Umbrella of multi layer surface

Umbrella, simply, is a foldable means used for protection from rain and/or sun intensive wind currents usually makes the umbrella rather difficult to be hold and can lead to a serious damage for its components. Creating gaps or holes through the umbrellas surface can reduce or minimize the bad effects of the wind against the umbrella while it still capable to protect things against rain and sun. The present invention relates to a “multi-layer surface umbrella”, which is an umbrella with a surface consists of several fabric layers with a gap in between each adjacent pair of layers to allow wind currents to pass through the surface easily leading to high degree of stability against blowing wind.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a “multi-layer surface umbrella”, which is an umbrella with a new designed surface consisting of several fabric layers with a gap in between each adjacent pair of layers to allow wind currents to pass through the surface easily leading to high degree of stability against blowing wind.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is an umbrella provided with a multi layer surface, which consists of a number (several) fabric layers of different levels, with a designed horizontal overlap between each pair of adjacent layers while they are parted from each other vertically. The multi-layer surface is fixed on a number of ribs, each rib consists of a bundle of flexible ribs (main rib & secondary ribs). The rib (the bundle of ribs) is capable to change its form from straight (in close mode) to curved units (in open mode), the degree of curvature of the ribs is completely controlled by the pattern of the fabric cover.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a front view showing the “Multi-layer surface” which consists of three fabric layers of different levels with gaps in between each two adjacent layers, the main post and the handle.

FIG. 2 shows two 3D views.

FIG. 3 is a longitudinal section in the umbrella in an open mode showing the ribs (the bundles), the main post, open/close mechanism and the handle.

FIG. 4 is a longitudinal section in the umbrella showing the ribs (in closed in closed mode) which consist of the main rib+the secondary ribs.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Umbrella, simply, is a foldable means used for protection from rain and/or sun, this useful means could be badly affected by intensive wind currents which is able to make the umbrella rather difficult to be hold due to the uplift wind force, and also can lead to a serious damage for its components.

In order to get rid of the wind bad effects against the umbrella, it has been provided with a new designed surface which consists of several fabric layers, each two adjacent layers are horizontally overlapped each other with a designed gap parted them vertically, these gaps through the umbrellas surface can reduce or minimize the bad effects of the wind against the umbrella allowing wind currents to pass through the umbrellas surface easily leading to high degree of stability against blowing wind, while the umbrella still capable to protect things against rain and sun.

The “Multi-layer surface umbrella” provided with a multi layer surface, as we can see in FIG. (1), The fabric surface consists of a several layers of different levels, with a designed horizontal overlap between each pair of adjacent layers while they are parted from each other vertically.

The multi-layer surface is fixed on a number of ribs as in FIG. (3), each rib consists of a bundle of flexible ribs (main rib & secondary ribs), The rib (the bundle of ribs) is capable to change its form from straight (in close mode) as in FIG. (4) to curved units (in open mode) as in FIG. (3), the degree of curvature of the ribs is completely controlled by the pattern of the fabric cover.

The over lapped area of the adjacent layers are well designed so that it prevents any possibility for rain to pass through while it is wide enough to let wind to pass through easily offering the umbrella a great deal of stability against blowing wind.

Claims

1. It is an umbrella with a surface consists of several fabric layers with a gap in between each pair of layers to allow wind currents to pass through the surface easily leading to great deal of stability for the umbrella against blowing wind.

2. The multi-layer surface fixed on several flexible ribs, each one of these ribs consists of a bundle of branches (main branch along with a number of secondary branches).
