GLOVE
A glove includes a glove main body in which a back-side inner skin and a palm-side inner skin are fixed to a back-side outer skin and a palm-side outer skin, respectively, and a band which is provided on the glove main body for receiving and supporting a back of a hand along a width direction of the hand. The band is located at a space from a wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin. The back-side inner skin includes a folded-back portion exposed from the space.
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a glove used for baseball.
2. Description of the Related Art
When the glove is used, a hand is inserted into the inner bag from the insertion opening 204. The back side of the insertion opening 204 is formed by a band 205 provided on the back-side outer skin 201. The band 205 receives and supports a back of a hand along a width direction of the hand inserted from the insertion opening 204.
According to such a glove, a wrist-side end 206 is formed by sewing a wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin 201 and a wrist-side end of the back-side inner skin 203 to each other, and the band 205 is located at a space SC from the wrist-side end 206. A region in the inner bag closer to the fingertips than the wrist-side end 206 is a finger-insertion region RC, and roots of fingers inserted into the finger-insertion region RC are exposed from the space SC.
Partitions 207 are formed in the finger-insertion region RC between each of the inserted fingers. The partitions 207 are formed by the back-side inner skin 203, and extend toward the fingertips along the side surfaces of the fingers from the wrist-side end 206.
In the conventional glove like the one mentioned above, however, since the partitions 207 do not extend to the roots of the fingers, some users cannot have sufficient fit feeling.
It is contemplated to change the shapes of the back-side outer skin 201 and the back-side inner skin 203, to move the wrist-side end 206 to the wrist so that the partitions 207 are extended to the roots of the fingers. However, if the back-side outer skin 201 which is harder than the back-side inner skin 203 is extended to the wrist, there is a problem that the space SC becomes smaller and a freedom degree of an inserted hand is deteriorated.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention has been accomplished in view of the above circumstances, and it is an object of the invention to provide a glove offering more excellent fit feeling.
To achieve the above object, a first aspect of the present invention provides a glove comprising:
a glove main body in which a back-side inner skin and a palm-side inner skin are fixed to a back-side outer skin and a palm-side outer skin, respectively, and
a band which is provided on the glove main body for receiving and supporting a back of a hand along a width direction of the hand,
wherein
the band is located at a space from a wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin, and
the back-side inner skin includes a folded-back portion exposed from the space.
According to this structure, the folded-back portion of the back-side inner skin exposed from the space between the band and the wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin abuts against a back side of an inserted hand. With this, the back-side inner skin can abut against a wider range of the hand and thus, more excellent fit feeling can be obtained. If the back-side inner skin is made of material which is softer than that of the back-side outer skin, it is possible to prevent the freedom degree of a hand from being deteriorated.
If the folded-back portion of the back-side inner skin exposed to the space between the band and the wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin is colored or patterned, design can be enhanced.
It is preferable that a root of the folded-back portion is fixed to a wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin.
With this structure, it is possible to easily change the length of the folded-back portion by adjusting the fixing position between the root of the folded-back portion and the wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin. Therefore, if the length of the folded-back portion is appropriately adjusted in accordance with a user's preferences of the glove, it is possible to obtain fit feeling optimal for each user.
It is preferable that the folded-back portion extends to roots of fingers inserted between the back-side inner skin and the palm-side inner skin.
With this structure, the back-side inner skin can abut against portions of the hand from the fingertips to roots of the fingers inserted between the back-side inner skin and the palm-side inner skin. Therefore, it is possible to give appropriate holding force to the entire fingers and to obtain more excellent fit feeling.
It is preferable that the back-side inner skin includes a plurality of partitions formed between fingers, respectively, and the partitions extend to roots of the fingers.
With this structure, fingers are inserted between the opposed partitions, and both side surfaces of each finger can abut against the partition from the fingertip to the root and thus, it is possible to give appropriate holding force to the entire fingers and to obtain more excellent fit feeling.
It is preferable that the glove further comprises a band body which is mounted on the folded-back portion and which can be pulled in a width direction of a hand with respect to the glove main body.
With this structure, it is possible to adjust the pressing force of the folded-back portion with respect to the fingers by pulling the band body with respect to the glove main body in the width direction of the hand, and it is possible to obtain more excellent fit feeling.
To achieve the above object, the second aspect of the invention provides a glove comprising
a glove main body in which a back-side inner skin and a palm-side inner skin are fixed to a back-side outer skin and a palm-side outer skin, respectively, wherein
the back-side outer skin extends to a wrist, and
the back-side inner skin includes a folded-back portion which is exposed from a wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin toward the wrist.
With this structure, the folded-back portion of the back-side inner skin exposed from the wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin toward the wrist abuts against the wrist of the inserted hand. With this, the back-side inner skin can abut against a wider range of the hand and thus, more excellent fit feeling can be obtained. If the back-side inner skin is made of material which is softer than that of the back-side outer skin, it is possible to prevent the freedom degree of a hand from being deteriorated.
Further, the folded-back portion of the back-side inner skin exposed from the wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin toward the wrist is colored or patterned, design can be enhanced.
It is preferable that the glove further includes a band body which is mounted on the folded-back portion and which can be pulled in a width direction of a hand with respect to the glove main body.
With this structure, it is possible to adjust the pressing force of the folded-back portion against the wrist by pulling the band body with respect to the glove main body in the width direction of the hand, it is possible to obtain more excellent fit feeling.
Preferred embodiments of a glove according to the present invention will be explained.
According to the glove, two inner skins (a back-side inner skin 11 and a palm-side inner skin 12) are sewed and fixed to a back-side outer skin 7 and a palm-side outer skin 8 respectively of a glove main body 2 with a string (not shown).
When the glove is used, as shown with a phantom line in
One end of the band 4 is mounted on the glove main body 2, and the other end is detachably attached to the glove main body 2 using a device such as a hook-and-loop fastener. Therefore, it is possible to change a pressing force of the band 4 against a back of a hand by adjusting the mounting position of the other end of the band 4 with respect to the glove main body 2.
A wrist-side end 14 is formed by sewing a wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin 7 and a wrist-side end of the back-side inner skin 11 to each other. The wrist-side end 14 is located at a space SA from the band 4. A region between the back-side inner skin 11 and the palm-side inner skin 12 closer to the fingers than the wrist-side end 14 is a finger-insertion region RA. Roots of fingers inserted into the finger-insertion region RA are exposed from the space SA.
Partitions 15 are formed in the finger-insertion region RA between inserted fingers. The partitions 15 are formed by the back-side inner skin 11, and the partitions 15 extend along the side surfaces of the fingers.
A thumb loop 21 is provided on a palm-side inner skin 12 at a location corresponding to a thumb. The thumb loop 21 is formed into a band-like shape, one end thereof is sewed and fixed to the palm-side inner skin 12, and the other end of the thumb loop 21 is a free end. The free end of the thumb loop 21 is bifurcated into two band bodies 21a and 21b extending in parallel to each other. The band bodies 21a and 21b pass through insertion holes 17 formed in the back-side inner skin 11.
In a state where the fingers are inserted between the back-side inner skin 11 and the palm-side inner skin 12, the thumb loop 21 is wound around the thumb and pulled outward along the width direction of the hand. The band bodies 21a and 21b of the thumb loop 21 penetrate the back-side outer skin 7 and reach outside of the glove main body 2. The fit feeling of the thumb can be enhanced by tightly tying the band bodies 21a and 21b together and pulling the band bodies 21a and 21b.
Similarly, a band-like little finger loop 22 is provided on the palm-side inner skin 12 at a location corresponding to a little finger. One end of the little finger loop 22 is sewed and fixed to the palm-side inner skin 12, and the other end of the little finger loop 22 is a free end. The free end of the little finger loop 22 is bifurcated into two band bodies 22a and 22b extending in parallel to each other, and the band bodies 22a and 22b pass through insertion holes 18 formed in the back-side inner skin 11.
In a state where the fingers are inserted between the back-side inner skin 11 and the palm-side inner skin 12, the little finger loop 22 is wound around the little finger and pulled outward along the width direction of the hand. The band bodies 22a and 22b of the little finger loop 22 penetrate the back-side outer skin 7 and reach outside (not shown) of the glove main body 2. The fit feeling of the thumb can be enhanced by tightly tying the band bodies 22a and 22b together and pulling the band bodies 22a and 22b.
As shown in
With this structure, the folded-back portion 16 of the back-side inner skin 11 is exposed from the space SA between the wrist-side end 14 and the band 4, and the folded-back portion 16 abuts against a back side of an inserted hand. With this, since the back-side inner skin 11 can abut against a wider range of the hand, more excellent fit feeling can be obtained. If the back-side inner skin 11 is made of softer material than that of the back-side outer skin 7, it is possible to prevent the freedom degree of a hand from being deteriorated.
If the folded-back portion 16 of the back-side inner skin 11 exposed to the space SA between the wrist-side end 14 and the band 4 is colored or patterned, design can be enhanced.
Since the fixing portion 16a constituting the root of the folded-back portion 16 is fixed to the wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin 7, the length of the folded-back portion 16 can easily be changed by adjusting the fixing position between the fixing portion 16a and the wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin 7. Therefore, if the length of the folded-back portion 16 is appropriately adjusted in accordance with a user's preferences of the glove, it is possible to obtain fit feeling optimal for each user.
As shown in
With this, the back-side inner skin 11 can abut against the fingers so as to surround portions of a hand inserted into the finger-insertion region RA from fingertips to roots of the hand by the folded-back portion 16 of the back-side inner skin 11 and the partitions 15. Therefore, it is possible to give an appropriate hold force to the entire fingers and to obtain more excellent fit feeling.
The band bodies 23 penetrate the back-side outer skin 7 and reach outside (not shown) of the glove main body 2, and if the band bodies 23 are pulled from outside, the band bodies 23 are pulled in the width direction of a hand with respect to the glove main body 2. The band bodies 23 may directly pass through the back-side outer skin 7 without passing through the back-side inner skin 11. The number of the band bodies 23 mounted on the folded-back portion 16 is not limited to two, and the number may be one or three or more.
By pulling the band bodies 23 in the width direction of a hand with respect to the glove main body 2, a pressing force of the folded-back portion 16 against the fingers can be adjusted. Therefore, more excellent fit feeling can be obtained. The band bodies 23 may previously be mounted on the folded-back portion 16 or a user may mount the band bodies 23 at a later stage if necessary.
Another EmbodimentIn this example, the folded-back portion 16 of the back-side inner skin 11 is not provided only at a position opposed to roots of three fingers, i.e., an index finger, a middle finger and a ring finger unlike the previous example shown in
The number of fingers opposed to the folded-back portion 16 is not limited to three, and the number may be four, two or less, or five.
Another EmbodimentIn this glove, two inner skins (back-side inner skin 111 and palm-side inner skin 112) are sewed and fixed to a back-side outer skin 107 and a palm-side outer skin 108 of a glove main body 102, respectively, with strings (not shown).
When this glove is used, a hand is inserted from an insertion opening 113 as shown with a phantom line in
The back-side outer skin 107 and the back-side inner skin 111 are formed at openings, respectively, at locations corresponding to an index finger of a hand inserted from the insertion opening 113. Peripheral edges of the openings are sewed with each other, and a space SB is formed at a location opposed to the index finger.
The wrist-side end 114 formed by sewing the wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin 107 and the wrist-side end of the back-side inner skin 111 is opposed to a wrist of a hand inserted from the insertion opening 113. In this embodiment, a folded-back portion 116 is formed so as to be exposed on the side of the wrist from the wrist-side end 114.
The folded-back portion 116 is formed by folding back the back-side inner skin 111 extending from the insertion opening 113 toward the wrist outside at a location projecting from the wrist-side end 114. A root of the folded-back portion 116 is further folded back outside to form a fixing portion 116a. An end of the fixing portion 116a is sewed and fixed to a wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin 107, and the wrist-side end 114 is formed.
With this structure, the folded-back portion 116 of the back-side inner skin 111 exposed on the side of a wrist from the wrist-side end 114 abuts against a wrist of an inserted hand. With this, the back-side inner skin 111 can abut against a wider range of the hand and thus, more excellent fit feeling can be obtained. If the back-side inner skin 111 is made of softer material than that of the back-side outer skin 107, it is possible to prevent the freedom degree of a hand from being deteriorated.
If the folded-back portion 116 of the back-side inner skin 111 exposed on the side of the wrist from the wrist-side end 114 is colored or patterned, design can be enhanced.
Since the fixing portion 116a constituting the root of the folded-back portion 116 is fixed to the wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin 107, the length of the folded-back portion 116 can easily be changed by adjusting the fixing position between the fixing portion 116a and the wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin 107. Therefore, if the length of the folded-back portion 116 is appropriately adjusted in accordance with a user's preferences of the glove, it is possible to obtain fit feeling optimal for each user.
According to this embodiment, like the example shown in
Each band body 123 passes through the insertion hole 119, which is formed on the back-side outer skin 107, and reaches outside of the glove main body 2, and the band bodies 123 can be pulled against the glove main body 102 in the width direction of a hand by pulling the band bodies 123 from outside. The number of the band bodies 123 mounted on the folded-back portion 116 is not limited to two, and the number may be one or three or more.
The pressing force of the folded-back portion 116 against the wrist can be adjusted by pulling the band bodies 123 against the glove main body 102 in the width direction of a hand in this manner. Therefore, more excellent fit feeling can be obtained. The band bodies 123 may previously mounted on the folded-back portion 116 or a user may mount the band bodies 123 at a later stage if necessary.
Although the folded-back portions 18 and 118 are respectively provided on the back-side inner skins 11 and 111 of the open type grove (regular type glove) and the fully-closed type glove (first back type glove) for baseball in the above embodiments, the present invention can also be applied to various other gloves.
The present invention is not limited to a glove for baseball, and can also be applied to other gloves for other ball games such as softball.
