An inter-active pillow for children comprised of three fabric pieces sewn together to form the body of the pillow and a pocket in back. A pillow insert with fabric casing and polyester fiberfill to be inserted inside the pillow. Additionally, four pieces of Velcro will be sewn to the front of the pillow to accommodate one pair of eyes, one nose, and one mouth. Included with the pillow will also be six pairs of eyes, six noses, and six mouths, all in various sizes, shapes and colors with Velcro sewn to the back side of each piece, making faces inter-changeable. The pocket on the back of pillow will be used to store extra face pieces, along with overnight items. The pocket opening may contain closure means such as Velcro, snaps, or zippers to secure pocket in a closed position.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a novelty pillow designed for children with inter-changeable face pieces such as, but not limited to, eyes, nose and mouth. This pillow also has a pocket on back for storing extra face pieces, books toys and overnight items.

2. Brief Summary of the Invention

This invention relates to pillows, or more specifically to a childs novelty pillow, which has inter-changeable face pieces held on with Velcro. This pillow also has a pocket on the reverse side that can be secured closed with Velcro to hold extra face pieces, various toys, books, or overnight items.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a view showing the front side of pillow with Velcro sewn on four different places about the face for placement of eyes, nose and mouth.

FIG. 2 is a view of the opposite (back) side of pillow with Velcro being attached at center for securing the back pocket closed. Also showing the pocket to be the full width of pillow, and one half the height of the pillow with Velcro sewn along top of pocket piece, securing both pieces together.

FIG. 3 is a view of the back pocket with Velcro attached along the top the full width of pillow.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The pillow of this invention is generally illustrated in the drawings. It can be formed of any well known filler material, such as, but not limited to, polyester filling, feathers or foam.

The outer covers and pocket being of fleece, cotton, flannel or other soft fabric, that encapsulates the inner filling to outline the pillow, which could be of various shapes and sizes.

The front and back pieces with pocket in the middle of said pieces will be sewn along three sides, than turned inside out. Inside filler form would than be put in place and last seam sewn together. Velcro will be sewn at four different places on front of pillow, and Velcro will also be sewn on back piece in the center, and on pocket along the inside at the top. enabling to secure pocket in place.

Velcro would also be sewn to the reverse side of each facial feature, enabling it to be secured to Velcro on front of pillow.

Claims

1. A inter-active pillow for children comprised of:

three fabric panels sewn together, with panel one and panel two being of equal size, and panel three being one half the size of panels one and two. A pillow form made of fabric and inserted between panels one, two and three. Four Velcro pieces sewn on front of pillow to accommodate two eyes, a nose, and a mouth. Feature pieces made of fabric in various colors, shapes, and sizes, with Velcro sewn to the back of each feature, making features inter-changeable. Included with pillow will be six pairs of eyes, six noses and six mouths. Back of pillow will have panel three with suitable closure along top edge to align with middle of panel two.

2. The pillow according to claim 1, wherein pillow body will be of various colors.

3. The pillow according to claim 1, wherein features will be of various shapes, sizes and colors.

4. The pillow according to claim 1, inside pillow form outside casing to be of fabric with down filling.

5. The pillow according to claim 1, outside pocket to have Velcro closure.

6. The pillow according to claim 1, outside pillow casing to be of various fabrics, including, but not limited to cotton, fleece, silk.

7. The pillow according to claim 5, outside pocket to be used to store extra feature pieces.

8. The pillow according to claim 1, fabric will be flame retardant.

9. The pillow according to claim 1, closure on all sides will be sewn together.

10. The pillow according to claim 1, outside pocket to have zipper closure.
