Description
CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

The present application claims priority of French patent application FR-07 07431 filed on Oct. 23, 2007, the content of which is incorporated herein by reference.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention concerns a bottle intended to contain a product, in particular liquid, for example for use in perfumery or cosmetics or for pharmaceutical treatments.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In particular, the bottles according to the invention find their use for containing product samples, in particular in quantities of between 1 and 10 ml, with a view to their dispensing.

For this purpose, bottles are known comprising a body in which a compartment is formed for packaging the product, said compartment comprising a sealed bottom and an opening for dispensing the product. The opening may simply be provided with a closure stopper or a dispensing device such as a manually actuated pump or an application means.

For many reasons, it may be wished to connect these bottles to another element by means for example of a cord, such as a charm or pendent, for preventing loss of the bottle, etc.

To do this, it is then necessary to produce a modified version of the bottles, which involves producing different bottles according to the fitting or not of the connection means.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The invention aims to simplify the production of a bottle comprising a means of connection with another element, by proposing in particular a bottle comprising a body in which a compartment for packaging a product is formed, said compartment comprising a sealed bottom and a top opening for dispensing the product, said body also comprising a lower skirt that extends from said bottom in order to form under it a housing in line with said compartment, said bottle also comprising an attached means of connecting said bottle with another element, said means being associated on the skirt.

According to the first and second embodiments (FIGS. 1 and 2), the connection means comprises an eyelet 7 engaged in an orifice 8 formed in the skirt 5. By way of example, the orifice 8 can be implemented by a pin able to move during the operation of pressure injection of the material forming the bottle, by piercing by reworking in deferred time during the operation of filling the compartment 2 with the product, or by punching in the case of a metal bottle.

According to these embodiments, the diameter of the part of the eyelet 7 that is engaged in the orifice is arranged so that it does not interfere with the skirt 5 outside the area in which the orifice 8 is formed, in order to allow an ability for the said part to slide in the housing 6. In addition, the eyelet 7 shown comprises:

an opening 9 that can be actuated manually in order to be able to engage the said eyelet in the orifice 8 reversibly; and

a lower hook 10 in which a flexible connecting cord 11, for example elastic, is associated slidably.

According to the third embodiment (FIG. 3), the connection means comprises a stopper 12 that is associated with the skirt 5 by engagement in the bottom opening in the housing 6. More precisely, the stopper 12 comprises a skirt 12b mounted in interference with the internal face of the skirt 5, in order to achieve a holding clamping. In a variant that is not shown, a snapping-on notch can be provided on the skirt 12b. In addition, the bottom face of the stopper 12 is provided with a pierced lug 12a in which a flexible cord 11 is mounted slidably. Advantageously the stopper 12 can be produced from a material with a strong elastic memory and high coefficient of friction such as elastomeric materials.

In addition, in the embodiments depicted, the dispensing opening 4 is provided with a device for dispensing the product which, in FIGS. 2 and 3, comprises a manual-actuation pump 13, the body of which is mounted sealingly in said dispensing opening. Such a pump 13 is in particular described in the document FR-2 854 822, the content of which is incorporated by reference in the present description.

In FIG. 1, the device comprises a means 14 of applying the product as in particular described in the document FR-2 855 818, the content of which is incorporated by reference in the present description.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Other objects and advantages of the invention will emerge from the following description given with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:

FIG. 1 depicts in longitudinal section a bottle according to a first embodiment of the invention;

FIG. 2 depicts in longitudinal section a bottle according to a second embodiment of the invention; and

FIG. 3 depicts in longitudinal section a bottle according to a third embodiment of the invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In the description, the terms for positioning in space are taken with reference to the position of the bottle shown in the figures.

In relation to the figures, a description is given of three embodiments of a bottle intended to contain a product, in particular liquid, for example for use in perfumery or cosmetics or for pharmaceutical treatments.

The bottle comprises a body 1 in which a compartment 2 for packaging a product is formed, said compartment comprising a sealed bottom 3 and a top opening 4 for dispensing the product. In the embodiments depicted, the body 1 has a cylindrical envelope of revolution and can be produced from synthetic material or metal. In the context of an application as a sample bottle, the volume of the compartment 2 may be between 1 and 10 ml.

The body 1 also comprises, in a single piece, a bottom skirt 5 that extends from the bottom 3 in order to form under it a housing 6 in line with said compartment. The skirt 5 depicted has a cylindrical geometry of revolution, with the same outside diameter as that of the compartment 2 so as to be in line with the external wall of said compartment. Moreover, the bottom edge of the skirt 5 forms the bottom end of the bottle. This embodiment also makes it possible to benefit from a bottle with a size greater than that of the compartment 2, so as to improve its gripping and give an impression of greater content, in particular in relation to a sample bottle.

The bottle also comprises an attached means of connecting said bottle with another element, for example with another object, with a garment or with part of the body of the user. To avoid any constraints resulting from the association of the connection means on the compartment 2, the invention makes provision for associating said means on the skirt 5.

In addition, in the embodiments depicted, the housing 6 has a lower opening formed opposite to the bottom, the said opening facilitating the fitting of the connection means. In addition, the presence of the lower opening makes it possible to envisage a fitting of the skirt 5 on supports in order to achieve the holding of the bottle for example in a package or on a display unit.
