FASTENING DEVICE FOR FASTENING OBJECT

A fastening device includes a base, a cover partially covered on the base to define an accommodation space therebetween and two openings in communication between the accommodation space and the space outside the cover, a cord running over four corners of the cover and defining two tying sections respectively corresponding to the openings, and a cord fastener engaged with any two positions of the cord. Thus, an object can be fixed in the accommodation space through the tying sections of the cord.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to a fastening device, and more specifically to a fastening device that can securely fasten an object thereto.

2. Description of the Related Art

A conventional bag, such as a backpack or purse, generally has an accommodation space inside for accommodation of personal things and a plurality of rings or holes on an outer surface thereof for holding bar-shaped objects, such as pens, stationery, or umbrellas.

However, when a user walks and carries the bag, the bar-shaped objects may easily drop from the rings or holes of the bag because of sudden vibration. Thus, the rings or holes of the bag are ineffective to fasten the bar-shaped objects.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been accomplished in view of the above-noted circumstances. It is one objective of the present invention to provide a fastening device, which is effective to fasten objects thereto.

To achieve this objective of the present invention, the fastening device provided by the present invention comprises a base, a cover, a cord and a cord fastener. The cover is partially covered on the base to define an accommodation space therebetween and two openings in communication between the accommodation space and the space outside the cover. The cord runs over four corners of the cover and defines two tying sections respectively adjacent to and substantially parallel to the openings. The cord fastener can be firmly engaged with any two positions of the cord to determine the degreed of tightness of the cord or can be operated to be movable on the cord.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the cover includes a covering piece partially covered on the base to define the aforesaid accommodation space, and four loops mounted on four corners of the covering piece for penetration of the cord. Besides, the cord fastener is controllable by an external force to act between a locking status where the cord fastener is firmly engaged on any two positions of the cord and a releasing status where the cord fastener is movable on the cord.

In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the fastening device further comprises a belt disposed in the accommodation space and has two ends thereof respectively extending through the openings and being connected with the base such that a piercing space is formed between the belt and the base for penetration of the cord.

Further scope of applicability of the present invention will become apparent from the detailed description given hereinafter. However, it should be understood that the detailed description and specific examples, while indicating preferred embodiments of the invention, are given by way of illustration only, since various changes and modifications within the spirit and scope of the invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art from this detailed description.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIG. 1, a fastening device 100 in accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention comprises a base 10, a cover 20, a cord 30 and a cord fastener 40.

The base 10 has a predetermined area and can be a surface of a bag, a backpack, a purse or other flexible objects.

The cover 20 is provided with a covering piece 21 made of flexible fabrics and four loops 22 mounted on four corners of the covering piece 21. The covering piece 21 has two opposite long sides stitched on the base 10 to define an accommodation space 211 and two openings 212, as shown in FIG. 4. The two openings 212 are respectively formed on two opposite short sides of the covering piece 21 such that the two openings 212 are in communication between the accommodation space 211 and the space outside the covering piece 21

The cord 30 is elastic, penetrating through the loops 22 of the cover 20 to form two tying sections 31 respectively corresponding to and substantially paralleling the openings 212, and an intersecting section 32 between the tying sections 31.

Two ends of the cord 30 pass through the cord fastener 40 and then are tied together. The cord fastener 40 can be controllable by an external force to act between a locking status where the cord fastener 40 is firmly engaged and clamped on any two positions of the cord 30 and a releasing status where the cord fastener 40 is movable on the cord 30, such that the degree of tightness of the cord 30 can be decided by the clamped position of the cord fastener 40 on the cord 30.

Referring to FIG. 2, a plurality of pens 1 are put in the accommodation space 211 through the opening 212, and then clipped on the covering piece 21 through clips 2 of the pens 1 for enabling the tying section 31 of the cord 30 to force the pens 1 to closely contact with the covering piece 21, thereby effectively preventing the pens 1 from sliding or dropping from the covering piece 21.

Referring to FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, when a bar 3 passes through the accommodation space 211 and the openings 212, the tying sections 31 of the cord 30 can be twisted and then sleeved around two ends of the bar 3 so as to securely fasten the bar 3 in the accommodation space 211.

Referring to FIG. 5, when a user would like to fasten a glove 4 or the like on the fastening device 100, the glove 4 can be placed on the covering piece 21 with parts thereof penetrating through the spaces between the tying sections 31 of the cord 30 and the covering piece 21 and/or through the space between intersecting section 32 and the covering piece 21 such that the glove 4 can be firmly held and compressed by the tying sections 31 and/or the intersecting section 32 of the cord 30.

Further, as shown in FIG. 6, the covering piece 21 of the cover 20 may have an adhesive surface 5, for example a loop member of a hook and loop fastener, for adhesion of an object.

Referring to FIG. 7, a fastening device 200 in accordance with a second embodiment of the present invention comprises a base 50, a cover 60, a cord 70, a cord fastener 80 and a belt 90. The belt 90 is made of flexible fabrics and mounted in the accommodation space 611 with two ends thereof respectively passing through the openings 612 and being stitched on the base 50 such that the accommodation space 611 is separated by the belt 90 to form a piercing space 91 between the belt 90 and the base 50.

When the cord 70 penetrates through the loops 62 of the cover 60, the tying sections 71 of the cord 70 will be wrapped around the belt 90 such that the tying sections 71 of the cord 70 are still corresponding to the openings 612.

Referring to FIG. 8 to FIG. 9, when a user wants to fasten a bar 6 or the like on the fastening device 200 of this embodiment, the bar 6 can be set in the accommodation space 611 with two ends thereof extending out of the openings 612 in such a way that the two ends of the bar 6 can respectively pass through the spaces between the tying sections 71 and the belt 90 and be firmly held and compressed by the tying sections 71 of the cord 70. Because the tying sections 71 of the cord 70 are wrapped around the belt 90 in advance, the two ends of the bar 6 can be easily set through and held by the tying sections 71 of the cord 70.

Referring to FIG. 10, the belt 90 of the fastening device 200 of this embodiment is provided with a rough non-slip surface 7 for preventing an object received in the accommodation space 611 and placed on the belt 90 from sliding.

The invention being thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.

Claims

1. A fastening device comprising:

a base;
a cover partially covered on the base to define an accommodation space therebetween and two openings in communication between the accommodation space and the space outside the cover;
a cord running over four corners of the cover and defining two tying sections respectively corresponding to the openings; and
a cord fastener engaged with any two positions of the cord.

2. The fastening device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the base is formed of a flexible object.

3. The fastening device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cover includes a covering piece partially covered on the base to define said accommodation space, and four loops mounted on four corners of the covering piece for penetration of the cord.

4. The fastening device as claimed in claim 3, wherein the covering piece is made of flexible fabrics with two opposite sides stitched on the base.

5. The fastening device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cord is elastic.

6. The fastening device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the two tying sections of the cord are substantially parallel to the two openings respectively.

7. The fastening device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cord fastener is controllable by an external force to act between a locking status where the cord fastener is firmly engaged on any two positions of the cord and a releasing status where the cord fastener is movable on the cord.

8. The fastening device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cover has an adhesive surface for adhesion of an object.

9. The fastening device as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a belt disposed in the accommodation space and having two ends respectively extending through the openings and being connected with the base such that a piercing space is formed between the belt and the base for penetration of the cord.

10. The fastening device as claimed in claim 9, the belt has a rough non-slip surface.
