MICROFIBER MULTI-PURPOSE CLEANING TOOL

An aspect of the invention provides a microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool includes a base plate, a microfiber cleaning patch, first fasteners, and a pole. The microfiber cleaning patch includes a cleaning side, a fastening side, and an edge, and the cleaning side is for cleaning the surfaces, which is provided over the bottom side of the base plate. The cleaning side includes microfiber portions. The first fasteners are configured to fasten the fastening side of the microfiber cleaning patch to the bottom side of the base plate detachably, and the fasteners are disposed on the bottom side of the base plate.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a multi-purpose cleaning tool. More particularly, this invention relates to a microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool, which facilitates scrubbing or wiping surfaces by introducing microfiber cleaning patch.

Scrubbing surfaces is an important action of cleansing surfaces. Scrubbing involves two surfaces coming into contact through an intermediate region between the two surfaces. Therefore, the mechanical or physical properties of the two surfaces themselves are major players in scrubbing.

In cleansing a surface of an object, many situations can occur, in which replacing the cleaning patch. A cleaning patch may be needed to be replaced with a new one because the old one is dirty, damaged, or just out of capacity. Or, sometimes, one kind of cleaning patch may be needed to be changed with another kind of cleaning patch to cleanse a surface having a different type of dirt. In those cases, changing the cleaning patch may not be so easy or tidy in the middle of cleansing a messy surface.

Accordingly, a need for a microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool for scrubbing surfaces effectively has been present for a long time considering the expansive demands of touch and complicated cleansing in the everyday life. This invention is directed to solve these problems and satisfy the long-felt need.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention contrives to solve the disadvantages of the prior art.

An objective of the invention is to provide a microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool.

Another object of the invention is to provide a microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool, which is used to scrub surfaces for cleaning.

Still another object of the invention is to provide a microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool, which uses microfiber patches.

Still another object of the invention is to provide a microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool, in which the cleaning microfiber patch can be easily changed.

An aspect of the invention provides a microfiber multipurpose cleaning tool for cleaning surfaces of an object. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool includes a base plate, a microfiber cleaning patch, one or more first fasteners, and a pole.

The base plate has a top side and a bottom side which is substantially flat. The microfiber cleaning patch includes a cleaning side, a fastening side, and an edge, and the cleaning side is configured to clean the surfaces and provided over the bottom side of the base plate. The cleaning side includes one or more microfiber portions.

The one or more first fasteners are configured to fasten the fastening side of the microfiber cleaning patch to the bottom side of the base plate detachably, and the one or more fasteners are disposed on the bottom side of the base plate.

The pole has first and second ends, and the first end of the pole is hingeably connected to the top side of the base plate.

The one or more microfiber portions may cover substantially the cleaning side of the microfiber cleaning patch.

The one or more microfiber portions may cover at least a portion of the cleaning side of the microfiber cleaning patch. The microfiber cleaning patch further may include one or more non-microfiber portions. The one or more non-microfiber portions and the one or more microfiber portions may form a predetermined pattern. The one or more non-microfiber portions may include fabric.

The fastening side of the microfiber cleaning patch may include one or more second fasteners which correspond to the one or more first fasters. Each of the one or more first fasteners may include a loop-and-hook fastener. The loop-and-hook fastener may include a Velcro.

The microfiber cleaning patch may further include one or more dust-collecting portions disposed along at least a portion of the edge of the microfiber cleaning patch. At least one of the one or more dust-collecting portions may include a plurality of loops of string.

The pole may further include a handle at the second end.

Another aspect of the invention provides a microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool for cleaning surfaces of an object including: a base plate having a top side and a bottom side which is substantially flat; a microfiber cleaning patch including a cleaning side, a fastening side, and an edge, the cleaning side being configured to clean the surfaces and being provided over the bottom side of the base plate, wherein the cleaning side includes one or more microfiber portions; one or more first fasteners configured to fasten the fastening side of the microfiber cleaning patch to the bottom side of the base plate detachably, the one or more fasteners being disposed on the bottom side of the base plate; a first pole having first and second ends, wherein the first end of the pole is hingeably connected to the top side of the base plate; and an extender portion provided at the second end of the first pole, wherein the extender portion is configured to extend the first pole by connecting a second pole at the second end of the first pole.

The extender portion may include a mechanical connector. The mechanical connector may include female and male threads. The second pole may include a handle at an end of the second pole.

The microfiber cleaning patch may cover at least part of the top side of the base plate. The edge of the microfiber cleaning patch may be configured to elastically close in over the top side of the base plate such that the microfiber cleaning patch holds the base plate further. The microfiber cleaning patch may further include a string providing through the edge of the microfiber cleaning patch, and the string may be configured to be tied and held.

The advantages of the present invention are: (1) the microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool is very effective in wiping out surfaces; and (2) the microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool includes a microfiber patch that can be replaced with other one easily.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION

FIG. 1 shows a microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIGS. 2-4 illustrate bottom plan views of a base plate of FIG. 1.

According to an aspect of the invention, the microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool 100 is provided. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool 100 includes a base plate 10, a microfiber cleaning patch 20, one or more first fasteners 30, and a pole 40.

The base plate 10 has a top side 12 and a bottom side 14 which is substantially flat. The microfiber cleaning patch 20 includes a cleaning side 22, a fastening side 24, and an edge 26, and the cleaning side 22 is configured to clean the surfaces and provided over the bottom side 14 of the base plate 10. The cleaning side 22 includes one or more microfiber portions 23 as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6. FIG. 5 shows a top plan view of a cleaning patch 20 according to an embodiment, and FIG. 6 shows a bottom plan view of a cleaning patch 20 in FIG. 5.

The one or more first fasteners 30 are configured to fasten the fastening side 24 of the microfiber cleaning patch 20 to the bottom side 14 of the base plate 10 detachably, and the one or more fasteners 30 are disposed on the bottom side 14 of the base plate 10.

FIG. 7 shows a pole 40, FIG. 8 shows a top plan view of a microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool 100 with a second pole 50, extension, and FIG. 9 shows a partial cross-sectional view of first and second poles 40, 50 according to an embodiment.

The first pole 40 has first and second ends 42, 44, and the first end 42 of the first pole 40 is hingeably connected to the top side 12 of the base plate 10.

The one or more microfiber portions 23 of the cleaning patch 20 may cover substantially the cleaning side 22 of the microfiber cleaning patch 20.

Alternatively, the one or more microfiber portions 23 of the cleaning patch 20 may cover at least a portion of the cleaning side 22 of the microfiber cleaning patch 20.

In certain embodiments shown in FIG. 6, the microfiber cleaning patch 20 may further include one or more non-microfiber portions 25. The one or more non-microfiber portions 25 and the one or more microfiber portions 23 may form a predetermined pattern. The one or more non-microfiber portions 25 may include a regular fabric. In the illustrated embodiment, the one or more non-microfiber portions 25 comprise remaining surfaces other than the one or more microfiber portions 23. In certain embodiments, the one or more non-microfiber portions 25 and the one or more microfiber portions 23 may have shapes of straight or wavy stripes.

In another embodiments shown in FIG. 11, the fastening side 24 of the microfiber cleaning patch 20 may include one or more second fasteners 27 which correspond to the one or more first fasters 30. Each of the one or more first fasteners 30 may include a loop-and-hook fastener. The loop-and-hook fastener may include a Velcro. Each of the one or more second fasteners 27 may also include a loop-and-hook fastener, which is configured to be stuck with each of the one or more first fasteners 30.

In another embodiments shown in FIG. 12, the microfiber cleaning patch 20 may further include one or more dust-collecting portions 28 disposed along at least a portion of the edge of the microfiber cleaning patch 20. At least one of the one or more dust-collecting portions 28 may include a plurality of loops of string as shown in the illustrated embodiment.

The pole 40 may further include a handle 46 at the second end 44 as shown in FIG. 7.

Another aspect of the invention provides a microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool 100 for cleaning surfaces of an object including: a base plate 10 having a top side 12 and a bottom side 14 which is substantially flat; a microfiber cleaning patch 20 including a cleaning side 22, a fastening side 24, and an edge 26, the cleaning side 22 being configured to clean the surfaces and provided over the bottom side 14 of the base plate 10, wherein the cleaning side 22 of the microfiber cleaning patch 20 includes one or more microfiber portions 23 as shown in FIG. 6; one or more first fasteners 30 configured to fasten the fastening side 24 of the microfiber cleaning patch 20 to the bottom side 14 of the base plate 10 detachably, the one or more fasteners 30 being disposed on the bottom side 14 of the base plate 10; a first pole 40 having first and second ends 42, 44, wherein the first end 42 of the pole 40 is hingeably connected to the top side 12 of the base plate 10; and an extender portion 45 provided at the second end 44 of the first pole 40, wherein the extender portion 45 is configured to extend the first pole 40 by connecting a second pole 50 at the second end 44 of the first pole 40 as shown in FIGS. 8 and 9.

In the illustrated embodiment shown in FIG. 9, the extender portion 45 includes a mechanical connector. The mechanical connector may include female and male threads 46, 48. The second pole 50 may include a handle 52 at an end of the second pole 50.

In certain embodiments shown in FIG. 10, the microfiber cleaning patch 20 may extend further and cover at least part of the top side 12 of the base plate 10. The edge of the microfiber cleaning patch 20 may be configured to elastically close in over the top side 12 of the base plate 10 such that the microfiber cleaning patch 20 holds the base plate 10 further. The microfiber cleaning patch 20 may further include a string 18 providing through the edge 16 of the microfiber cleaning patch 20, and the string 18 may be configured to be tied and held.

The first and second fasteners 30, 23 are configured to facilitate to change an old cleaning patch 20 with a new one. Still, fastening the cleaning patch 20 to the base plate 10 is strong enough to hold the two in place in spite of regular cleaning activity.

Microfiber is fiber with strands less than one denier. Denier is a unit for measuring the linear mass density of fibers, which is defined as the mass (grams) per unit length (9,000 meters). Microfiber is made out of blending of polyester and polyamide. Microfibers are used for some cleaning applications due to their useful properties for the purpose.

One type of microfiber may be constructed in a blend of 80/20 ratio of polyester/polyamideams.

While the invention has been shown and described with reference to different embodiments thereof, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that variations in form, detail, compositions and operation may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the accompanying claims.

Claims

1. A microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool for cleaning surfaces of an object comprising:

a base plate having a top side and a bottom side which is substantially flat;
a microfiber cleaning patch comprising a cleaning side, a fastening side, and an edge, the cleaning side being configured to clean the surfaces and being provided over the bottom side of the base plate, wherein the cleaning side comprises one or more microfiber portions;
one or more first fasteners configured to fasten the fastening side of the microfiber cleaning patch to the bottom side of the base plate detachably, the one or more fasteners being disposed on the bottom side of the base plate; and
a pole having first and second ends, wherein the first end of the pole is hingeably connected to the top side of the base plate.

2. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 1, wherein the one or more microfiber portions cover substantially the cleaning side of the microfiber cleaning patch.

3. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 1, wherein the one or more microfiber portions cover at least a portion of the cleaning side of the microfiber cleaning patch.

4. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 3, wherein the microfiber cleaning patch further comprises one or more non-microfiber portions.

5. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 4, wherein the one or more non-microfiber portions and the one or more microfiber portions form a predetermined pattern.

6. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 4, wherein the one or more non-microfiber portions comprise fabric.

7. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 1, wherein the fastening side of the microfiber cleaning patch comprises one or more second fasteners which correspond to the one or more first fasters.

8. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 7, wherein each of the one or more first fasteners comprises a loop-and-hook fastener.

9. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 8, wherein the loop-and-hook fastener comprises a Velcro.

10. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 1, wherein the microfiber cleaning patch further comprises one or more dust-collecting portions disposed along at least a portion of the edge of the microfiber cleaning patch.

11. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 10, wherein at least one of the one or more dust-collecting portions comprises a plurality of loops of string.

12. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 1, wherein the pole further comprises a handle at the second end.

13. A microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool for cleaning surfaces of an object comprising:

a base plate having a top side and a bottom side which is substantially flat;
a microfiber cleaning patch comprising a cleaning side, a fastening side, and an edge, the cleaning side being configured to clean the surfaces and being provided over the bottom side of the base plate, wherein the cleaning side comprises one or more microfiber portions;
one or more first fasteners configured to fasten the fastening side of the microfiber cleaning patch to the bottom side of the base plate detachably, the one or more fasteners being disposed on the bottom side of the base plate;
a first pole having first and second ends, wherein the first end of the pole is hingeably connected to the top side of the base plate; and
an extender portion provided at the second end of the first pole, wherein the extender portion is configured to extend the first pole by connecting a second pole at the second end of the first pole.

14. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 13, where the extender portion comprises a mechanical connector.

15. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 14, wherein the mechanical connector comprises female and male threads.

16. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 14, wherein the second pole comprises a handle at an end of the second pole.

17. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 13, wherein the microfiber cleaning patch covers at least part of the top side of the base plate.

18. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 17, wherein the edge of the microfiber cleaning patch is configured to elastically close in over the top side of the base plate such that the microfiber cleaning patch holds the base plate further.

19. The microfiber multi-purpose cleaning tool of claim 18, wherein the microfiber cleaning patch further comprises a string providing through the edge of the microfiber cleaning patch, and wherein the string is configured to be tied and held.
