Lens locker
The lens locker is a travel sized container consisting of separate compartments for storage of eye contact lenses and eye contact lens solution. The top portion of container shares a common base and consists of two rounded reservoirs, which are threaded to accept rounded closure caps that seal the reservoirs. Left cap is identified by a stamped letter L and right cap identified by a stamped letter R. The interior bottoms of reservoirs share common multi domed shaped forms on the surface for easy retrieval of contact lenses. The lower outer wall of base is threaded to attach the lower portion of container. The upper most part of interior wall of lower portion is threaded to accept base of top portion of container; creating a sealed unit. The lower portion of container is hollow in order to house contact lens solution.
The lens locker is a travel sized container with separate compartments for the convenience of storing and locating contact lens solution and contact lenses. The lens locker is designed to prevent loss of fluid and entry of contaminants.
SUMMARY OF INVENTIONA travel sized container consisting of separate compartments for storage of eye contact lenses and eye contact lens solution. The top portion of container shares a common base and consists of two rounded reservoirs with removable caps. One can easily identify the left and right contact by the stamped letter L or R on the reservoirs cap. The interior bottoms of the two reservoirs share common multi dome shaped forms on surface for easy retrieval of contact lenses. The bottom portion of container is the third reservoir that engages the threaded base of top portion of container creating this unique travel sized container.
Whether it be travel, school, long work hours, unexpected stays away from home, activities that require removal or cleaning of contacts, this container keeps contact lenses and lens solution in one accessible area. Improve contact lens care. Reduce the risk of dry lenses. Prevent the loss of solution. Proper lens care is essential in preventing contact lens related eye complications.
While the present invention will be described fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which a particular embodiment is shown, it is understood at the outset, persons skilled in the art may modify the invention herein described while still achieving the desired result. Accordingly, the accompanying descriptions are to be understood as a broad informative disclosure directed to persons skilled in the appropriate arts and not as limitations of the present invention.
Referring to the drawings in detail, and initially to
The base 12, as shown in
The bottom inside surface 34 of the left reservoir 16 is concave and embossed with multi dome shaped forms to prevent the contact lens from adhering to the surface. The bottom outside surface 36 of the left reservoir 16 is convex and reflects the indentations of the multi dome shaped forms. The outside surface 38 of the left reservoir 16 extends upward and is machine threaded to allow contact of left closure cap 20. The inside surface 40 of the left reservoir 16 extends upward and has a smooth surface.
The right closure cap 18, as shown in
The left closure cap 20, as shown in
The bottom reservoir 22, as shown in
Although illustrated and described herein with reference to specific embodiments, the present invention nevertheless is not intended to be limited to the details shown. Rather, various modifications may be effected in the details within the scope and range of equivalents of the claims without departing from the spirit of the invention.
Claims
