Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention is related to an anti-leakage device for an oily bearing and particularly to an anti-leakage device with which lubrication oil of the bearing is prevented from leaking outward for prolonging life span of a fan.

2. Brief Description of the Related Art

The conventional anti-leakage device for an oily bearing as shown in FIG. 1 has a main member 1 integrally with a locating base 11. The locating base 11 has a hollow axial barrel 111 with a bearing 12 inside. The axial barrel 111 is surrounded with a coil 13. A fan wheel 14 provides blades at the outer circumferential side thereof and a magnetic ring 142 at the inner circumferential side thereof. The magnetic ring 142 is disposed corresponding to the coil 13. A spindle 143 extends from the inner side of the fan wheel to pass through the bearing 12 and is held with a retaining ring 15 and an oil ring 16.

The problem of the preceding prior while in use is in that although the bearing 12 releases lubrication oil via a sintered hole for lubricating the spindle 143 during rotating with high speed to avoid damage caused by dry friction, the oil ring 16 on the spindle 143 is insufficient to stop the lubrication oil leaking outward from the upper end of the barrel 111. Due to the lubrication oil leaking outward via the clearance between the axial barrel and the spindle 143 along with centrifugal force of the running spindle 143, it results in the lubrication oil is exhausted. Hence, excessive wear of the spindle 143 occurs such that it creates noise and lowers life span of the fan.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In order to overcome the deficiencies of the preceding prior art, an object of the present invention is to provide an anti-leakage device for an oily bearing with which lubrication oil can be stored without leaking outward.

Another object of the present invention is to provide an anti-leakage device for an oily bearing in which an oil removing disk is attached to the fan wheel to guide the lubrication oil at the fan wheel to the upper end of the bearing instead of stopping the lubrication oil moving outward.

A further object of the present invention is to provide an anti-leakage device for an oily bearing in which the axial barrel is higher than the bearing to prevent the lubrication oil from leaking outward along the upper end of the bearing.

A further object of the present invention is to provide an anti-leakage device for an oily bearing in which the axial barrel is higher than the bottom side of the oil removing disk for part of the lubrication oil at the oil removing disk being forced to splash to the inner wall surface of the axial barrel and flowing back to the bearing.

Accordingly, an anti-leakage device for an oily bearing according to the present invention includes a base, a wearing piece, a fastener, a bearing, a spindle and a fan wheel. The base provides an axial barrel. The wearing piece, the fastener, the bearing and the spindle are received in the axial barrel. An oil removing disk is attached to an inner side of the fan wheel and provides a conical shell with a conical hole being enclosed with the conical shell such that the oil removing disk is capable of collecting lubrication oil with centrifugal force and the lubrication oil collected by the oil removing disk passes through the conical hole to allow the lubrication oil flowing outward the oil removing disk being forced to move back to the axial barrel.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The detail structure, the applied principle, the function and the effectiveness of the present invention can be more fully understood with reference to the following description and accompanying drawings, in which:

FIG. 1 is a sectional view of the conventional anti-leakage device for an oily bearing;

FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of an anti-leakage device for an oily bearing according to the present invention;

FIG. 3 is an exploded sectional view of the anti-leakage device for an oily bearing shown in FIG. 1; and

FIG. 4 is a semi-sectional perspective view of the anti-leakage device for an oily bearing of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIG. 2, the preferred embodiment of an anti-leakage device for an oily bearing according to the present invention includes a base 21, a fan wheel 26, an oil removing disk 25, a fastener 23, a wearing piece 22 and a bearing 24. The base 21, which is mounted to a fan frame or a radiator, provides an axial barrel 211 for receiving the bearing 24. The fan wheel 26 has a spindle 261 to movably fit with the bearing 24 for the fan wheel 26 being capable of being rotationally attached to the base 21.

The axial barrel 211 has an upper end 2111 and a lower end 2112. The upper end 2111 is an open end to communicate with inner side of the axial barrel 2111. The lower end 2112 has an oil storage part 21123 (see FIG. 3) for receiving the wearing piece 22 and the fastener 23. The lower end 2112 is a closed end. It is noted that the lower end 2112 can be an open end with a bottom cap to cover the open end (not shown).

Referring to FIG. 3, the fan wheel 26 has a cylindrical part with a closed lateral side and a first end of the spindle 261 is attached to the center of the inner side of the closed lateral side. An alternate projection structure 262 is integrally formed with the inner side of the closed lateral side of the cylindrical part of the fan wheel 26 as a ring to surround the spindle 261. The oil removing disk 25 has an annular recess 251 extending inward from a lateral side thereof, a conical shell 252 disposed next to the annular recess 251 and extending outward the other lateral side thereof to form a conical hole 2521. The oil removing disk 25 is attached to the alternate projection structure 262 with tight fit and glued with each other or with press fit.

The bearing 24 provides a though axial bore 241 with two counter conical ends 243 as shown in FIG. 3 and at least an oil storage recess 244 is provided at the cylindrical surface of the axial bore 241. At least an elongated groove 245 is provided at the outer surface of the bearing 24 and the elongated groove 245 extends from the upper end thereof to the lower end thereof. Besides, the oil storage recess 244 is an annular recess extending along the axial line of the bearing 241 at the middle portion of the cylindrical surface of the axial bore 241. It is noted that the oil storage recess 244 shown in FIG. 3 is an example and not a limitation.

When the second end of the spindle 261 passes through the axial bore 241 and is held in the oil storage part 2113 with the fastener 23 in a way of the second end contacting with the wearing piece 22 and the oil storage recess 244 adjacent to the outer surface of the spindle 261.

Referring to FIG. 4, it can be seen clearly that the oil removing disk 2 is capable of collecting lubrication oil with centrifugal force while the fan wheel 26 running. The lubrication oil collected by the oil removing disk 2 passes through the conical hole 2521 enclosed by the conical shell 252 and returns to the bearing 24. Hence, the lubrication oil flowing outward the oil removing disk 25 can be forced to move back to the axial barrel 211 of the base 21. Meanwhile, the upper end of the axial barrel 211 is higher than the bearing 24 to avoid the lubrication oil at the upper end of the bearing 24 leaks outward via the periphery of the bearing 24.

While the invention has been described with referencing to the preferred embodiment thereof, it is to be understood that modifications or variations may be easily made without departing from the spirit of this invention, which is defined by the appended claims.
