Salsa can cup top/bowl top

Abstract

The SALSA CUP BOWL TOP design was created to provide salsa purchasing consumers an easy, accessible NEW “bowl” option when dipping tortilla chips/chips in a salsa jar. Once the jar is opened, the consumer is able to use my SALSA CUP BOWL TOP as a “bowl”, rather than looking for one to use in the kitchen. After top is used, it can be cleaned/rinsed and placed back on the chosen salsa jar. The SALSA CUP BOWL TOP is made of the same thin, durable aluminum material used for all salsa tops. The exception is that its concavity is needed to make the “bowl” functionality of the top and could either have a flat base (see top in FIG. 1.1), or a spherical base (see top in FIG. 1.2).

Description

PURPOSE

The SALSA CUP BOWL TOP design was created to provide salsa purchasing consumers an easy, accessible “bowl” option when dipping tortilla chips/chips in a salsa jar. What distinguishes this invention from the typical jar top is that once the jar is opened, the consumer is able to use my SALSA CUP BOWL TOP as a “bowl”, rather than looking for one to use in the kitchen. The typical salsa/jar top doesn't provide this “bowl” for dipping option. After top is used, it can be cleaned/rinsed and placed back on the chosen salsa jar.

DESIGN

Illustrations are found on attached sheets showing front views of The SALSA CUP BOWL TOP—FIG. 1.1 and FIG. 1.2; all forwarded with original application [Docket Num.: SAL 0082606]. The SALSA CUP BOWL TOP is made of the same thin, durable aluminum material used for all salsa tops. It's concavity is needed to make the “bowl” functionality of the top and could either have a flat base (see top in FIG. 1.1), or a spherical base (see top in FIG. 1.2). This aluminum The SALSA CUP BOWL TOP can be cut as a circle from a sheet of aluminum paper by diameter and then shaped to get the concavity and roundness (or flat) feature of The SALSA CUP BOWL TOP. The edges would have to be tucked by pliers or special machinery, and rounded all around The SALSA CUP BOWL TOP as to not cut fingers or hands when using it. A coat of non-toxic paint should be applied along with the appropriate Salsa company name brand and other pertinent date information for marketing and shelving.

FIG. 1.1 shows how the SALSA CUP BOWL TOP would look from the front, along with the dimensions of the SALSA CUP BOWL TOP from the base to the top of the SALSA CUP BOWL TOP lid.
