Strap on Mobile Laptop/Clipboard Platform

Disclosed is a small mobile platform that combines shoulder and waist straps for use with a mobile desk, for use while walking or standing. Attached to the small mobile platform are two O-shaped rings and two eyelets that, in turn, are attached to an adjustable strap. The mobile platform provides the wearer with freedom of movement while typing on the laptop or writing on the clipboard.

This application claims priority to U.S. Provisional Application 60/988,493 filed Nov. 16, 2007, the entire disclosure of which is incorporated by reference.

TECHNICAL FIELD AND BACKGROUND

The present invention relates to a mobile platform with four adjustable shoulder straps and waist straps generally attached to a mobile platform. The adjustable straps provide the a desk like device to connect to a user with options to determine variable adjustments for both a comfortable and secure fit. More specifically, the present invention provides a user with a mobile platform that is, for example, designed for mobile use of a laptop or notebook or writing on a clipboard while walking or standing.

This versatile design has been shown to allow the user the flexibility of using both hands to type on the laptop while walking or standing. The invention is also designed for use with a clipboard. The user may have one hand to write on the clipboard while having the other hand free for other purposes. The present invention is also used as a strap on mobile desk.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATIVE EMBODIMENTS

Various aspects of the illustrative embodiments will be described using terms commonly employed by those skilled in the art to convey the substance of their work to others skilled in the art. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced with only some of the described aspects. For purposes of explanation, specific numbers, materials and configurations are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the illustrative embodiments. However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known features are omitted or simplified in order not to obscure the illustrative embodiments.

Various operations will be described as multiple discrete operations, in turn, in a manner that is most helpful in understanding the present invention, however, the order of description should not be construed as to imply that these operations are necessarily order dependent. In particular, these operations need not be performed in the order of presentation.

The phrase “in one embodiment” is used repeatedly. The phrase generally does not refer to the same embodiment, however, it may. The terms “comprising”, “having” and “including” are synonymous, unless the context dictates otherwise.

Referring to FIG. 1, as in one embodiment is a perspective view of a strap on mobile laptop/clipboard platform 100. Shown is a platform 100 with a substantially square/four-sided shape. One of the edges of the four sides that rest against the front of the user includes an edge substantially terminated by a cylindrical material 10. Two of the four corners of the platform 100 have an O-shaped ring (O-ring) 22 and 23 attached thereto. Each of the two O-rings 22-23 are attached to an adjustable strap 32-33. The other two of the four corners have eyelets 20 and 21 which are attached to an adjustable strap 30-31. Each adjustable strap 30-33 includes an adjustable strap component 40-43. A right and a left strap extension 50-51 fit over each right and left shoulder of the user, respectively and connect to each other at a right strap extension user back end and a left strap extension user back end which is positioned on a user's back. The connection of the right strap extension user back end and the left strap extension user back end makes a generally U or V shape with the right and a left strap extensions being the legs of the U or V shape. The right shoulder extension strap 50 is connected to right side adjustable straps 30 and 32. Similarly, the left side shoulder extension straps are connected to the left side adjustable straps 31 and 33. The right shoulder strap extension 50 comprises D-shaped ring (D-rings) 60. Similarly, the left shoulder strap extension 51 comprises d-shaped ring 63.

Referring to FIG. 2, as in one embodiment is a back view showing the right shoulder strap extension 50 with adjustable strap 42 and the left shoulder strap 51 is shown with adjustable strap 43.

Referring to FIG. 3, as in one embodiment is a side view of the mobile platform 100. Shown is a platform 100, one of the edges of the four sides that rests against the front of the user comprises an edge substantially terminated by a cylindrical material 10. Shown are the O-shaped ring (O-ring) 22 and eyelet 20. Each adjustable strap 30-32 comprises an adjustable strap component only 40-41 are shown. A right and a left strap extension 50-51 fit over each right and left shoulder, respectively. The right shoulder extension strap 50 is connected to right side adjustable straps 30 and 32. Similarly, the left side shoulder extension straps only show a connection to the left side adjustable strap 31. The right shoulder strap extension 50 comprises a D-shaped ring (D-ring) 60.

FIG. 4, as in one embodiment is a side view of the mobile platform 100 similar to FIG. 3. FIG. 4 illustrates the mobile platform 100 holding a laptop/clipboard 70.

While the present invention has been related in terms of the foregoing embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described. The present invention can be practiced with modification and alteration within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Thus, the description is to be regarded as illustrative instead of restrictive on the present invention.

Claims

1. A mobile platform with adjustable straps comprising:

a platform that is substantially flat with straps arranged so the mobile platform is accessible to a front of a user.

2. The mobile platform of claim 1 wherein the mobile platform is designed for use with a laptop or notebook.

3. The mobile platform of claim 2 wherein the mobile platform is designed for use while walking or standing.

4. The mobile platform of claim 3 wherein the mobile platform is designed to provide use of both hands to type on the laptop or notebook.

5. The mobile platform of claim 4 wherein the mobile platform is designed to provide use of both hands to type while having the freedom to be mobile.

6. The mobile platform of claim 5 wherein the mobile platform has adjustable waist straps.

7. The mobile platform of claim 6 wherein the mobile platform has adjustable shoulder straps.

8. A small mobile platform with adjustable straps comprising:

a platform that is substantially flat with adjustable straps that are arranged so that the mobile platform is accessible to a front of a user, a right and a left strap extension over a right and left shoulder of the user that connect to each other at a right strap extension user back end and a left strap extension user back end which is positioned on the user's back.

9. The small mobile platform of claim 8 wherein the mobile platform is designed for use with a clipboard.

10. The small mobile platform of claim 9 wherein the mobile platform is designed for use while walking or standing.

11. The small mobile platform of claim 10 wherein the mobile platform is designed to provide use of both hands to type on the laptop or notebook.

12. The small mobile platform of claim 11 wherein the mobile platform is designed to provide use of both hands to type while having the freedom to be mobile.

13. The small mobile platform of claim 8 wherein the straps include adjustable waist straps.

14. The small mobile platform of claim 8 wherein the straps include adjustable shoulder straps.

15. A small mobile platform with adjustable straps comprising:

a platform, the platform is substantially flat and the adjustable straps are arranged and positioned so that the mobile platform is accessible to a front of a user, two of four corners of the platform have an O-shaped ring attached, each of the two O-rings are attached to first adjustable straps, the other two of the four corners have eyelets which are attached to second adjustable straps, each adjustable strap has an adjustable strap component, a right and a left strap extension that fit over each right and left shoulder of a user, the right shoulder extension strap is connected to right side adjustable straps, the left side shoulder extension straps are connected to the left side adjustable straps, the right shoulder strap extension include a D-shaped ring, the left shoulder strap extension include a D-shaped ring, a user end of the platform rests against a front of the user and has cylindrical material to cushion the contact between the platform and the user.

16. The small mobile platform of claim 15 wherein the mobile platform is designed for use with a strap on mobile laptop desk.

17. The small mobile platform of claim 16 wherein the mobile platform is designed for use while walking or standing.

18. The small mobile platform of claim 17 wherein the mobile platform is designed to provide use of both hands to type.

19. The small mobile platform of claim 18 wherein the mobile platform is designed to provide use of both hands to type while having the freedom to be mobile.

20. The small mobile platform of claim 19 wherein the mobile platform includes adjustable waist and shoulder straps.
