FITNESS RING

The present invention is a fitness ring having a loop capsule, which has a circular aeration space inside. The ring has an outside circular surface and a central through-portion. The sectional diameter of the circular aeration space is larger than the diameter of the through-portion. The circular aeration space contains a payload inside, and a predetermined area of the circular surface has projecting portions spaced at intervals. The addition of the payload gives the loop capsule proper weight and stability, and the fitness ring is more stable and safe while lying flat. The weight of the payload can allow users to experience more resistance and gravity when swinging, rolling, and moving the fitness ball ring. The addition of projecting portions can form massage areas, so that when using the fitness ring, users can also achieve the benefit of massage.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to a fitness ball, and more particularly to a type of fitness ball with a ring structure.

2. Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 37 CFR 1.98

The conventional fitness ball has a ball-shape and is easy to roll; thus, users are likely to fall when they lean on the ball. As such, it is not suitable for beginners and those with a poor sense of balance.

The inventor of the present invention invented an improved fitness ball, disclosed in Taiwan Patent Application No. 095205718, entitled “Structure of Hoop Fitness Ball”, which comprises a loop capsule, which has a circular aeration space inside. The outside of the loop capsule has a circular surface and a central through-portion. The sectional diameter of the circular aeration space is greater than that of the central through-portion. Therefore, this improved design can provide stable support and safety in use, while maintaining the hoop shape for flexible movement.

Thus, to overcome the aforementioned problems of the prior art, it would be an advancement in the art to provide an improved structure that can significantly improve efficacy.

To this end, the inventor has provided the present invention of practicability after deliberate design and evaluation based on years of experience in the production, development and design of related products.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The enhanced efficacy of the present invention includes the present invention with a payload 20 placed inside the circular aeration space 12. The addition of the payload 20 gives the loop capsule 11 proper weight and stability, and the fitness ring 10 can be more stable and safe while lying flat. The weight of the payload can allow users to experience more resistance and gravity when swinging, rolling, and moving the fitness ring, thus, helping to exercise muscles.

The addition of projecting portions 30 on the circular surface 13 of the loop capsule 11 are spaced at intervals for massage purposes. When using the fitness ring 10, users can also achieve the benefit of massaging the body.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The features and the advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood upon a thoughtful deliberation of the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the preferred embodiment of the improved structure of the fitness ring is provided to detail the present invention. The scope of the patent is set by the claims. The fitness ring 10 comprises a loop capsule 11, which can be made of plastic or air-tight leather material. The inside of the loop capsule 11 has a circular aeration space 12, and the predetermined position of the circular aeration space 12 can have a nozzle (not shown in the figure) which can be used for inflow or discharge of air. The outside of the loop capsule 11 has a circular surface 13 and a central through-portion 14, and the sectional diameter L1 of the circular aeration space 12 is larger than the sectional diameter L2 of the central through-portion 14. The inside of the circular aeration space 12 has a payload 20. The predetermined area of the circular surface 13 has projecting portions 30, spaced at intervals.

The payload 20 can be sand, metal sand, steel balls, plastic pellets, plastic hollow balls, scraps of paper, liquid, or other powder substances. The payload 20 shown in FIG. 1 is fine powder; the payload 20B shown in FIG. 3 is larger pellets or ball-shaped substances; and the payload 20C shown in FIG. 4 is liquid.

The projecting portion 30 can be hollow or solid with protruding edges on the circular surface 13.

The projecting portion 30 can be entirely or partially placed on the top and bottom of the circular surface 13, or entirely or partially placed on either the top or bottom of the circular surface 13. As shown in FIG. 1, the top of the circular surface 13 has a projecting portion 30 on one side. As shown in FIG. 5, both sides of the top of the circular surface 13 have projecting portions 30. As shown in FIG. 6, both sides of the top and bottom of the circular surface 13 have projecting portions 30.

The fitness ring 10 can be larger in size for users to sit on (as shown in FIG. 7) or smaller in size for users to hold with hands, as shown in FIG. 9 as ring 20B.

The projecting portion 30 on the circular surface 13 can be spaced at intervals as shown in FIG. 1 or can be segmented at intervals, as the projecting portion 30B shown in FIG. 10.

Based on the abovementioned structure, the operation of the fitness ring 10 disclosed in the present invention is detailed in the previous patent by the same inventor. In general, the present invention allows users to sit on or lean against the fitness ring for hands or feet stretching. The present invention adds a payload 20, so that the loop capsule has proper weight and stability, and the fitness ring can be more stable and safe while lying flat. The weight of the payload can allow users to experience more resistance and gravity when swinging, rolling, and moving the fitness ring, thus, helping to exercise muscles. The addition of projecting portions 30 on the circular surface 13 are protruding and spaced at intervasl for massage purposes. When using the hoop fitness ball 10, users can also achieve the benefit of massaging the body, as shown in FIG. 8. When users lie on the circular surface 13, the projecting portions 30 can have a massaging effect.

Claims

1. A fitness ring, comprising:

a loop capsule, having a circular aeration space therein;
a circular surface on an outside of said loop capsule; and
a central through-portion, having a cross-sectional diameter smaller than a cross-sectional diameter of said circular aeration space, said circular aeration space containing a payload the therein, said circular surface having a predetermined area thereof with a plurality of projecting portions spaced at intervals.

2. The fitness ring defined in claim 1, wherein said payload is comprised of at least one filling, said filling being selected from a group consisting of: sand, metal sand, steel ball, plastic pellets, plastic hollow balls, scraps of paper, and liquid.

3. The fitness ring defined in claim 1, wherein said projecting portion are engaged with a protruding edge on said circular surface.

4. The fitness ring defined in claim 1, wherein said projecting portion are placed on a top and bottom of said circular surface or placed on either the top or bottom of said circular surface.

5. The fitness ring defined in claim 1, wherein said loop capsule has a variable size.

6. A fitness ring, comprising:

a loop capsule, having a circular aeration space therein;
a circular surface on an outside of said loop capsule; and
a central through-portion, having a cross-sectional diameter smaller than a cross-sectional diameter of said circular aeration space, said circular aeration space containing a payload therein.

7. The fitness ring defined in claim 6, wherein said payload is comprised of at least one filling, said filling being selected from a group consisting of: sand, metal sand, steel ball, plastic pellets, plastic hollow balls, scraps of paper, and liquid.

8. The fitness ring defined in claim 6, wherein said loop capsule has a variable size.

9. A fitness ring, comprising:

a loop capsule, having a circular aeration space therein;
a circular surface on an outside of said loop capsule; and
a central through-portion, having a cross-sectional diameter smaller than a cross-sectional diameter of said circular aeration space, said circular surface having a predetermined area thereof with a plurality of projecting portions spaced at intervals.

10. The fitness ring defined in claim 9, wherein said projecting portion are engaged with a protruding edge on said circular surface.

11. The fitness ring defined in claim 9, wherein said projecting portions are placed on a top and bottom of said circular surface or placed on either the top or bottom of said circular surface.

12. The fitness ring defined in claim 9, wherein said loop capsule has a variable size.
