METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING A FRONT COVER TO A BUSH IN A PNEUMATIC TOOL

A method for assembling a front cover to a bush in a pneumatic tool is to perform a leading operation first in which a blank of front cover is worked with hydraulic forming and being roughly machined and a blank of bush is roughly machined and heat-treated and the then the front cover is joined tightly to the bush before a process of surface treatment being conducted to obtain a finished piece. Hence, in addition to work efficiency and precision of the integral structure of the pneumatic tool being enhanced, it is capable of extending life span and lowering production cost of the pneumatic tool substantively.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention is related to a method for assembling a front cover to a bush in a pneumatic tool and particularly to a method with which a blank of front cover is joined to a blank of bush to be performed with fine-machining and surface treatment for simplifying operation of assembling and promoting work efficiency and precision of the integral structure of the pneumatic tool.

2. Brief Description of the Related Art

The conventional pneumatic tool such as pneumatic spanner or pneumatic screw driver provides a front cover 10 and a bush 20 as shown in FIG. 5. A method for assembling the front cover 10 to the bush 20 is illustrated by a block diagram shown in FIG. 6. The process for assembling the front cover 10 to the bush 20 includes (1) a blank of hollow pipe shaped front cover 10 and a blank of hollow pipe shaped bush 20 are made in advance; (2) the blank of front cover 10 is worked with a hydraulic forming machine to define the contour of the front cover 10; (3) the front cover 10 is roughly machined; (4) the roughly machined front cover 10 is fine-machined; (5) the front cover 10 is conducted with surface treatment; (6) meanwhile, the blank of bush 20 is roughly machined; (7) the roughly machined bush 20 is fine-machined; (8) the bush 20 is conducted with heat treatment; (9) the front cover 10 after step (5) is assembled to the bush 20 after step (8) as a finished piece for further operation.

The preceding process for joining the front cover to the bush involves too many steps and is too much complicated.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An object of the present invention is to provide a method for assembling a front cover to a bush in a pneumatic tool with which process of machining with operation of assembling are simplified such that life span of the pneumatic tool is extended and production cost is lowered in addition to enhancing work efficiency and precision of integral structure of the pneumatic tool.

Accordingly, the method for assembling a cover to a bush in a pneumatic tool according to the present invention is to perform a leading operation in which a blank of front cover is worked with hydraulic forming and being roughly machined and a blank of bush is roughly machined and heat-treated and the then the front cover is joined tightly to the bush before a process of surface treatment being conducted to obtain a finished piece.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The detail structure, the applied principle, the function and the effectiveness of the present invention can be more fully understood with reference to the following description and accompanying drawings, in which:

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of a pneumatic tool according to the present invention;

FIG. 2 is perspective illustrating a front cover being assembled to a bush in the pneumatic tool according to the present invention;

FIG. 3 is a perspective view illustrating the front cover being detached from the bush shown in FIG. 2;

FIG. 4 is a block diagram illustrating steps of a method for assembling a front cover to a bush according to the present invention;

FIG. 5 is a perspective view illustrating the front cover being detached from the bush in a conventional pneumatic tool; and

FIG. 6 is a block diagram illustrating steps of the conventional method for assembling a front cover to a bush in a pneumatic tool.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 4, a method for assembling a cover to a bush in a pneumatic tool according to the present invention includes following steps:

(1) A blank of hollow pipe shaped front cover 10 and a blank of hollow pipe shaped bush 20 are made in advance.

(2) The blank of front cover 10 is worked with hydraulic forming to define contour of the cover 10;

(3) The formed front cover 10 is roughly machined.

(4) Meanwhile, the blank of bush 20 is roughly machined.

(5) The roughly machined bush 20 is heat-treated.

(6) The front cover 10 after step (3) and the bush 20 after step (5) are tightly attached to each other with a special machine tool such as a special riveting machine or a special welding machine, which specializes in joining the cover 10 and the bush 20.

(7) The front cover 10 joined with the bush 20 is fine-machined.

(8) The surface of the fine-machined front cover 10 with the bush 20 is treated as a finished piece for further usage.

In short, the method for assembling a front cover to a bush in a pneumatic tool is to perform a leading operation in which a blank of cover is worked with hydraulic forming and being roughly machined and a blank of bush is roughly machined and heat-treated and the then the cover is joined tightly to the bush before a process of surface treatment being conducted to obtain a finished piece.

It is appreciated that the method for assembling a front cover to a bush in a pneumatic tool according to the present invention has simplified manufacturing process and assembly way for the front cover being joined to the bush. Hence, in addition to work efficiency and precision of the integral structure of the pneumatic tool being capable of being enhanced, life span can be extended and production cost can be reduced substantively.

While the invention has been described with referencing to preferred embodiments thereof, it is to be understood that modifications or variations may be easily made without departing from the spirit of this invention, which is defined by the appended claims.
