Abstract

An inventive bed linen in the form of a (large) duvet cover 1a, a (small) pillow case 2a and a cover for a neck roll 3a each have functional base elements 1b, 2b, 3b with openings for inserting a duvet or a pillow. For personalization, removable decorative fabrics 1c, 2c or 3c are arranged by means of fastening means, for instance, a hook-and-loop fastener, both on the duvet cover 1a, the pillow case 2a and the neck roll cover 3a. To facilitate careful washing of the pillow case and duvet cover, the decorative fabrics 1c, 2c, 3c are detachably arranged at the functional elements 1b, 2b or 3b. In this way, the base elements 1b, 2b, 3b can be cleaned under conditions different from those of more delicate fabrics 1c, 2c, 3c which are usually made from another material.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The invention relates to a textile, especially a household, home or furnishing fabric, such as bedding, curtains and the like, comprising a first textile element. In addition, the invention relates to a combination of such a textile with a second element arranged at the textile. Furthermore, the invention relates to an item of clothing or accessory comprising a first functional element. The invention also relates to a piece of furniture or furnishing comprising a first functional element.

2. Description of the Prior Art

For the purpose of creating a personalized living ambience, household and home textiles, such as curtains, tablecloths, napkins, are chosen according to taste. Particular emphasis is placed also on the appearance of household textiles, such as bed linen and table linen, tablecloths and kitchen towels, blankets and sleeping blankets, and hand towels. Textile products are now increasingly available as sets of matching colours and patterns.

The choice of materials is restricted, however, by the different functionality of the textiles and by the fact that desired high-quality textiles fail to satisfy the (various) functional requirements. A particular problem is presented by the materials' resilience when the textiles are being used, cleaned or washed.

For clothing, shoes, boots, and accessories such as bags, a compromise often has to be struck between the desired material and thus the external appearance and practical aspects, such as cleaning or washing of the object.

Similar considerations apply to furniture and furnishings, whose appearance derives in part from their functionality and a decision of the desired appearance has to be made at the time of purchase. For example, choosing furniture fabrics, furniture covers (antimacassars), textile floor coverings, wall coverings, roller blinds, sliding curtains, etc. can be difficult because of the stamp they put on the furnished interior room in the long term.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Object of the Invention

Proceeding therefrom, the object of the present invention is to provide a textile, an item of clothing or accessory, and a piece of furniture or a furnishing whose external appearance can be adjusted to personal tastes, while providing the necessary functionality.

Technical Solution

This object is achieved by providing a textile in accordance with claim 1, a combination of that textile with a second element in accordance with claim 3, an item of clothing or accessory in accordance with claim 7, a combination of an item of clothing or accessory with a second element in accordance with claim 9, a piece of furniture or a furnishing in accordance with claim 13, and a combination of a piece of furniture or furnishing with a second element in accordance with claim 15.

The textile, especially a household, home or furnishing fabric, such as bedding, curtains, and the like, comprises a first textile element and, arranged at the first textile element, fastening means for fastening a second element to the first textile element.

Any kind of textile can be used in connection with the invention, such as bed linen, a blanket case, a pillow case, curtains, shower curtains, draperies, furniture fabrics, table linen (e.g. tablecloths, napkins, place settings), drying cloths and kitchen towels, a blanket or sleeping blanket, other blankets of all kinds, a towel, and the like. Especially, the first textile element is an element of cloth, fabric or similar that must satisfy specific functional requirements. Accordingly, the element must withstand certain loads and be cleaned under certain specified conditions.

The object is also achieved by a combination of the above-mentioned textile and a second element arranged at the textile, wherein the second element is fastened to the first textile element by means of the fastening means, such that it can be detached and/or removed.

In addition, the object is achieved by an item of clothing or accessory, comprising a first functional element and, arranged at the first functional element, fastening means for fastening a second element to the first element.

By items of clothing and accessories is especially meant jackets, pullovers, T-shirts, trousers, scarves, swimsuits, caps, gloves, bathrobes, belts, bags, etc. as well as footwear such as shoes, slippers, boots.

An inventive combination consists at least of an item of clothing or accessory as described and, arranged at the item of clothing or accessory, a second element, wherein the second element is detachably and/or removably fastened to the item of clothing or accessory by means of the fastening means.

The object is also achieved by a piece of furniture or a furnishing comprising a first functional element and, arranged at the first functional element, fastening means for fastening a second element to the first element.

The invention can be used in connection with all conceivable furniture and furnishings, especially textile ones or ones covered with textiles. Examples are lamps, louver curtains, room dividers, roller blinds, picture frames, wall hangings, stools, chests, seating, antimacassars, seating covers and cases, textile cabinets.

Anther combination according to the invention consists at least of a piece of furniture or furnishing as described and, arranged at the piece of furniture or furnishing, a second element, wherein the second element is detachably and/or removably fastened to the piece of furniture or furnishing by fastening means.

In all of the described inventive embodiments, the fastening means may be a hook-and-loop fastener, buttons, buttonholes, comprise a zipper, a fastening ribbon etc.

The second element can have a decorative element and/or a functional element. The second element used in all embodiments is especially a second textile element, e.g. a decorative material. The second textile is especially made from a different, higher-quality and/or delicate material. However, the second element may also be made from other materials and/or comprise a functional element, such as a clock, an LED monitor, a piece of jewellery, a mirror, a light, a pocket, etc. The second element can be removed from the first (especially functional) element, for example, for the purpose of cleaning or washing the first and/or second element. For example, a high-quality, removable and personalized, exchangeable decorative fabric can be attached to curtains, bed linen and hand towels.

The second element may particularly have further fastening means for fastening at least one further decorative element and/or functional element. For example, a functional element can be optionally attached to a decorative element.

The second element preferably has complementary fastening means for fastening the second element to the first textile element. Candidate fastening means in this embodiment can again be all known detachable fastening means, such as hook-and-loop fasteners, buttons, buttonholes, zippers. The second element has complementary fastening means for connecting with the fastening means arranged at the first element.

DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of an inventive bed linen in the form of a (large) duvet cover 1a, a (small) pillow case 2a and a case 3a for a neck roll. The functional basic elements 1b, 2b, 3b of cases 1a, 2a, 3a have, as known, openings for inserting a duvet or a pillow. For personalization, removable decorative fabrics 1c, 2c or 3c are arranged by means of fastening means, for instance, a hook-and-loop fastener, both on the duvet cover 1a, the pillow case 2a and the neck roll cover 3a. To facilitate, for example, careful washing of the pillow case and duvet cover, the decorative fabrics 1c, 2c, 3c are detachably arranged at the functional elements 1b, 2b or 3b. In this way, the base elements 1b, 2b, 3b can be cleaned under conditions different from those of more delicate fabrics 1c, 2c, 3c which are usually made from another material.

FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of an inventive curtain or shower curtain 4a. By virtue of the detachable fastening of a removable decorative material 4c at functional element 4b, which can be suspended on a pole via loops 4d, the base element 4b can be given a different appearance on one hand by replacing the decorative material 4c. On the other hand, the decorative material 4c can be removed from a shower curtain 4a before the shower is used.

FIG. 3 shows an embodiment of inventive towels 5a. The removable element 5c, e.g., a decorative textile element in the form of a sash along the length or breadth of the base element 5b, can be detachably attached to the towel base element 5b, which performs the drying function and therefore has a much larger surface area than the decorative element 5c. The decorative fabric 5c can also be arranged in a corner of the hand towel 5a. The decorative fabric 5c can have colours, logos, images, patterns, etc, specifically for hotels, for example. Moreover, instead of the decorative fabric 5c, a detachable second element made from any other material, such as plastic, can be used. In this way, each towel 5a can be personalized, with the removable element 5c and, for the purpose of washing, the base element 5b capable of being removed. In addition, standard hand towel base elements 5b can be offered with fastening means, which can be personalized with a specific decorative element 5c.

FIG. 4 shows an embodiment of an inventive bag 6a. It has a handle 6d and a container 6e. A decorative fabric or decorative element is arranged at the visible exterior 6b of the container 6e of the bag 6a by means of fastening means 6c for detachably fastening a second element. Since, in accordance with the invention, the second element is removable, the appearance of the bag 6a can be personalized to suit the user.

FIG. 5 shows various inventive embodiments of boots 7a and an inventive shoe and slippers 7a, to the exterior 7b of which a decorative fabric part 7c or a different material is detachably and removably or exchangeably fastened. In addition or by way of alternative to the decorative fabric 7c, a functional element or accessory, such as a clock 7d, may be removably arranged at the exterior 7b of the shoe 7a or boot 7a.

FIG. 6 shows an item of clothing, namely a coat or bathrobe 8a in front and rear views. Arranged on the exterior 8b of the functional part of the coat 8a, which can be made from standard, rugged and easily washable material, is a two-dimensional decorative element 8c, whose shape can be essentially adapted to the exterior 8b of the coat 8a. Although the removable and interchangeable decorative element 8c is primarily intended to determine the appearance of the bathrobe 8a, it may also have functional parts, such as pockets.

FIG. 7 shows jackets 9a in two different embodiments. Removable elements 9c are arranged at the exterior 9b or in the region of the cuffs 9d of the jackets 9a. In the first embodiment of the jacket 9a, for example, cuffs 9c can be provided as removable elements, which are arranged at the jacket by means of detachable fastening means. A clock 9e or other accessory may additionally be permanently or detachably fastened to a removable cuff 9c, for example, via further fastening means arranged at element 9c.

The cuffs 9c can also be worn functionally as a wristwatch strap without the jacket, with a detachable or permanently arranged clock 9e, or be worn as an accessory. Apart from a clock 9e, other functional elements or decorative elements, such as LED monitors and the like can be arranged.

In the second embodiment example, the rear exterior 9b of the jacket 9a is fitted with a removable element 9c, which consists of a non-washable material or a material to be treated in a manner different from the base element of the jacket 9a.

Of course, both embodiment forms of the jacket can be combined.

FIG. 8 shows further items of clothing, including a pair of trousers 10a, with a second two-dimensional, especially textile, element 10c. This is arranged detachably and removably at the exterior 10b of the trousers 10a and can in turn be fitted with an accessory 10d or a functional element (such as a clock).

The base 11b of a belt 11a can, for example, be fitted with a removable element 11c, at which is arranged an LED monitor with changing pictures. The element 11c can, for example, hide the belt buckle.

Of course, the second elements (decorative elements and/or functional elements) can be removably arranged in different variants at all kinds of garments, such as T-shirts/pullovers, scarves, or, as shown in FIG. 9, on the exterior 12b, 13b of a cap 12a or of a glove 13a. The removable material, which usually consists of a fabric different from that of the functional base, can be fitted with jewellery, accessories, functional elements, etc, which have to be removed when the base is cleaned for care reasons.

FIG. 10 shows an inventive picture frame 14a, whose frame element 14b has fastening means for detachable fastening of a decorative material 14c in an area delimited by the frame element 14b. This form of inventive embodiment also allows the picture frame 14a to be attached to the wall of a room as decoration without any picture. For example, if a picture is replaced or removed, the frame section 14b need not be removed and stored. Instead, a decorative element 14c can cover the interior area temporarily or permanently. The decorative element 14c can, for example, be a textile element, but also consist of paper, cardboard, etc. The element 14c can be printed, patterned or be decorated in some other way. In accordance with the invention, means are provided for removable fastening of the decorative element.

FIG. 11 shows a stool 15a or a chest 15a. The invention also extends in principle to furniture, especially furniture, whose exterior 15b is fitted with a textile material. Thus, the stool 15a or the chest 15a has fastening means for detachable fastening of one or more two-dimensional or profiled decorative elements 15c. The removability of the decorative elements 15c ensures that the appearance of the stool 15a or the chest 15a can always be adjusted to the environment.

FIG. 12 shows further inventive embodiments. Thus, a rectangular area 16b of a tablecloth 16a can also be detachably connected to an equally rectangular, removable decorative fabric 16c. The decorative fabric 16c can also have a rectangular shape and, once attached to the surface 16b, can leave a peripheral border area of the surface 16b exposed to view. For example, decorative fabrics 16c of different size can be provided for a certain tablecloth 16a. This allows the tablecloth to be adapted to table surfaces of different size and shape. For example, a corresponding oval decorative element 16c could conceivably be attached to the base element 16b for oval tables. Furthermore, the size of the decorative material 16c can be adjusted to the size of the table, such that, for example, precisely the entire table surface is covered by the decorative fabric 16c.

The decorative element 16c, however, as shown in the second embodiment of the tablecloth 16a, can also be configured as a frame and only cover a border area of the surface 16b of the tablecloth 16a.

The situation is similar in the case of the napkins or place settings 17a shown in FIG. 13. Here, the decorative element 17c can cover an internal area of the surface 17b of the napkin 17a, a border area, or the area of a corner (or side) of the surface 17b. The fastening means are attached such that the decorative element 17c and thus one or more designs of the napkin 17a can be attached in one or more ways.

The invention, as FIGS. 14 to 19 show, can also be executed in connection with furniture and furnishings.

Thus, FIG. 14 shows a textile cupboard 18a having a textile surface 18b, to which a two-dimensional, especially a textile, decorative element 18c is removably attached, for example, by means of a hook-and-loop fastener. The decorative element 18c may also have a functional element, such as a mirror. The mirror may be arranged permanently or removably at the decorative element 18c.

FIG. 15 shows a lamp 19a with a lampshade 19b. At the lower rim of the lampshade 19b is arranged a detachable decorative element 19c in the form of a strip.

FIG. 16 shows a louver curtain 20a with several curtain elements or lamellas 20d, 20e and 20f that slide towards each other. Identical or different two-dimensional decorative elements 20c may be removably fastened to the surface of one or more of the sliding elements 20d, 20e and 20f.

A roller blind 21a shown in FIG. 17 has a screening area 21b. A removably attached decorative element 21c is provided in the area of the lower edge of the screening area 21b. When the screening area 21b is pulled up or rolled away, the visible surface of the screening area 21b is rolled away completely, such that only the decorative element 21c or a part of it is visible.

FIG. 18 shows a bed 20a, whose base has a free surface 20b at its top end and/or lower end, said surface being provided with fastening means to which a decorative element 20c is detachably attached.

FIG. 19 shows a side view and a rear view of a chair antimacassar 21a to which decorative elements 21c have been fastened to different sides.

As shown in FIG. 20, the invention can be executed in connection with any kind of blanket, for example in connection with a picnic blanket 22a. One or both surfaces 22b of the blanket 22a can be connected to a detachable functional or decorative element 22c. The decorative element 22c can be detachably arranged at one or both surfaces 22b by different means, such as hook-and-loop fasteners. The element 22c can, for example, be a protection against damp, which can be arranged on the underside 22b of the blanket 22a, 22b, or a decorative element 22b, which can be arranged on the upper side 22b of the blanket 22a.

FIG. 21 shows a further inventive embodiment. A wall covering 23 (e.g. of fabric) has a specially coated surface 23b, on which identical or different decorative elements 23c can be removably arranged and under circumstances anywhere on the surface 23b. Especially, the decorative material for the decorative elements 23c can be a material different from that of the wall covering material. In this way, rooms can be personalized in different ways and without much effort at any time. Two-dimensional textile elements, posters and the like could conceivably be fastened to a wall covering, which has permanently mounted fastening means for that purpose.

In general, the second elements have a two-dimensional configuration and are arranged at a free area on the first element.

The decorative element and/or the functional element can be detachably attached to the base element by any detachable fastening means, such as hook-and-loop fasteners, buttons, zippers, etc. In all inventive embodiments, the decorative element can have a single or multi-part configuration and be removably fastened to the base element by one or more kinds of any fastening means.

Moreover, the decorative element can have means for fulfilling additional functions, such as the provision of pockets for an item of clothing, further fastening means, for example, for fastening am object such as a clock, and so on.

Protection is sought for all features, individually and in combination, in connection with the invention. The features described in the embodiments are especially intended to be combinable with each other.

Claims

1. A textile, comprising a first textile element and, arranged at said first textile element, fastening means for fastening a second element to said first textile element.

2. The textile in accordance with claim 1, wherein

said fastening means comprise at least one selected from the group consisting of hook-and-loop fasteners, buttons, button holes, zippers, and fastening ribbons.

3. A combination of a textile and a second element, wherein the textile comprises a first textile element and, arranged at said first textile element, fastening means for fastening said second element to said first textile element, wherein said second element is detachably or removably fastened to said first textile element by means of said fastening means.

4. The combination in accordance with claim 3, wherein

said second element has a decorative element and/or a functional element.

5. The combination in accordance with claim 3, wherein

said fastening means comprise at least one selected from the group consisting of hook-and-loop fasteners, buttons, button holes, zippers, and fastening ribbons.

6. The combination in accordance with claim 3, wherein

said second element has fastening means for fastening at least one further decorative element and/or functional element thereon.

7. The combination in accordance with claim 3, wherein

said second element has complementary fastening means for fastening said second element to said first textile element.

8. An item of clothing or accessory, comprising a first functional element and, arranged at said first functional element, fastening means for fastening a second element to said first element.

9. The item of clothing or accessory in accordance with claim 8, wherein

said fastening means comprise at least one selected from the group consisting of hook-and-loop fasteners, buttons, button holes, zippers, and fastening ribbons.

10. A combination of an item of clothing or accessory and a second element, wherein

said item of clothing or accessory comprises fastening means for fastening said second element to said item of clothing or accessory, wherein said second element is detachably or removably fastened to said item of clothing or accessory by means of said fastening means.

11. The combination in accordance with claim 10, wherein

said second element has a decorative element and/or a functional element.

12. The combination in accordance with claim 10, wherein

said fastening means comprise at least one selected from the group consisting of hook-and-loop fasteners, buttons, button holes, zippers, and fastening ribbons.

13. The combination in accordance with claim 11, wherein

said second element has fastening means for fastening at least one further decorative element and/or functional element.

14. The combination in accordance with claim 10, said second element has complementary fastening means for fastening said second element to said item of clothing or accessory.

15. A piece of furniture or furnishing, comprising a first functional element and, arranged at said first functional element, fastening means for fastening a second element to said first element.

16. The piece of furniture or furnishing in accordance with claim 15, wherein

said fastening means comprise at least one selected from the group consisting of hook-and-loop fasteners, buttons, button holes, zippers, and fastening ribbons.

17. A combination of an item of furniture or furnishing and a second element, wherein

said item of furniture or furnishing comprises fastening means for fastening said second element to said item of furniture or furnishing, wherein said second element is detachably or removably fastened to said piece of furniture or furnishing by means of said fastening means.

18. The combination in accordance with claim 17, wherein

said second element has a decorative element and/or a functional element.

19. The combination in accordance with claim 17, wherein

said second element has fastening means for fastening at least one further decorative element and/or functional element.

20. The combination in accordance with claim 17, wherein

said second element has complementary fastening means for fastening said second element to said item of clothing or accessory.
