The present invention relates to room-heating panel blocks, particularly edge panel blocks, for laying a heating tube in a floor of a room. When installing a heating tube in a floor, panel blocks are laid underneath the heating tube to fix the tube in position in a groove or grooves formed therein. As the tube is laid in a zigzag winding manner, there arises a need to make the panel blocks suited for a straight portions of the heating tube as well as for the bent portions of the heating tube, and the present invention relates to the panel blocks for use at the bent, or edge, portions of the heating tube and the production process thereof.
BACKGROUND ARTConventionally, to lay a heating tube in a floor of a room, a panel with a zigzag winding groove was laid in a floor, and a tube was laid in the zigzag winding groove. However, the various widths and lengths of the floor presented a problem and inconvenience in fixing a tube in the panel groove at the edge portions of the tube laid in a zigzag winding manner.
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION Technical ProblemThe object of the present invention is to solve the problem of difficulty and inconvenience in the conventional art in laying a heating tube in a room heating panel in a floor at the edge portions of a heating tube resulting from various widths and lengths of a floor. To achieve the said object in the present invention, in laying a long heating tube in the floor of a room with regular intervals between the zigzag tube lines, rectangular panel blocks at the edge portions of a room are provided in such a way that the panel blocks at one side edge portions are formed with a U-shaped groove and the panel blocks at the other side edge portions are formed with both a U-shaped groove and a straight groove.
The panel blocks in the present invention are laid horizontally at the edge portions in the floor to be heated and are connected with the other panel blocks laid in the central portions of the floor taking care that the grooves in the edge panel blocks align with the grooves of the panel blocks in the central portions of the floor. Then the odd edges, if any, of the edge panel blocks are cut off to trim the edge panel blocks as desired. By doing so, the grooves in the edge panel blocks and the grooves of the panel blocks in the central portions of the floor are connected in good alignment forming a groove in a zigzag form so that a long heating tube can be laid conveniently in a zigzag manner in the groove. Then a finishing material, such as a wooden panel or a marble stone plate is laid on top of the tube and the panel blocks.
In the present invention, heat emitted from the heating tube is transmitted upwards through a heat transmitting plate, and part of the heat is stored in a heat storage layer and part of the heat is radiated upward. The amount of heat radiation through the heat storage layer varies hour by hour, but the room is heated with a fairly consistent temperature.
Moreover, the loss of heat downwards is prevented by the heat insulating layer thereby increasing the amount of heat radiated from the heating tube.
Furthermore, the panel blocks in the present invention makes it easy to lay a heating tube at the edges of the floor, increasing the efficiency in laying a heating tube, increasing the utility of heat energy, and maximizing the effectiveness of room heating.

In a similar way, edge panel blocks (1b) for the other side of the floor are provided, each formed with a heat insulating layer (3), a heat transmitting plate (4) and a heat storage layer (5), wherein a U-shaped groove (2b) is provided with a depth of the thickness of the heat storage layer (5) plus half the diameter of the heating tube (P) into the heat insulating layer (3) in such a way that the ends of the groove (2b) may be aligned with the ends of the grooves of the adjacent central panel block (1). In addition, the edge panel block (1b) is also provided with a straight groove (2c) behind the U-shaped groove (2b) in such a way that the ends of the groove (2c) may be aligned with the ends of the adjacent panel block. The edge panel block (1a) on one side of the floor and the edge panel block (1b) on the other side of the floor consist of a set of edge panel blocks (1a, 1b) in the present invention.
Into the grooves (2, 2a, 2b, 2c) of the panel blocks (1, 1a, 1b), a heating tube of a certain length with bent portions in a zigzag form is inserted, then, without undergoing horizontality work, a finishing material, such as a wooden panel or a marble stone plate can be layed upon the heat storage layer (5). The present invention thus relates to the edge panel blocks (1a, 1b) for room heating.
Besides, supports (3a) are built where needed in the heat insulating layer (3) to reinforce and maintain its balance as seen in
The construction process of laying the central straight panel blocks (1) and the edge panel blocks (1a, 1b) as a set of panel blocks for room heating, aimed at achieving the object of the present invention, is explained as follows.

in a similar way as in the above, edge panel blocks (1b) are provided wherein a heat insulating layer (3), a heat transmitting plate (4) and a heat storage layer (5) are formed, a U-shaped groove (2b) is formed with a depth equivalent to the thickness of the heat storage layer (5) plus halfway into the thickness of the heat insulating layer (3) in such a way that the ends of the groove of the edge panel block may align with the ends of the grooves of the adjacent panel block, said edge panel block (1a) and edge panel block (1b) forming a set of edge panel blocks,
then a heating tube (P) of a certain length with bent portions of a zigzag form is inserted in the grooves (2, 2a, 2b, 2c) of said panel blocks (1, 1a, 1b), and then a finishing material (6) is laid on the heat storage layer (5).
Advantageous EffectsIn the present invention, the edge panel blocks are formed each with a U-shaped groove that are connected with the straight grooves formed in the straight panel blocks laid in the central portion of the floor, making it easy to lay a long heating tube in the grooves beginning with an edge panel block in a corner of the floor and moving through the panel blocks one by one. Then, after finishing laying the heating tube, a finishing material, such as an wooden panel or panels and a marble stone plate or plates can be laid on top of the tube conveniently and efficiently.
Using the edge panel blocks, the heating tube can be laid easily and neatly.
According to the floor space of the room to be heated, room heating apparatus of a desired size may be constructed using the edge panel blocks and the central straight panel blocks.
Furthermore, the heat radiated from the heating tube spreads in all directions through the heat transmitting plate, some of the heat being stored in the heat storage layer, maintaining the room heating temperature fairly steadily despite the hourly changes of the temperature radiated from the heating tube, and some of the heat radiated is radiated directly outward contributing to efficient room heating, thus producing various room heating effects.
