BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

Hereinafter, a first embodiment of an ornament of the present invention will be described in detail.

The ornament 1a of this embodiment is made of metal and includes, as shown in FIG. 1, an elliptic cylindrical main body 2a, a decorated portion 3 fitted to the front face of the main body 2a, and a small accessory hanging ring 4 formed at the lower end of the main body 2a.

The main body 2a has openings 21 and 22 at both upper and lower ends. The inside dimension of the main body 2a is greater than the width of a belt loop T1 sewn on a dress as a fitting portion to which the main body is fitted and the length of the main body 2a is substantially equal size of the belt loop T1. At one of the both sides of the main body 2a, a slit-like attaching opening 23a is formed in order to communicate with the openings 21 and 22 at the upper and lower ends as well as the inside of the main body 2a. The attaching opening 23a is formed in a width slightly greater than a thickness of a belt loop T1 sewn on the dress so as to allow the belt loop T1 to be inserted into the main body 2a. At each ends of the attaching opening 23a, a hook like stopper portion 24a projecting inside the main body 2a is formed.

The decorated portion 3 is composed of a decorative designed pattern and directly provided on the front face of the main body 2a.

As shown in FIG. 3, the small accessory hanging ring 4 is provided at the lower end of the front face side of the main body 2a, in which a hook F holding, for example, a key holder or fashion chain can be loaded and unloaded.

Hereupon, a method for producing the ornament 1a is illustrated. Firstly, a tubular member having, for example, a circular sectional shape is pressed diametrically to be formed into a shape of elliptic cross section, and then a side of the tubular member is cut a longitudinal slit by using a laser beam or the like. Thereafter, the tubular member is cut off in a predetermined length respectively. In this way, cylinder tubes of elliptical cross section are made from the tubular member, each cylinder tubes having openings 21 and 22 on both ends, i.e. upper and lower ends as well as a slit-like attaching opening 23a on its one side. Next, the respective inside edges of the attaching opening 23a of the cylinder tube are deformed inwardly to form a pair of hook-like projecting stopper portions 24a. Thereafter, the respective front face of the cylindrical tubes is provided with a decorative portion 3 having a pattern such as a cut pattern or see-through pattern by using a laser beam or cutting tool, etc. Thus, the main body 2a is produced. Then, a small accessory hanging ring 4 formed by press forming is fixed to the lower end of the main body 2a by means of spot welding or the like.

Next, a process of attaching the ornament 1a of this embodiment to a belt loop T1 of a dress is described. At first, as shown in FIG. 2, the attaching opening 23a is arranged at the side of belt loop T1 so that the decorated portion 3 appears on the front side. Secondary, the belt loop T1 is inserted into the main body 2a through the attaching opening 23a of the ornament 1a to attach the ornament 1a to the belt loop T1. Lastly, as shown in FIG. 3, a hook F of a key holder or fashion chain is latched with the small accessory hanging ring 4.

As detailed above, according to the ornament 1a of this embodiment, the attaching opening 23a is formed on the side surface of the main body 2a, so that even without forming an attaching part for attaching the main body on the dress side, the ornament can be easily attached to the belt loop T1 of the dress through the attaching opening 23a.

In addition, the decorated portion 3 is provided on the front face of the main body 2a, so that by decorating the front face of the belt loop T1 by the decorated portion 3, the atmosphere of the dress can be easily changed, and according to the clothing, the ornament can be exchanged.

In addition, the decorated portion 3 is integrally formed on the main body 2a, so that the sense of unity of the decorated portion 3 with the main body 2a is great, and the design performance is excellent, and the decorated portion 3 can be prevented from falling off and from being lost. The structure is simple and easily formed, and the number of parts is small, so that the production thereof is easy.

Furthermore, since the attaching opening 23a is formed on the side surface of the main body 2a, the belt loop T1 is easily conducted to the inside of the attaching opening 23a and attached thereto. In addition, the attaching opening 23a is hardly noticeable at first glance and is excellent in design performance. Furthermore, at the attaching opening 23a, a hook-like stopper portion 24a is formed, so that the ornament 1a can be reliably prevented from falling out of the belt loop T1.

In addition, the small accessory hanging ring 4 is formed at the lower end of the main body 2a, so that a hook F of, for example, a key holder or fashion chain can be easily attached to the ornament 1a with the small accessory hanging ring 4. A small accessory or the like is held on the belt loop T1 of the dress through the ornament 1a, so that a hook F smaller than the width of the belt loop T1 is conveniently to be hung, the loads of the small fashion accessories being dispersed. The cloth of the belt loop T1 can be effectively discouraged from being damaged. In addition, a user can enjoy varied fashions due to the synergistic action of the ornament 1a and the small accessory or the like attached to the ornament 1a.

The ornament 1a is made of metal to be excellent in durability as well as in appearance due to luster and texture unique to the metal.

Without limiting to the lower end of the main body 2a, it is also possible that the small accessory hanging ring 4 is formed on a side surface of the main body 2a. The small accessory hanging ring 4 is not limited to the annular shape but may be formed into a hook shape. In this way, it becomes possible to attach small accessory without having any hook F to the small accessory hanging ring 4.

Next, other embodiments of the ornament of the present invention will be described in order with reference to FIG. 4 through FIG. 8. The component identical to that in the first embodiment is attached with the same reference numeral and detailed description thereof is omitted.

An ornament 1b of a second embodiment comprises a main body 2b formed into an angular cylindrical shape having substantially a rectangular sectional shape as shown in FIG. 4, and in a side surface of the main body 2b, a slit-like attaching opening 23a which communicates with openings 21 and 22 on both upper and lower ends and communicates with the inside of the main body 2b, is formed by bending. On the front face of the main body 2b, a decorated portion is formed although it is not shown.

According to the ornament 1b of this embodiment, in addition to the above-described effects, the attaching opening 3b is formed in a bent manner in one side surface of the main body 2b, so that the ornament 1b hardly falls off the belt loop T1. Therefore, the stopper portion 24a as in the case of the ornament 1a may not be formed, and the production process can be simplified. The front face of the main body 2b is flat, so that the decorated portion is easily formed.

An ornament 1c of a third embodiment comprises a main body 2c formed substantially into an elliptic shape in a plan view as shown in FIG. 5, and in the back face of the main body 2c, an attaching opening 23c which communicates with openings 21 and 22 on both upper and lower ends and communicates with the inside of the main body 2c is formed. The attaching opening 23c has an opening width which becomes narrow on both upper and lower ends of the main body 2c and becomes wide on the vertically middle portion of the main body 2c.

According to the ornament 1c of this third embodiment, in addition to the above-described effects, the opening width of the attaching opening 23c is narrow only on both upper and lower ends of the main body 2c and is wide on the middle portion of the main body 2c, so that the ornament is easily attached to and detached from a belt loop of a dress. The attaching opening 23c hardly appears, so that it is excellent in appearance. Furthermore, a large opening area of the attaching opening 23c is enabled to make it more weight-saving.

An ornament 1d of a fourth embodiment has a main body 2d formed substantially into an elliptic shape in a plan view as shown in FIG. 6, and in the main body 2d, an attaching opening 23d which communicates with openings 21 and 22 on both upper and lower ends and communicates with the inside of the main body 2a is formed. The attaching opening 23d is formed into a slit shape in a side surface of the main body 2d on the upper end of the main body 2d and similarly formed into a slit shape in the other side surface of the main body 2d on the lower end of the main body 2d, and formed in the entire back face of the main body 2d at the vertically middle portion of the main body 2d. The attaching opening 23d is provided with a hook-like stopper portion 24d formed by being folded back to the inside of the main body 2d on the upper and lower ends of the main body 2d.

According to the ornament 1d of this embodiment, in addition to the above-described effects, portions with a narrow opening width of the attaching opening 23d are formed in left and right opposed side surfaces, respectively, on the upper end and lower end of the main body 2d, so that the ornament is easily attached to and detached from the belt loop T1 of a dress. In addition, the portions with a narrow opening width of the attaching opening 23d are formed only on the upper and lower ends of the main body 2d, and the opening width of the attaching opening is wide at the middle portion of the main body 2d, so that the ornament is more easily attached to and detached from the belt loop T1 of a dress. In addition, a large opening area of the attaching opening 23d is enabled to make it more weight-saving.

In the ornaments 1a through 1d of the above-described embodiments, the decorated portion 3 is provided on the front face of each of the main bodies 2a through 2d, however, the decorated portion 3 is provided at any position as long as the position can be visually recognized from the outside when the ornament is attached to a belt loop of a dress. That is, the position where the decorated portion 3 is provided preferably includes the front face of each of the main bodies 2a through 2d, however, without limiting to this, it can be provided only on a side surface of the main body 2a. It is convenient that a decorated portion with the same pattern as that of the decorated portion 3 on the front face is provided on the back faces of the main bodies 2a through 2d since the ornament can be attached to the belt loop T1 without checking to see which is front side of its main body 2a, and if a decorated portion with a pattern different from that of the decorated portion 3 on the front face is provided on the back face of the main body 2a, two kinds of decorative patterns are enjoyable depending on the fashion.

In the ornaments 1a through 1d of the above-described embodiments, the decorated portion 3 is integrally formed on the main bodies 2a through 2d, however, the invention is not limited to this.

In an ornament 1e of a fifth embodiment, as shown in FIG. 7, a decorative member 5e as a decorated portion 3 provided with a decorative pattern on its surface is formed discretely on the main body 2e. The surface of the main body 2e and the back surface of the decorative member 5e are provided with a magnetic material respectively, and by magnetic attraction, the decorative member 5e is detachably attached to the main body 2e. In this way, a user can enjoy two usage patterns of a state that the decorative member 5e is attached to the main body 2e and a state that it is detached, and the decorative member can be exchanged with another decorative member with a different design, so that the user can enjoy many kinds of fashionable variations.

In addition, the means for attaching the decorated portion to the main body is not limited to the magnetic attraction, but can be used another means.

An ornament 1f of a sixth embodiment comprises, as shown in FIG. 8, a main body 2f forming a slide rail 6 on its surface and a decorative member 5f formed separately from the main body 2f, which is provided with a decorative pattern that is not shown on its surface and forms a fitting groove 7 on its back surface, in which the slide rail 6 can be detachably accommodated into the fitting groove 7. Herein, on the lower end of the slide rail 6, a projection 8 is projectedly provided so as to prevent the decorative member 5f from falling off the main body 2f, and on the lower end of the decorative member 5f, an engaging groove 9 which engages with the projection 8 is formed.

An ornament 1g of a seventh embodiment comprises, as shown in FIG. 9, an elliptic cylindrical main body 2a and a decorated portion 3 provided on the front face of the main body 2a without forming such a small accessory hanging ring 4 as formed in the ornament 1a.

Besides, without limiting to a belt loop formed on pants, skirts, or the like, the ornaments 1a through 1g can also be attached to a belt loop formed on a coat or one-piece dress. Furthermore, those ornaments can also be attached to, for example, a belt loop provided on a belt itself or a bag, shoes, or the like including belt designs as well as belt loops of clothing. Furthermore, they those can be attached to, as shown in FIG. 10(a), a pendant top T2 which is plate-shaped and has a base end attached to a chain of a necklace and becomes wide on its tip end, to a necklace T3 having stoppers at the central portion in the longitudinal direction as shown in FIG. 10(b), or to an outer periphery of a bracelet T4 formed annularly as shown in FIG. 10(c), and can easily change the aesthetic appearances and the styles of these pendant top T2, necklace T3, and bracelet T4.

Also, the ornaments 1a through 1g are not limited to being metal-made, and their material is not especially limited as long as the material has an appropriate hardness which enables the material to be formed into a predetermined shape and attached to a belt loop of clothing. Therefore, for example, they may be made of a synthetic resin, ceramic, wood, paper, leather, or the like. Metal plating can be applied to the surface of the base material made of a synthetic resin. Particularly, if the ornament is made of a synthetic resin, its material cost is low and mass production by using injection molding or the like is possible, so that a large amount of ornaments can be supplied at a low price. In addition, it is effectively made more weight-saving and its easy and simplicity of operation.

Further, if the ornaments 1a through 1g are made of an elastically deformable material, even when the opening widths of the attaching opening 23a through 23f are narrower than the thickness of a fitting portion, the main bodies 2a through 2f can be attached to the fitting portion by widely opening the attaching openings 23a through 23f, so that the attaching performance is excellent. Furthermore, if they are made of a soft material, even when the fitting portion is curved or bent, they can be attached to the fitting portion along the shape of the fitting portion, so that the attaching performance is more excellent.
