Disclosed is a glue bottle, which includes a bottle body, which has a top bottleneck, a flat bottom wall, and multiple sets of longitudinally extending corrugations formed of a part of the periphery for quick relaxation of the bottle body after compression, a dispenser tip threaded onto the bottleneck of the bottle body, and a cap detachably capped on the dispenser tip.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to a glue bottle for holding a viscous fluid (such as: glue) and more particularly, to a flexible glue bottle, which has a special wrinkle design that facilitates compression and relaxation of the bottle body.

2. Description of the Related Art

FIG. 7 illustrates a conventional glue bottle, which comprises a cylindrical bottle body 40 that has a bottleneck 41 at its tapered top end, a dispenser tip 43 threaded onto the bottleneck 41 of the bottle body 40, and a cap 431 for capping on the dispenser tip 43 to close the passage. The bottom side 42 of the bottle body 40 is a flat wall so that the bottle body 40 can stand on a flat surface.

When hot, the bottle body 40 will expand. When the glue 50 contained in the bottle body 40 releases much gas after a long period without use, the inside pressure of the bottle body 40 will increase, causing the bottle body 40 to expand. When the bottle body 40 starts to expand (see the imaginary line in FIG. 7), the dimension of the bottle body 40 is relatively increased, and the bottle body 40 may be unable to keep the balance and may fall to the floor.

Further, during application of the aforesaid conventional glue bottle, as shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, the cap 431 is removed from the dispenser tip 43, and then the bottle body 40 is turned upside down and compressed to force the glue 50 out of the dispenser tip 43. When released the pressure, the bottle body 40 does not return to its former shape rapidly, and a certain amount of the glue 50 is left around the open end of the dispenser tip 43, causing waste. Further, when the residual glue 50 around the open end of the dispenser tip 43 is hardened, it blocks the passages of the dispenser tip 43.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is the main object of the present invention to provide a glue bottle, which returns to its former shape rapidly after being compressed, preventing residual glue around the dispenser tip.

To achieve this and other objects of the present invention, the glue bottle comprises a cylindrical bottle body holding a glue, a dispenser tip threaded onto the bottleneck of the cylindrical bottle body, and a cap detachably capped on the dispenser tip. The bottle body comprises multiple sets of longitudinally extending corrugations that are formed of a part of the periphery of the bottle body for quick relaxation of the bottle body after compression.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a glue bottle in accordance with the present invention is shown comprising a cylindrical bottle body 10 that has a bottleneck 11 at its tapered top side and a flat bottom wall 12 at its bottom side, a tapered dispenser tip 20 threaded onto the bottleneck 11 of the bottle body 10, and a cap 21 for capping on the dispenser tip 20 to close the passage. The bottle body 10 has two sets of corrugations 13 symmetrically disposed at two opposite sides. Each set of corrugations 13 is comprised of multiple longitudinally extending corrugations 131. The corrugations 131 have a smoothly arched cross section. By means of the flat bottom wall 12, the bottle body 10 stands on a flat surface stably. Foot members may be provided at the flat bottom wall 12 to enhance the standing stability of the bobble body 10 on a flat surface.

Referring to FIG. 6 and FIG. 1 again, the tapered dispenser tip 20 is threaded onto the bottleneck 11 of the bobble body 10, and the cap 21 is detachably capped on the tapered dispenser tip 20 to close the passage of the tapered dispenser tip 20. When hot, or when the glue 30 contained in the bottle body 10 releases much gas after a long period without use, the inside pressure of the bottle body 10 is increased to cause the bottle body 10 to expand. At this time, the two sets of corrugations 13 receive a part of the pressure, preventing downward expansion of the bottle body 10, and the bottle body 10 simply expands transversely in two reversed directions as shown in the imaginary line in FIG. 6, and therefore the flat bottom wall 12 of the bottle body 10 remains in the flat manner.

According to the present preferred embodiment, the bottle body 10 has two sets of corrugations 13 at two opposite sides. Alternatively, the bottle body 10 can be made having more than two sets of corrugations 13, and the multiple sets of corrugations 13 can be formed in the periphery of the bottle body 10 either in a symmetrical manner or asymmetrical manner.

Referring to FIG. 4 and FIGS. 1 and 2 again, during application of the present invention, open the cap 21 from the tapered dispenser tip 20, and then turn the bottle body 10 upside down, and then apply a pressure P to the bottle body 10 to force the glue 30 out of the tapered dispenser tip 20. When released the pressure P from the bottle body 10, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 5, the corrugations 131 immediately return to their former shape, producing a return spring force P1 in two reversed directions to return the bottle body 10 to its former shape. At this time, a suction force P2 is produced to suck the residual glue from the tapered dispenser tip 20 into the inside of the bottle body 10 as the bottle body 10 is returning to its former shape. Therefore, the tapered dispenser tip 20 is kept opened and clean after each application.

Referring to FIG. 1 again, the sets of corrugations 13 extend from the bottom side of the bottle body 10 to a certain extent that a blank area L is left between the top side of the sets of corrugations 13 and the bottleneck 11. The blank area L maintains the structural strength of the bottle body 10. Alternatively, the sets of corrugations 13 can be made extending from the bottom side of the bottle body 10 to the bottleneck 11

As stated above, the bottle body 10 of the glue bottle in accordance with the present invention has multiple sets of longitudinally extending corrugations 13 in the periphery so that the bottle body 10 returns to its former shape rapidly after being compressed, preventing residual glue around the tapered dispenser tip 20.

Although a particular embodiment of the invention has been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. For example, oscillator means may be used to atomize water into a fine spray. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.

Claims

1. A glue bottle comprising a cylindrical bottle body holding a glue, said bottle body having a top bottleneck and a flat bottom wall, wherein said bottle body has at least one set of corrugations formed of a part of the periphery thereof, said at least one set of corrugations each comprising a plurality of longitudinally extending corrugations.

2. The glue bottle as claimed in claim 1, wherein said longitudinally extending corrugations each have a smoothly arched cross section.

3. The glue bottle as claimed in claim 1, wherein said bottle body further comprises a plurality of foot members disposed at said flat bottom wall.

4. The glue bottle as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a tapered dispenser tip threaded onto said bottleneck of said bottle body for dispensing of said glue, and a cap for closing said dispenser tip.

5. The glue bottle as claimed in claim 1, wherein the number of said at least one set of corrugations is 2, and the two sets of corrugations are symmetrically disposed at two opposite sides.

6. The glue bottle as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one set of corrugations includes multiple sets of corrugations formed of a part of the periphery of said bottle body and spaced around the periphery of said bottle body in a symmetrical manner.

7. The glue bottle as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one set of corrugations includes multiple sets of corrugations formed of a part of the periphery of said bottle body and spaced around the periphery of said bottle body in an asymmetrical manner.

8. The glue bottle as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one set of corrugations extends vertically upwards from said flat bottom wall to said bottleneck.

9. The glue bottle as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one set of corrugations extends vertically upwardly from said flat bottom wall toward said bottleneck and is spaced from said bottleneck at a predetermined distance.

10. A glue bottle comprising a cylindrical bottle body holding a glue, said bottle body having a top bottleneck and a flat bottom wall, wherein said bottle body has two sets of corrugations formed of a part of the periphery thereof and symmetrically disposed at two opposite sides, said multiple sets of corrugations each comprising a plurality of longitudinally extending corrugations.

11. The glue bottle as claimed in claim 10, wherein said longitudinally extending corrugations each have a smoothly arched cross section.

12. The glue bottle as claimed in claim 10, wherein said two sets of corrugations extend from said flat bottom wall to said bottleneck.

13. The glue bottle as claimed in claim 10, wherein said two sets of corrugations extend vertically upwardly from said flat bottom wall toward said bottleneck and are spaced from said bottleneck at a predetermined distance.

14. A glue bottle comprising a bottle body holding a glue, said bottle body having the shape of a column, said column having a predetermined cross section, said bottle body having a top bottleneck and a flat bottom wall, wherein said bottle body has at least one set of corrugations formed of a part of the periphery thereof, said at least one set of corrugations each comprising a plurality of longitudinally extending corrugations.

15. The glue bottle as claimed in claim 14, wherein said longitudinally extending corrugations each have a smoothly arched cross section.
