OUTSOLE WITH AN EMBEDDED FABRIC LAYER

An outsole with an embedded fabric layer has a fabric layer and an outsole. The fabric layer has a top surface and a bottom surface. The outsole has a bottom surface and multiple non-slip protrusions. The bottom surface of the outsole is attached to the top surface of the fabric layer. The non-slip protrusions are formed integrally on the bottom surface of the outsole, extend through the fabric layer and protrude out from the bottom surface of the fabric layer. With the non-slip protrusions, the outsole can provide excellent anti-slip effect and aesthetically pleasing decoration. Additionally, import tariffs on the outsole may be lowered because the shoe is a composite material.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The present invention relates to an outsole, and more particularly to an outsole with an embedded fabric layer.

2. Description of the Related Art

A conventional outsole is formed using plastics and rubbers. However, the conventional outsole may be slippery for lack of non-slip structures on the bottom surface of the conventional outsole.

Additionally, because the conventional outsole is made of plastic materials, some countries may charge larger tariffs on the conventional outsole than other outsoles comprising different materials including a cloth cover.

To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention provides an outsole with an embedded fabric layer to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an outsole with an embedded fabric layer that can form multiple non-slip protrusions on the fabric layer.

The outsole with an embedded fabric layer in accordance with the present invention comprises a fabric layer and an outsole. The fabric layer has a top surface and a bottom surface. The outsole has a bottom surface and multiple non-slip protrusions. The bottom surface of the outsole is attached to the top surface of the fabric layer. The non-slip protrusions are formed integrally on the bottom surface of the outsole, extend through the fabric layer and protrude out from the bottom surface of the fabric layer. With the non-slip protrusions, the outsole can provide excellent anti-slip effect and aesthetically pleasing decoration. Additionally, import tariffs on the outsole may be lowered because the shoe is a composite material.

Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference to FIGS. 1, 2, 3 and 4, an outsole with an embedded fabric layer in accordance with the present invention comprises a fabric layer (20, 20A) and an outsole (10, 10A).

The fabric layer (20, 20A) is porous, allows melted plastic materials to pass through and has a top surface, a bottom surface, multiple ribbed protrusions and multiple ribbed recesses. The ribbed protrusions are formed parallelly on the bottom surface of the fabric layer (20) and may be straight lines or wavy lines. The ribbed recesses are defined in the top surface of the fabric layer (20) and correspond respectively to the ribbed protrusions.

The outsole (10, 10A) is plastic and has a bottom surface, an optional heel (11), multiple ribbed protrusions and multiple non-slip protrusions (12, 12A).

The bottom surface of the outsole (10, 10A) is attached to the top surface of the fabric layer (20, 20A).

The heel (11) is formed on and protrudes from the bottom surface of the outsole (10).

The ribbed protrusions are formed on the bottom surface of the outsole (10), correspond respectively and are mounted in the ribbed recesses of the fabric layer (20). The ribbed protrusions may form a pattern of a trademark or a design and are not limited.

The non-slip protrusions (12, 12A) are formed integrally on and protrude from the bottom surface of the outsole (10, 10A), extend through the fabric layer (20, 20A) and protrude out from the bottom surface of the fabric layer (20, 20A). Each non-slip (12, 12A) protrusion may be a wary line or a straight line. The non-slip protrusions (12) protrude further than the ribbed protrusions of the fabric layer (20). The non-slip protrusions (12, 12A) may form a pattern of a trademark or a design and are not limited.

When the outsole (10, 10A) is manufactured, the fabric layer (20, 20A) is disposed and secured in a mold. Then a molten plastic is added to the mold to form the outsole (10, 10A) and is pressed through the fabric layer (20, 20A) to form the non-slip protrusions (12, 12A). Therefore, the fabric layer (20, 20A) is embedded in the outsole (12, 12A) and the non-slip protrusions (20, 20A) are formed on the bottom surface of the fabric layer (20, 20A).

With the non-slip protrusions (12, 12A), the outsole can provide excellent anti-slip effect as well as aesthetically pleasing and unique decoration. Additionally, a tariff on the outsole with the embedded fabric layer (20, 20A) may be lowered because the outsole is a composite material.

Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only. Changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.

Claims

1. An outsole comprising

a fabric layer having a top surface; and a bottom surface; and
an outsole having a bottom surface being attached to the top surface of the fabric layer; and multiple non-slip protrusions being formed integrally on the bottom surface of the outsole, extending through the fabric layer and protruding out from the bottom surface of the fabric layer.

2. The outsole with an embedded fabric layer as claimed in claim 1, wherein

the fabric layer further has multiple ribbed protrusions being formed on the bottom surface of the fabric layer; and multiple ribbed recesses being defined in the top surface of the fabric layer and corresponding respectively to the ribbed protrusions; and
the outsole further has multiple ribbed protrusions formed on the bottom surface of the outsole, corresponding respectively to and being mounted in the ribbed recesses of the fabric layer.

3. The outsole with an embedded fabric layer as claimed in claim 2, wherein each non-slip protrusion is a wary line protruding further than the ribbed protrusions.

4. The outsole with an embedded fabric layer as claimed in claim 3, wherein the outsole further has a heel formed on and protruding out from the bottom surface of the outsole.

5. The outsole with an embedded fabric layer as claimed in claim 2, wherein each non-slip protrusion is a straight line.

6. The outsole with an embedded fabric layer as claimed in claim 5, wherein the outsole further has a heel formed on and protruding out from the bottom surface of the outsole.

7. The outsole with an embedded fabric layer as claimed in claim 1, wherein each non-slip protrusion is a wary line.

8. The outsole with an embedded fabric layer as claimed in claim 1, wherein each non-slip protrusion is a straight line.

9. The outsole with an embedded fabric layer as claimed in claim 1, wherein the outsole further has a heel formed on and protruding out from the bottom surface of the outsole.

10. The outsole with an embedded fabric layer as claimed in claim 1, wherein the non-slip protrusions form a pattern of a trademark.
