Toilet-floor shield

The TOILETFLOOR SHIELD will be a new product in line with the toilet fixtures and bathroom supplies. It is a clear flat light weight product that can come in four basic bathroom fixture colors. It is made from a thin sheet of steel. It has a soft white weather stripping complete around the outer edging of the model. The TOILETFLOOR SHIELD resembles a bathroom mat that will attractively fit in place around the toilet basing. It can fit or slide neatly in under the toilet base to the flange. It slides far enough in, to the flange that any urine will stay on the shield and not reach the original flooring. The experiment is, that all urine stay on the TOILETFLOOR SHIELD and not reach under the shield to the original flooring. This is how the TOILETFLOOR SHIELD saves and protect the flooring to last longer and cut down on those unwanted stale urine odors around the toilet base areas. It is a non-toxic chemically treated product. When manufactured, it will include the non-toxic brands that are already on the market. We feel this product is absolutely not by far to soon coming to serve the American people. It is ready for demonstration and to stand up to it's TRADEMARK name. “PROTECTION PLUS”.

It solves existing problems, such as unwanted lingering urine odors and early ruination and deterioration to the toilet base flooring area. No more stale and unpleasant urine odor while taking a bath, shower, or simply using the commode. This product resembles a bathroom floor-mat and blends in well with Bathroom Fixture Décor.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

From our perspective, we the inventors of this invention have put together three elements in making a TOILET-FLOOR SHIELD. The three elements are:

    • 1. Toilet commode
    • 2. Thin sheet of steel
    • 3. Soft white weather stripping

Once these elements are put together, it will be a one piece product.

Materials:

There are four simple materials needed to create a TOILET-FLOOR SHIELD.

    • 1. One 34½ inches long×23 inches wide of a thin sheet of steel.
    • 2. 116 inches long, soft white weather stripping (116 inches is equivalent to 9 feet 8 inches.)
    • 3. Commode
    • 4. A pair of white gloves

Tools:

There are six tools necessary to work with, in creating a TOILET-FLOOR SHIELD.

1. Table (the table should be long and wide enough to work with one 34½ inches long×23 inches wide thin sheet of steel.

When the square shape style TOILET-FLOOR SHIELD, TRACED DRAWING is CUT out at the beginning of the cutting process, you will CUT the “TRACED DRAWING,” you drew on the sheet of steel all the way completely to the end of the sheet of steel until the cut steel, snaps at the end.

Cutting the steel to the very end, will cause the shield to form two loose sidings, still attached to the shield. A left side and a right side, but still a one piece work of art. The CUTTING process to the very end of the traced lined drawing, will form the two loose sides, the left side of the shield and the right side of the shield. The left side and right side will allow the square style floor shield to slide in place and fit correctly around the toilet base.

Instructions To Installing THE Toilet-Floor Shield.

1. Turn off main water line to toilet. 2. Have a few towels or cloths on hand for dripping water when time for moving toilet. 3. Unscrew existing toilet-base bolts from toilet and floor.

4. Carefully lift and move existing toilet from toilet spot. Sit toilet off to the side.

5. Clean and sanitize toilet area well where toilet sat.

For Oval Shape-Base-Style Toilets:

a. Place or lay evenly the oval shape TOILET-FLOOR SHIELD over the toilet floor hole opening. The toilet flange should show through the center opening of the oval TOILET-FLOOR SHIELD.

b. Sit toilet back in place evenly on top of the TOILET-FLOOR SHIELD you installed.

c. Bolt down toilet tightly, so that toilet does not rock or shake. Toilet should sit steady and secured.

For Square-Base Style Toilets:

a. Place square shape TOILET-FLOOR SHIELD over toilet floor hole opening. Toilet flange should show through the center opening of the square shape TOILET-FLOOR SHIELD: (or) the square shape TOILET-FLOOR SHIELD can be carefully pushed or slid in place around the toilet hole and flange. This is done by carefully laying the TOILET-FLOOR SHIELD on the floor in front of the toilet. Slide and center toilet floor shield back enough to flange, that when toilet is sat back in place, 1½ inches of the steel TOILET-FLOOR SHIELD should extend inward toward the toilet hole opening and flange. Any urine contact, it will drain off the floor shield in the toilet hole drainage opening making no contact to the floor area

2. Cloth (bath towel size).

3. A pair of shears (steel cutting shears cuts best. It gives a more even smooth cut and trim).

4. Glue (crazy glue, gorilla glue etc.) 5. Clothes pins (wooden or plastic) 6. Pencil or ink pen, (pencil # 2., ink pen, black ink).

Preparing to make the Toiletfloor Shield:

Put gloves on.

Lay out on floor one 34½ inches long by 23 inches wide one sheet of thin steel.

Place toilet commode evenly centered on the sheet of steel in the floor or place commode on what ever type of material you choose to make the product from.

Trace with pencil or ink pen around the bottom base of the commode you put on the sheet of thin steel.

Carefully remove toilet commode off the sheet of steel in the floor. Sit commode safely to the side, out the way of your work area.

Place the 34½ inches long by 23 inches wide the traced sheet of steel, or what ever type of material you choose to make the product from on the table.

Sit or stand, what ever position is comfortable. Cut out complete, the traced pencil or ink pen lined drawing of the toilet commode bottom base you traced.

Move all excess outer edge steel you cut from around the traced drawing steel you cut, and throw away. Wipe edges clean with cloth.

The piece of traced steel you cut out, is now the early stage of the “MODEL”, the TOILETFLOOR SHIELD being created without the overflow guard attached. The overflow guard is the next step in making the TOILETFLOOR SHIELD.

The Overflow Guard:

To create the overflow g Measure off 116 inches of soft white weather stripping. (116 inches is equivalent to 9 feet 8 inches.

Fold and crease down the entire 116 inch length of soft white weather stripping. The stripping is now a two sided fold stripping.

Place glue inside the two sided folded crease stripping as you gradually glue stripping on the edging of the cut piece sheet of steel the “MODEL”. To glue and attach stripping onto the sheet of steel you can start by:

a. Hold the end of folded stripping in your hand, letting the rest of the stripping dangle to the floor.

b. Pour or squeeze glue in the folded crease area of the stripping, gradually slipping stripping onto the edging of the sheet of steel the “MODEL”. Glue (approx.) 5-7 inches space at a time to keep the glue from air drying before stripping is slipped in place on to the sheet of steel the “MODEL”.

c. Press, rub and smooth with palm of hand and fingers. This will help the glue stick faster. Use this method off and on throughout the complete weather stripping process.

d. Glue stripping to the edging of the cut-out piece, the sheet of steel, which is now the “MODEL”. The clothes pins will help support the stripping to stay attached to the sheet of steel, the “MODEL”. Place clothes pins after each gluing onto the Model's edging, to support and hold the edging which is the stripping in place until glue is dry. Glue dries within 6-8 hours. The OVER-FLOW GUARD is designed to stop over-flow water from running onto the floor surface. It safe guards the floor from getting wet, if there should happen to be a toilet water over-flow. Let “model” lay on the table until glue have completely dried. Six to eight hours is recommended for drying.

Final Step to Making the Toilet-Floor Shield:

Carefully remove clothes pins from “MODEL'S” edging, glue could stick to clothes pins. Do not rip or damage the stripping removing pins.

When glue is dry, wipe off access glue and smudges with soft dry cloth. For best wipe-down job, a terry towel cloth shows best results. To shine the TOILET-FLOOR SHIELD, spray or dampen cloth with alcohol, smudges and marks disappears.

The TOILET-FLOOR SHIELD is completed, “ready for use”.
