as shown in
