BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A conventional cabinet and drawer generally includes two types, one of which is fixed type by bolts and soldering processes, and the other type can be assembled by separated boards which are able to be assemble by users. Both of the two types of cabinet and drawer need several steps done in factories so as to made connection portions on different parts of the cabinet and the drawer. These steps increase manufacturing cost and once the cabinet and drawer are connected with each other, they occupy a lot of space which is not convenient for being packaged and transportation.

The present invention intends to provide a combination of cabinet and drawer wherein each of the cabinet and drawer are able to be assembled by separated boards without much specific skills.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to an office cabinet assembly which comprises a cabinet having a front frame, two side boards, a top board, a bottom board and a rear board. At least one drawer is engaged with the cabinet. Each of the two side boards has a first groove defined in an inside of a front end thereof so as to receive two sides of the front frame. Each of the two side boards has a second groove defined in an inside of a lower end thereof and a first ridge extends from a rear end of each of the two side boards.

The top board has four sidewalls which are mounted to a top of the front frame and two respective tops of the two side boards. An extension plate extends from the sidewall on the front end of the top board so as to define a recess in which the tube on the top end of the front frame is received. A second ridge extends from the sidewall on a rear end of the top board.

The bottom board has another extension plate extending from the sidewall on the front end thereof so as to define a recess in which the tube on the lower end of the front frame is received. A third ridge extends from the sidewall on a rear end of the bottom board. Two longitudinal bent portions are formed on two longitudinal sides of the bottom board and are engaged with the two second grooves of the two side boards. Each bent portion includes a receiving groove to receive a wall defining the second groove of the side board corresponding thereto. The rear board has four U-shaped members on four sidewalls thereof so as to respectively receive the two first ridges on the two side boards, the second ridge of the top board and the third ridge of the bottom board.

A drawer has a front plate, two side plates, a rear plate and a bottom plate. The front plate has two third grooves on two sides thereof and a fourth groove is defined in a lower end thereof. Each of the two side plates has a first hooking plate on a front end thereof and the two respective first hooking plates are engaged with the two third grooves of the front plate. Two second hooking plates are respectively connected to two respective rear ends of the two side plates and two third hooking plates are respectively connected to two respective lower ends of the two side plates. The rear plate has two fourth hooking plates so as to be hooked with the second hooking plates of the two side plates. A fifth hooking plate is connected to a lower end of the rear plate.
