Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a memory card box, particularly to a box structure for protecting memory cards.

2. Description of the Related Art

With the advance of science and technology, storage media, such as memory cards, have been extensively and massively used in many electronic products, such as digital cameras, mobile phones and PDA (Personal Digital Assistant). A memory card is usually small, slim and lightweight but has a great storage capacity. When a memory card is placed together with a sharp and hard object, the memory card is apt to be scratched or damaged. A memory card is also apt to be contaminated by dust or other dirt in the environment. In these cases, data may be unable to be written in or read from a memory card. Therefore, many dedicated boxes were developed to protect memory cards against damage or contamination.

A conventional memory card box usually has a top cover and a bottom cover, which can be closed together. The memory card box has an accommodation space thereinside for memory card storage. Many memory card boxes can only store a single memory card. If a user has more than one memory card, he has to use another box to store another memory card, which inconveniences the user. Further, the open/close mechanisms of some memory card boxes are not easy-to-operate, and users thus have to spend time on opening/closing these boxes.

Accordingly, the present invention proposes a fine-design and easy-to-operate memory card box to overcome the abovementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

One objective of the present invention is to provide a memory card box, which is easy to open and close, wherein two covers thereof can be locked together via a design having a press member, a hook element and a through-hole, and wherein two locked covers can be unlocked via pressing the press member.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a memory card box, which can store a plurality of memory cards.

Further another objective of the present invention is to provide a memory card box, which can protect memory cards against damage and contamination.

The present invention discloses a memory card box, which comprises a first cover and a second cover. The first cover has a press element, and a hook element extending out from said press member. The second cover is joined to the first cover at one side and has a through-hole at the other side, and the through-hole is at a position corresponding to the press member and the hook element of the first cover. When the hook element is pushed through the through-hole and locked at one side of the through-hole, the press member is locked at the other side of the through-hole, and the first and second covers are thus locked together. The locked first and second covers can be unlocked via pressing the press member.

Further, a plurality of fixing elements are formed on the inner surfaces of both the first and second covers, and the fixing elements are arranged according to the shape of a memory card and used to fix the memory card thereinside.

Below, the embodiments are described in detail in cooperation with the attached drawings to make easily understood the objectives, technical contents, characteristics and accomplishments of the present invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a diagram schematically showing an appearance of a memory card box according to the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a diagram schematically showing another appearance of a memory card box according to the present invention;

FIG. 3 is a diagram schematically showing the interior structure of a memory card box according to the present invention;

FIG. 4 is a diagram schematically showing the operation of closing a memory card box according to the present invention; and

FIG. 5 is a diagram schematically showing the operation of opening a memory card box according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Refer to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 diagrams schematically showing the appearances of a memory card box according to the present invention. The present invention proposes a memory card box 10 comprising a first cover 12 and a second cover 14, which are fabricated into a one-piece part. At one side, the first cover 12 is joined to the second cover 14; at the other side, there is an opening of the first and second covers 12 and 14. The first cover 12 has a press member 16, and the press member 16 extends upward to form a hook element 18. The second cover 14 has a through-hole 20 arranged at a position corresponding to the press member 16 and the hook element 18. Thus, the hook element 16 can be pressed through and locked at the through-hole 20. Refer to FIG. 3 a diagram schematically showing the interior structure of a memory card box according to the present invention. The through-hole 20 of the second cover 14 is an empty rectangle. A plurality of fixing elements 22 are formed on the inner surfaces of both the first and second covers 12 and 14. The fixing elements 22 are arranged according to the shape of a memory card 24. Thus, the memory card 24 can be fixed inside the fixing elements 22. It is to be noted that the first cover 12, the second cover 14 and the fixing elements 22 are made of a plastic and fabricated into a one-piece part.

Refer to FIG. 4 a diagram schematically showing the operation of closing a memory card box according to the present invention. A user can push the hook element 18 through the through-hole 20 with a slight force, and the hook element 18 is thus locked at one side of the through-hole 20, and the press member 16 is locked at the other side of the through-hole 20. Then, that the first cover 12 and the second cover 14 are closed together, as shown in FIG. 2 a diagram schematically showing the appearance of a closed memory card box according to the present invention.

Refer to FIG. 5 a diagram schematically showing the operation of opening a memory card box according to the present invention. A user can press the press member 16 of the first cover 12 to make the second cover 14 move away from the first cover 12. Thus, the hook element 18 goes out of the through-hole 20, and the memory card box is opened.

The size of the memory card may be enlarged to contain more memory cards. For example, two sets of fixing elements can be formed on the inner surface of the first cover, and two sets of fixing elements are also correspondingly formed on the inner surface of the second cover. Therefore, the present invention can satisfy requirements of different users via various sizes of memory card boxes and corresponding arrangements of fixing elements.

In conclusion, the present invention proposes a memory card box to protect memory cards against damage and contamination, wherein a design of a press member, a hook element and a corresponding through-hole can make a memory card box easy to close and open. Further, one memory card box of the present invention can contain several memory cards. Therefore, it is unnecessary to prepare for several memory cards the same number of memory card boxes.

Those embodiments described above are to exemplify the present invention to enable the persons skilled in the art to understand, make and use the present invention. However, it is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. Any equivalent modification or variation according to the spirit of the present invention is to be also included within the scope of the present invention.
