Tool Bag Assembly

A tool bag assembly is provided. The tool bag assembly is configured to position a first tool within a tool bag such that a portion of the first tool can function as a handle for the tool bag assembly. The tool bag assembly may also include a frame for supporting the first tool within the tool bag. The tool bag may define a first compartment for storing at least a portion of the first tool and a second tool. In addition to the first compartment, the tool bag may include additional compartments for storing additional tools or attachments in a secure manner. The bag includes access flaps for providing limited access to the first tool to grasp as a handle for the tool bag assembly and to provide adequate access to the storage areas to load and remove tools and attachments from the bag.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1) Field of the Invention

Bags and other portable containers and boxes for storing and carrying hand tools.

2) Description of Related Art

Contractors, hobbyists, and other users of hand tools often store and carry at least some of their hand tools in portable tool boxes or bags. In general, the bags are configured to provide one or more internal storage areas for holding hand tools. More specifically, many bags are configured to provide a relatively large storage area to accommodate more than one hand tool and hand tools of various sizes. Some bags also provide multiple pockets and other internal storage areas to provide additional organized storage. Although it may be desirable to provide large storage areas for the tools, it may also be desirable to minimize or compact the overall size of the tool bag and/or to provide a more rigid structure to a soft-sided tool bag to allow for easier handling and storage of the tool bag itself.

In addition to the hand tools, accessories and attachments often associated with the tools are also stored within the bag. Typically, the accessories and attachments are significantly smaller than the tools themselves. In many conventional tool bags, the accessories, attachments, and hand tools (collectively referred to as the “stored items”) are stored together in the same storage area. Due to the different sizes and often lack of support for the individual stored items within the storage area, the stored items often become disorganized and tend to shift around in the storage area when the tool bag is moved around. The disorganization of the stored items make it more difficult for the user of the tool bag to take inventory of the tool bag or find a particular stored item within the tool bag.

In light of the foregoing, it would be desirable to provide a tool bag assembly that facilitates the storage of hand tools and attachments in a more organized and secured manner. It may also be desirable if the overall size of the tool bag was compacted and/or the structure of the tool bag was made more rigid.

BRIEF SUMMARY

Embodiments of the present invention provide a tool bag assembly configured to position and secure a first hand tool within a tool bag such that a portion of the first hand tool can function as a handle for the tool bag assembly. Moreover, the first hand tool may be secured substantially within a first compartment of the tool bag such that the rest of the first compartment provides adequate storage area for at least a second hand tool. In addition to the first compartment, the tool bag may include additional compartments for storing additional hand tools and/or attachments in a secure and organized manner.

For example, according to an embodiment of the present invention, the tool bag assembly includes a bag and a frame. The bag defines at least a first compartment and includes at least a first access flap and a second access flap. The second access flap is defined within the first access flap. Each of the first and second access flaps has at least a first position for allowing access to at least a portion of an interior of the first compartment and a second position for closing the first compartment. The frame includes at least a first tool supportable within the bag in a substantially fixed position proximate the second assess flap such that the first tool is graspable when the second access flap is in the first position and is configured to be used as a handle of the tool bag assembly.

The frame may include a first support member and a second support member for supporting the first tool within the bag. The bag may include a first partition and a second partition and further define a second compartment and a third compartment. In particular, the first partition separates the second compartment from the first compartment and the second partition separates the third compartment from the first compartment. The first tool of the frame may extend from a first end to a second end and the first end extends through the first partition into the second compartment and the second end extends through the second partition into the third compartment. The first support member may be contained within the second compartment and the second support member may be contained within the third compartment. Also, each of the first and second support members may define an aperture for receiving an end of the first tool and includes a lock for locking the end of the first tool relative to the support member.

The tool bag assembly may further include a second tool containable within the first compartment opposite the second access flap from the first tool in the substantially fixed position. In embodiments defining a second compartment of the tool bag, a first attachment for the second tool may be containable within the second compartment. The frame may include a first support member and a second support member for supporting the first tool within the bag. And the first support member may be containable within the second compartment and the second support member may be containable in the third compartment. The first support member may be configured to support the first attachment for the second tool in a substantially fixed configuration within the second compartment. The tool bag assembly may include a third tool or a second attachment containable within the third compartment and the second support member may be configured to support the third tool or the second attachment within the third compartment.

According to an embodiment of the present invention the first tool comprises a level, the second tool comprises a cutting tool, and the first attachment comprises a blade for the cutting tool.

In yet another embodiment of the present invention a frame for the tool bag defining a cross-section is provided. The frame may include a first tool, a first support member, and a second support member. The first tool extends from a first end to a second end. The first support member defines an outer perimeter corresponding substantially with the cross-section of the tool bag and a first aperture for receiving at least the first end of the first tool. And the second support member defines an outer perimeter corresponding substantially with the cross-section of the tool bag and a second aperture for receiving at least the second end of the first tool.

The first tool may define a first opening proximate the first end and a second opening proximate the second end. The first support member may include a lock configured to engage the first opening for holding the first end relative to the first support member. And the second support member may include a lock configured to engage the second opening for holding the second end of the first tool relative to the second support member. The first support member may define a recessed portion for supporting one or more attachments of a second tool held within said tool bag.

In another embodiment of the present invention a tool bag for storing at least a first tool, a second tool, and one or more attachments for at least one of the first and second tools is provided. The tool bag includes an outer covering, a first partition, and a second partition. The outer covering extends from a first end to a second end and defines an interior, a first access flap, and a second access flap. The second access flap may be within the first access flap. Each of the first and second access flaps has at least a first position for allowing access to at least a portion of the interior and a second position for closing the interior. The first partition is positioned within the interior proximate the first end and defines a first aperture for receiving at least a first end of the first tool. And the second partition is positioned within the interior proximate the second end and defines a second aperture for receiving at least a second of the first tool. The outer covering and the first and second partitions define a first compartment between the first and second partitions configured to hold the second tool and at least a portion of the first tool.

The outer covering and the first partition may define a second compartment extending between the first end and the first partition. And the outer covering and the second partition may define a third compartment extending between the second end and the second partition.

According to some embodiments of the present invention the tool bag may be combined with a frame. The frame includes the first tool, a first support member, and a second support member. The first support member is configured to fit within the second compartment and support at least the first end of the first tool and the second support member is configured to fit within the third compartment and support at least the second end of the first tool.

The first tool may define a first opening proximate the first end and a second opening proximate the second end. The first support member may include a lock configured to engage the first opening for holding the first end relative to the first support member and the second support member may include a lock configured to engage the second opening for holding the second end of the first tool relative to the second support member.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The present invention now will be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which some, but not all embodiments of the invention are shown. Indeed, this invention may be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein; rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will satisfy applicable legal requirements. Like numbers refer to like elements throughout.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a tool bag assembly 10 for storing and carrying one or more hand tools. According to the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the tool bag assembly 10 includes a bag 12 and a frame 20.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 2 through 4, the bag 12 defines at least a first compartment 14 that provides an interior storage area for at least one hand tool. The bag also includes at least a first access flap 16 and a second access flap 18. According to the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the second access flap 18 is defined within the first access flap 16. And each of the access flaps 16, 18 includes at least a first position and a second position. More specifically and as illustrated in FIG. 4, in the first position of the first access flap 16, the first access flap 16 is opened such that a user has access to the first compartment 14 for either putting one or more hand tools into the first compartment 14 or to remove hand tools out of the first compartment 14. As illustrated in FIG. 2, in the first position of the second access flap 18 and the second position of the first access flap 16, the second access flap 18 is opened while the rest of the first access flap 16 is closed. The opening of the second access flap 18 while the rest of the first access flap 16 is closed provides a more limited access to the first compartment 14 compared to the access when the entire first access flap 16 is opened as in FIG. 4. The limited access is configured to provide adequate access to the first compartment 14 for a user to reach at least partially into the first compartment 14 and grasp a portion of the frame as a handle as described in more detail below. FIG. 3 illustrates the first access flap 18 in an intermediate position between a first and opened position and a second and closed position. In other words, FIG. 3 is an illustration of the first access flap 18 being partially opened according to an embodiment of the present invention.

The relative size and shape of the access flaps 16, 18 to the rest of bag or to the first compartment may vary. In general, the size and shape of the access flaps 16, 18 may be any shape or size configured to provide the access and limited access as described above. For example and as shown in FIGS. 1a and 1b, the first access flap 16 may extend from proximately a bottom of the bag, up one side of the bag, and across a top of the bag and partially to and into a second side of the bag. The relative sizes, shapes, and positioning of the access flaps 16, 18 to each other may vary as well, such that together the access flaps 16, 18 may be configured to provide the access and limited access as described above. For example and as shown in FIGS. 1a and 1b, the second access flap 18 may be defined within the first access flap 16. Again as example and as shown, the second access flap 18 may be substantially centered within a portion of the first access flap 16 that corresponds to the top of the bag.

The bag 12 may further include a second compartment 22 and a third compartment 24. For example and as illustrated in FIG. 5, the bag 12 may include a first partition 26 and a second partition 28 that extending substantially across the cross-section of the bag such that the bag defines the first, second, and third compartments 14, 22, 24. The relative size and shape of the compartments 14, 22, 24 may vary relative to each other. For example, in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the first partition 26 is proximate a first end 30 of the bag such that the second compartment 22 extends from the first end 30 to the first partition 26; the second partition 28 is proximate a second end 32 of the bag such that the third compartment 24 extends from the second partition 28 to the second end 32; and the first compartment 14 extends from the first partition 26 to the second partition 28. Due to the proximity of the first and second partitions 26, 28 to their respective ends 30, 32 of the bag, the second and third compartments 22, 24 are significantly smaller than the first compartment 14, as least in the embodiment illustrated in the figures. However, in other embodiments, either the second compartment 22 or the third compartment 24 or both 22, 24 may be larger in size relative to the first compartment 14. The size of the compartments 14, 22, 24 may be varied by moving the position of one or more of the partitions 26, 28 relative to the ends 30, 32 of the bag. In other embodiments, the bag 12 may include additional partitions for defining additional compartments.

The bag 12 may further include a third access flap 34 and a fourth access flap 36 for providing access to the second and third compartments 22, 24 respectively. For example and as illustrated each of the third and fourth access flaps 34, 36 may define an end 30, 32 of the bag and have at least a first and opened position for allowing access to the compartment 22, 24 and a second and closed position for closing off the compartment 22, 24.

According to the embodiment illustrated, each of the access flap is securable to the rest of the bag by a zipper. However in other embodiments other fastening structures may be used to at least partially secure one or more of the access flaps to the bag. For example, in other embodiments, the bag may include snaps, Velcro®, other hook and loop fasteners, ties, and magnetic fasteners in addition to or instead of zippers for at least partially securing one or more the access flaps to the bag.

The frame 20 of the tool assembly according to embodiments of the present invention includes a first hand tool 38. The first hand tool 38 is supportable within the bag 12 in a substantially fixed position proximate the second access flap 18 such that the first hand tool 38 is graspable by a user through the opening provided by the second access flap 18 when the second access flap 18 is in the second and opened position. More specifically, the first hand tool 38 in the substantially fixed position and the second access flap 18 being in the second and opened position provides the user with an accessible handle to grab and carry the tool bag assembly 10 with, as illustrated in FIG. 2.

The first hand tool 38 extends from a first end 44 to a second end 46 and includes at least a portion that is graspable by a user as a handle, referred to herein as a “handle portion” 48. According to the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the first hand tool 38 comprises a level. More specifically, according to the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the first hand tool 38 comprises a laser level with a laser line cutting guide. However, according to other embodiments of the present invention, the first hand tool may comprise various other tools such as a ruler, socket wrench, screw driver, or any other tool that is supportable in a substantially fixed position proximate the second access flap within the bag, includes at least a portion that is accessible and graspable through the opening of the second access flap to function as a handle for the tool bag assembly, and is strong enough to support the intended weight of the tool bag assembly including the hand tools, accessories, and for attachments stored therein without substantially degrading the condition or operability of the first hand tool.

As explained above, the handle portion 38 may be any portion of the first hand tool that is accessible through the opening provided by the second access flap and is graspable by the user as a handle for the tool bag assembly. For example, according to the illustrated embodiment, the handle portion of the level may be a relatively narrow center region in which a user can wrap his or her hand around. In some embodiments, the handle portion may be specifically configured for use as a handle. For example, the handle portion may include a recessed area or one or more cut-outs or grooves to accommodate the grasping of the handle portion by the user, and/or the handle portion may includes a surface area comprising a particular texture or material, such as a tacky or rubberized substance to accommodate the gripping of the surface area by the user. In other embodiments, the handle portion may be any portion that although not specifically configured to be used as a handle is still graspable by the user and thus can still function as a handle.

The frame 20 may further include at least a first support member 40 and a second support member 42 for supporting the first hand tool 38 in the substantially fixed position. For example and as illustrated in FIGS. 3, 6, 7, and 9 the first support member 40 may define an aperture 50 for receiving at least the first end 44 of the first hand tool and the second support member 42 may define an aperture 52 for receiving at least the second end 46 of the first hand tool. One or both of the support members 40, 42 may include a lock 54, 56 for locking the first hand tool 38 relative to the support member or members 40, 42. For example, each lock may include a pin slidable between at least a first retracted position and a second extended position. In the first retracted position, the pin is removed from the aperture such that at least an end of the first hand tool is substantially free to enter into or out of the aperture. In the second extended position, the pin is extended into the aperture such that the pin engages the first hand tool (when the first hand tool is in the aperture) and inhibits any movement of the first hand tool in and out of the aperture. According to the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 11, the first hand tool 38 may define a first opening 92 proximate the first end 44 for receiving the pin of the lock 54 of the first support member and a second opening 94 proximate the second end 46 for receiving the pin of the lock 56 of the second support member.

As illustrated in FIGS. 6, 7, and 9, the first support member 54 and the second support member 56 may be generally shaped to correspond to the general shape of the cross-section of the bag 12. Corresponding the shapes of the support members 54, 56 to the cross-section of the bag 12 may assist in minimizing movement of the support members 54, 56 within the bag 12, at least in directions perpendicular to the length of the bag 12, which is generally defined by the distance between the first and second ends 30, 32 of the bag.

The frame 20 may be substantially fixed within the bag 12 such that the frame 20 is inhibited from moving within the bag 12. For example, with the first and second ends 44, 46 of the first hand tool locked into the apertures 50, 52 of the support members, each support member 40, 42 may be positioned near an end 30, 32 of the bag. The ends 30, 32 of the bag and the fixed distance between the support members 40, 42 inhibit the support members 40, 42 and the first hand tool 38 from sliding or moving along the length of the bag 12. Moreover, locking the first hand tool 38 into the apertures 50, 52 may inhibit, the first hand tool 38, including the handle portion 48, from twisting or rotating relative to the length of the bag. In embodiments wherein the first compartment 14 extends between a first partition 26 and a second partition 28 of the bag, the support members 40, 42 may be positioned near the partitions 26, 28 within the first compartment 14.

In other embodiments, such as the embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 3, 5 and 7, the first support member 40 may be contained within the second compartment 22 and the second support member 42 may be contained within the third compartment 24. More specifically, the width of each of the support members 40, 42 may correspond with the distance between the partition 26, 28 and the end 30, 32 of the bag that defines its respective compartment 22, 24 such that each support member 40, 42 is substantially in a fixed position between an end 30, 32, a partition 26, 28, and the cross-section of the bag. Substantially fixing the positions of the support members 40, 42 also fixes the position of the first hand tool 38 and thus the frame 20 within the bag 12.

Each of the first and second partitions 26, 28 may define an opening 58, 60 as best seen in FIGS. 5, 6, 7, and 9 for allowing the first hand tool 38 to extend through from the first compartment 14 to the second and third compartments 22, 24 such that the at least the ends 44, 46 of the first hand tool can engage the apertures 50, 52 of the first and second support members 40, 42.

As shown in FIG. 4, the tool bag assembly 10 may configured to store at least a second hand tool 62 in the first compartment 14 below the first hand tool 38. More specifically, the first hand tool 38 is positioned to extend generally across the top of the first compartment 14 such that the handle portion 48 of the first hand tool is proximate the second access flap 18 as described above and the first compartment 14 is configured to provide enough storage area below the first hand tool 38 to accommodate at least a second hand tool 62.

A user may access the second hand tool 62 and the rest of the first compartment 14 by moving the first access flap 16 to the first and opened position. In some embodiments, it may be helpful to first remove the first hand tool 38. According to the embodiment illustrated, the first hand tool 38 may be removed by accessing the locks 54, 56 on the first and second support members 40, 42 through the second and third access flaps 16, 18 and unlocking the first hand tool 38 from the apertures 50, 52 of the support members and removing the first and second ends 30, 32 of the first hand tool from the support members 40, 42. However, in other embodiments, such as the one illustrated in the figures, access to the first compartment 14 may be adequate to remove or load the second hand tool 62 or other hand tools even when the first hand tool 38 is in a substantially fixed position within the bag 12. For example and as explained above, according to the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the first access flap 16 extends along a side of the bag 12. When the first access flap 16 is in the first and opened position, the first access flap 16 may provide an opening along the side of the bag 12 that is large enough to remove or load hand tools, accessories, and attachments from or into the first compartment 14 as best shown in FIG. 4.

One or both the support members 40, 41 may be configured to support additional hand tools and/or attachments or accessories of hand tools. According to the embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 6, 7, and 8, the first support member 40 may define a lip 82 and an opening 84 for supporting a third hand tool 86 in the second compartment 22. For example, the third hand tool 86 may be a compass or protractor with angular markings for measuring and cutting angles. The lip 82 provides an arched surface that corresponds to an outer arched surface 88 of the third hand tool and the opening 84 of the first support member corresponds to an extension 90 of the third hand tool. More specifically, the first support member 40 may support the third hand tool 86 by resting the outer arched surface 88 of the third hand tool on the lip 82 of the first support member and inserting the extension 90 of the third hand tool into the opening of the first support member.

As another example, the second support member 42 may define a recessed area 64 configured to receive at least a portion of one or more tool attachments. According to the embodiment illustrate in FIGS. 9 and 10, the recessed area 64 is generally circular in shape for receiving a set of tool blades 66. The set of the tool blades 66 may include a plurality of circular tool blades 66 stacked one on top of the other inside a holder 70. The set of tool blades 66 may include a screw 72 extending from the holder to a distal end. In a locked position, the screw 72 extends from the holder 70 through the tool blades 68 and beyond the top tool blade. The set of tool blades may further include a nut or knob 74 for engaging the distal end of the screw 72 for securing the tool blades to the screw 72 and holder 70. In other embodiments, instead of using a nut and a screw for securing the tool blades to the holder, a pin and a post or other similar central support element may be used. In the embodiment illustrated, the holder 70 includes a rim 76 that extends around at least some of the tool blades 68. The rim 76 includes one or more grooves 78 which correspond to one or more protrusions 80 extending partially into the recessed area 64 of the first support member. The set of tool blades 66 may be substantially fixed relative to the first support member 40, and thus the second compartment 22, by inserting the set of tool blades 66 into the first recessed area 64 such that the grooves 78 and protrusions 80 are aligned to each other, and once the grooves 78 clear the protrusions 80, rotating the set of tool blades 66 such that the grooves 78 and protrusions 80 are misaligned to each other. Once the set of tool blades 66 is behind the protrusions in the recessed area 64, the protrusions 80 inhibit the set of tool blades 66 from moving out from the recessed area 64.

As used herein an “attachment” is a device or structure configured to form part of a hand tool. For example, in addition to the tool blades described above, attachments may be drill bits, screwdriver bits, sockets, or other replaceable tool heads. An “accessory” is a device or tool configured to provide a particular function independently but is generally intended to work with a second tool. For example, a compass may be considered an accessory to a cutting tool because the compass is intended to assist a user in cutting work pieces at particular angles. A level may be considered an accessory to several other tools including a cutting tool because a user typically uses a level with a cutting tool.

According to embodiments of the present invention, the tool bag assembly may function as a package for a tool kit. A tool kit is a group of hand tools, accessories, and/or attachments that are often used together to perform a construction or work activity. For example, in some embodiments the tool bag assembly may package, among other things, a level, a cutting tool, a compass, and a tool blade set, which together forms a tool kit.

The multiple compartments of the tool bag, along with the support members, allows for a more organized and secured storage of one or more hand tools and attachments. Moreover, by using a hand tool as a handle for the tool bag assembly, embodiments of the tool bag assembly may maximize the storage area of the tool bag assembly for storing hand tools and accessories or attachments of the hand tools rather than for providing space for elements dedicated primarily to the overall structure of the tool bag assembly. And in some embodiments of the tool bag assembly, the overall size of the tool bag assembly may be minimized or compacted by utilizing one of the hand tools as a handle for the tool bag assembly.

Many modifications and other embodiments of the invention set forth herein will come to mind to one skilled in the art to which this invention pertains having the benefit of the teachings presented in the foregoing descriptions and the associated drawings. Therefore, it is to be understood that the invention is not to be limited to the specific embodiments disclosed and that modifications and other embodiments are intended to be included within the scope of the appended claims. Although specific terms are employed herein, they are used in a generic and descriptive sense only and not for purposes of limitation.

Claims

1. A tool bag assembly comprising:

a bag defining at least a first compartment and including at least a first access flap and a second access flap, wherein the second access flap is defined within the first access flap, and each of the first and second access flaps has at least a first position for allowing access to at least a portion of an interior of the first compartment and a second position for closing the first compartment;
a frame including at least a first tool supportable within the bag in a substantially fixed position proximate the second assess flap such that at least a portion of the first tool is graspable when the second access flap is in the first position and is configured to be used as a handle of the tool bag assembly.

2. The tool bag assembly according to claim 1, wherein the frame includes a first support member and a second support member for supporting the first tool within the bag.

The tool bag assembly according to claim 2, wherein the bag includes a first partition and a second partition and further defines a second compartment and a third compartment, wherein the first partition separates the second compartment from the first compartment and the second partition separates the third compartment from the first compartment and the first tool extends from a first end to a second end and the first end extends through the first partition into the second compartment and the second end extends through the second partition into the third compartment.

4. The tool bag assembly according to claim 3, wherein the first support member is contained within the second compartment and the second support member is contained within the third compartment.

5. The tool bag assembly according to claim 4, wherein each of the first and second support members defines an aperture for receiving an end of the first tool and includes a lock for locking the end of the first tool relative to the support member.

6. The tool bag assembly according to claim 1 further including a second tool containable within the first compartment opposite the second access flap from the first tool in the substantially fixed position.

7. The tool bag assembly according to claim 6, wherein the bag defines a third compartment and the frame includes a first support member and a second support member for supporting the first tool within the bag, wherein the first support member is containable within the second compartment and the second support member is containable in the third compartment.

8. The tool bag assembly according to claim 7 further comprises at least a first attachment for the second tool and wherein the first support member is configured to support the at least first attachment for the second tool in a substantially fixed configuration within the second compartment.

9. The tool bag assembly according to claim 8 further comprising at least one of a second attachment for the second tool and a third tool containable within the third compartment.

10. The tool bag assembly according to claim 9, wherein the second support member is configured to support the at least one of a second attachment for the second tool and a third tool within the third compartment.

11. The tool bag assembly according to claim 10, wherein the second tool comprises a cutting tool and the at least first attachment comprises a blade for the cutting tool.

12. The tool bag assembly according to claim 1, wherein the first tool comprises a level.

13. A frame for a tool bag defining a cross-section, the frame comprising:

a first tool extending from a first end to a second end;
a first support member defining an outer perimeter corresponding substantially with the cross-section of the tool bag and a first aperture for receiving at least the first end of the first tool; and
a second support member defining an outer perimeter corresponding substantially with the cross-section of the tool bag and a second aperture for receiving at least the second end of the first tool.

14. The frame according to claim 13, wherein the first tool defines a first opening proximate the first end and a second opening proximate the second end and the first support member includes a lock configured to engage the first opening for holding the first end relative to the first support member and the second support member includes a lock configured to engage the second opening for holding the second end of the first tool relative to the second support member.

15. The frame according to claim 13, wherein the first support member defines a recessed portion for supporting one or more attachments of a second tool held within said tool bag.

16. The frame according to claim 13, wherein the first hand tool comprises a level.

17. The frame according to claim 16, wherein the level includes a narrowed center region.

18. A combination of the frame of claim 13 and a first tool attachment, wherein the first tool attachment includes a holder and a plurality of tool blades stackable within the holder and wherein the first support member defines a recessed portion adapted to receive at least a portion of the holder.

19. The combination according to claim 18, wherein the first tool attachment is substantially fixable within the recessed portion.

20. A tool bag for storing at least a first tool, a second tool, and one or more attachments for at least one of the first tool and the second tool, the tool bag comprising:

an outer covering extending from a first end to a second end and defining an interior, a first access flap, and a second access flap, wherein the second access flap is within the first access flap, and each of the first and second access flaps has at least a first position for allowing access to at least a portion of the interior and a second position for closing the interior;
a first partition positioned within the interior proximate the first end and defines a first aperture for receiving at least a first end of the first tool; and
a second partition positioned within the interior proximate the second end and defines a second aperture for receiving at least a second of the first tool;
wherein the outer covering and the first and second partitions define a first compartment between the first and second partitions configured to hold the second tool and at least a portion of the first tool.

21. The tool bag according to claim 20, wherein the outer covering and the first partition define a second compartment extending between the first end and the first partition, and wherein the outer covering and the second partition define a third compartment extending between the second end and the second partition.

22. A combination of the tool bag according to claim 21 and a frame, wherein the frame includes the first tool, a first support member, and a second support member and wherein the first support member is configured to fit within the second compartment and support at least the first end of the first tool and the second support member is configured to fit within the third compartment and support at least the second end of the first tool.

23. The combination according to claim 22, wherein the first tool defines a first opening proximate the first end and a second opening proximate the second end and the first support member includes a lock configured to engage the first opening for holding the first end relative to the first support member and the second support member includes a lock configured to engage the second opening for holding the second end of the first tool relative to the second support member.
