SUPPORT DEVICE FOR HANGING OBJECTS ON GARMENTS

Abstract

The invention relates to a support device for hanging objects on garments consisting of two magnetized parts (1) and (2), which can be fixed to one another by mutual magnetic influence, arranging them on the inside and outside of a garment (4), respectively, in order to secure the application element to be supported with respect to the part (1) arranged on the outside.

Description

FIELD OF THE ART

The object of the present invention is a support device of the type created to be incorporated on a user's clothing in order to be able to hang from said device an object which is not being used at a given time, but which the user can make use of later.

Such is the case of supports for glasses, which allow maintaining the glasses associated to the user when they are not being used.

STATE OF THE ART

The use of cords or chains which, encircling the neck of the user, secure glasses when they are not being used is already known for the specific application as supports for glasses. This system has several drawbacks, one of them being that the glasses, and more specifically their lenses, are exposed to blows and scratches. This support system further has consequences for the user which are negative in many cases as regard aesthetics.

A support solution by means of a part hanging from a button is also known through Utility Model ES 1029318. In addition to requiring the user to wear garments with buttons, this solution ends up affecting the stitching of the button on the garment involved because of the weight.

Utility Models 168948 and U9501356 disclose two support solutions for said purpose, the drawback of which lies in the fact that their use requires perforating the garment in which they are assembled and in that their application is complex.

In addition support devices formed by a safety pin or broach from which the corresponding element to be supported, such as a writing implement, hangs by means of a cord, chain or similar filiform element are also known. In addition to requiring perforating the corresponding garment, this solution limits the field of use of the hung element to the size of the cord or chain.

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

Compared to these already known solutions, a solution is now presented according to which the support device is determined by at least two parts preferably formed by respective magnets, such that both parts can be joined together by magnetic action, trapping the corresponding garment of the user between them and then allowing the assembly, in relation to the outer part, of the corresponding element which must be temporarily supported by the device.

Different alternatives, one of them being that said element is in turn fixed by magnetism against the outer part of the device, have been provided for this assembly of the element to be hung. In such case and in order to achieve said magnetic fixing, the actual magnetic nature of any part of the element to be hung can be used or a magnetic part can be provided which can be removable or be integrated in the actual element to be hung.

Another alternative can be to provide the outer part with a hanging formation, such as a ring formation projecting in a cantilevered manner, with an open or closed configuration and from which the corresponding element to be supported by the device can be hung.

It has also been provided that this ring formation is complemented or replaced by any known hooking means.

Thus, if the support device is to be used for hanging glasses for example, the glasses can be provided, either in one of its arms or in the their bridge area, with a magnet or a metal part for the fixing thereof by magnetism directly against the outer part of the device.

In the version in which the device has a projecting ring formation for hanging the corresponding element from it, the device can likewise be used as a support for glasses by simply passing the arm of the glasses though the hanging formation projecting from the outer part.

In the version in which the outer part has hooking means, objects such as a mobile telephone or another small electronic apparatus can likewise be used to hang from these means.

The device object of the present invention thus allows hanging from it most small objects that people usually temporarily use, such as, in addition to those already described, smoking accessories for example, such as a lighter, etc.

The use of this support device within the professional field for supporting elements such as a comb or hairstyling implements, small tools or small work devices, etc., is also possible.

It must be pointed out that in the makeup of the device with two magnetized parts, said parts can be joined together strong enough so as to make it possible to hang elements of a certain weight, without the device coming off and without causing any deterioration in the garment on which the device is assembled, which together with the diversity of hanging solutions which can be applied on the device, in addition to actually fixing the element to be hung by magnetism, provides the device with a truly universal nature as far as its application possibilities.

In addition this support device offers important improvements compared to solutions known until now, improvements which can be summarized, among others, as follows:

• • The non-perforated support neither affects the garment in which it is assembled nor its components (buttons).
  • Assembling the support is very simple and quick.
  • Assembling the object to be supported is very secure.
  • The support does not lose its qualities as such with use.
  • The support has minimal weight for the user.
  • Manufacturing the support is very simple, allowing it to be made from all types of materials such as synthetics, metals or even imitation jewelry or precious metals.
  • The support allows associating to the component parts elements of any makeup and configuration, capable even of receiving advertising prints.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The object of the present invention is a support for glasses formed by at least two parts (1 and 2) which, according to a practical non-limiting embodiment, are magnetized such that by the magnetic properties they can be associated to one another, both being joined together to form a unit in which a laminar body (4) forming part of a garment can be arranged between said parts (1 and 2), as can be observed in FIG. 2.

Although an embodiment in which only one of the parts (1 and 2) was a magnet and the other was merely a metal part which was fixed by magnetism on such part could be chosen, it has been chosen that the two parts (1 and 2) are magnets so that a strong enough joint is generated between them so as to ensure the fixing of the device on the corresponding garment (4) and the secure hanging of the corresponding element to be supported.

Since the outer part (1) is a magnet, any metal element can be fixed directly on the part, such a writing implement, a lighter, clips, pins, etc.

In this sense this device can be used as a support for glasses (5), fixing the latter directly on the outer part (1) by magnetism through any metal part of the frame of the actual glasses (5).

In addition, in the event that the glasses (5) do not have a metal part in their frame enabling a secure fixing, it has been provided that the frame be provided with at least one detachable element (6) which will preferably be removable and which can be a small magnet, ensuring said secure hanging of the glasses (5).

This detachable element (6) will preferably be arranged in relation to the bridge of the frame or rather in one or in both arms as observed in FIG. 3.

The fact that this detachable magnet element (6) is preferably incorporated in the frame of the glasses (5) or even that it is already originally integrated in the frame by the actual manufacturer of the glasses would by no means alter the essence of the invention.

A user can therefore arrange, inside her or her corresponding shirt or garment (4), part (2) and part (1) on the outside, the support thus being arranged in order to fulfill its function as such, see FIG. 2.

It must be pointed out that this solution allows hanging any small element, implement, tool, part or complement to which said detachable element (6) is incorporated, both in its preferred version of a small magnet and in the version of a metal element which can be fixed by magnetism on the outer part (1) of the support device. The detachable element (6) can thus be put on a comb for example, so that the support device can be used by a professional in the hairstyling sector. It can also be assembled in a writing implement, in a small tool, etc.

According to a practical embodiment variant (FIG. 4), the outer part (1) incorporates a ring formation (3) projecting in a cantilevered manner in order to allow hanging the element to be supported directly from such ring formation. FIG. 5 shows how glasses (5) are hung from the ring formation (3) by simply passing one of the arms through said ring formation (3).

This ring formation (3) projecting in a cantilevered manner can be complemented with or even replaced by other hanging means such as snap type hooks or the like for example, which enable hanging mobile telephones or similar objects which would hang from said hooks. The hanging means can provide any other known structure or configuration facilitating said hanging function.

It must be pointed out that the parts (1) and (2) can be metal or formed in any other material incorporating a magnetic element in it.

The structure of said parts (1) and (2) can thus be synthetic in a plastic material for example, having the corresponding magnet embedded therein. It has also been provided that part (1) and/or part (2) can be made in other materials, such as wood, precious metals, glass, etc. to which the corresponding magnetic element is fixed by suitable means such as adhesives, welding, etc., by means of which magnetic element the magnetic fixing between both to parts (1 and 2) is provided.

It has also been provided that even an embodiment is possible in which only one of the parts (1) or (2) is magnetized and the other is made of a nonmagnetic material and can be fixed against the magnetized part by the magnetic effect, which solution, although functionally possible for the purpose, nevertheless provides less fixing strength between the component parts (1) and (2) of the device, therefore the solution with both magnetized parts (1) and (2) is preferable, inasmuch as a strong enough joint is not obtained with a single magnet.

It must be pointed out that in the attached figures, parts (1 and 2) have been depicted according to a general circular configuration, but they can adopt any polygonal, mixed line configuration, without altering the essence of the invention.

Likewise, the part (1) has been depicted as a circular body which can receive any finishing on its outer surface, even texts and/or figures, as well as advertising messages, however the part (1) can also have any formation, even that of a filiform element forming a filigree, such as a broach made of jewelry or imitation jewelry, determining the ring support formation (3) itself. In addition the part (1) can adopt the shape of any three-dimensional figure determining or incorporating the corresponding support solution (3) where applicable.

In relation to said ring support formation (3), at least one ring formation is necessary; however there can be more than one without altering the essence of the invention and it can likewise adopt a closed or partially open circumferential plan configuration, or adopt any other form.

Claims

1. A support device for hanging objects on garments, characterized in that it is formed by at least two parts (1) and (2), both preferably magnetized, which can be fixed to one another by mutual magnetic influence, with a garment (4) of the corresponding user arranged between both parts; and in that the corresponding element to be supported is assembled in relation to part (1), which is on the outside of the garment (4).

2. A support device for hanging objects on garments according to claim 1, characterized in that the element to be supported is assembled in relation to part (1) by magnetic action.

3. A support device for hanging objects on garments according to claim 1, characterized in that the outer part (1) can have a hanging formation (3) projecting in a cantilevered manner from said part.

4. A support device for hanging objects on garments according to claim 1, characterized in that for fixing the element to be supported on part (1) by magnetism, it has been provided that said element to be supported is provided with at least one metal and preferably magnetized detachable part (6).

A support device for hanging objects on garments according to claim 1, characterized in that the detachable part (6) is incorporated in the element to be hung according to a removable solution, or integrated in the element to be hung in a permanent manner, such that if the element to be hung is glasses (5), the magnetized detachable part (6) is incorporated in relation to the bridge of the frame or in one or in both arms.

6. A support device for hanging objects on garments according to claim 1, characterized in that according to a preferred embodiment, the hanging formation (3) has a closed or open ring configuration projecting in a cantilevered manner from part (1).

7. A support device for hanging objects Oh garments according to claim 1, characterized in that it has been provided that the hanging ring formation (3) is complemented with other hooking means for the elements to be supported.
