Simply-Assembled Bath Chair

A simply assembled bath chair includes a seat, a backrest, two backrest support racks, and four chair legs. The seat has a bottom surface provided with two tube frames inserted by the chair legs, and four fixing bases inserted by the backrest support racks of the backrest. The connecting ends of the tube frames and the chair legs are correspondingly formed with a conical portion. Each of the connecting ends of the tube frames is sleeved with a first screwing member, while each of the connecting ends of the chair legs is sleeved with a second screwing member correspondingly screwed to the first screwing member. After the connecting ends of the tube frames and the chair legs are connected to each other, the second screwing member of the chair legs is screwed to the first screwing member of the tube frames, so that the chair legs are moved upward by the second screwing member. As a result, the connecting ends of the tube frames and the chair legs can be tightly matched with each other, so as to stabilize the support of the chair legs without any loosening or risk of shaking. When the seat, the backrest, the backrest support racks, and the chair legs are detached from and stacked with each other, the storage and transportation cost of the bath chair can be substantially reduced.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a bath chair, and more particularly to a simply-assembled bath chair having a seat, chair legs, a backrest, and backrest support racks, all of which can be detached from each other and simply assembled.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Traditionally, a bath chair must be designed not only for a user to conveniently use, but also for manufacturers and distributors to lower storage and transportation costs thereof. Meanwhile, the bath chair must be easily and simply assembled by the user, so that all components of the bath chair are generally designed to be detachable structures for providing a detachable assembling process and an easy operation. For example, U.S. Pat. No. 5,845,962 discloses a bath chair comprising chair legs, a backrest, and a seat, wherein the chair legs and the backrest can be folded inward and stacked with the seat, so that the occupied space of the bath chair can be substantially reduced, and the operation thereof can be more convenient. However, the folded structure of the bath chair is more complicated, resulting in increasing the manufacture cost thereof and lowering the business competitive advantage thereof.

Furthermore, US Pat. Pub. No. 2003-0102700A1 discloses a bath chair comprising a seat, a backrest, and four chair legs, wherein the seat is provided with connecting tubes, so that the four chair legs and backrest support racks of the backrest can insert into the connecting tubes. Each of the chair legs and the backrest support racks has an insertion end formed with a conical portion, while each of the connecting tubes is provided with an urging sleeve which corresponds to the conical portion and is matched therewith. Moreover, each of the chair legs has an upper end receiving a snapping member therein, while each of the corresponding connecting tubes is formed with a positioning hole which is matched with the snapping member. Thus, one inserting component and one corresponding inserted components can be not only tightly matched with each other by two corresponding conical portions, but also snapped with each other by the snapping member, so that the two corresponding components can be stably connected to each other.

However, although the US Pat. Pub. No. 2003-0102700A1 provides the assembling convenience of the bath chair, the insertion ends of the corresponding components are only connected to each other by the snapping member which provides limited connection strength. Especially, because the user may reciprocally lean against the backrest, a connection portion between the backrest and the seat can easily be loosened, resulting in causing a safety risk of the user.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A primary object of the present invention is to provide a simply-assembled bath chair to solve the problems of low stability and insufficient reliability existing in the assembling components of the conventional bath chair. The bath chair of the present invention comprises a seat having a bottom surface provided with tube frames and fixing bases for chair legs and backrest support racks to connect thereto. Each of connecting ends of the tube frames is formed with a conical portion which is correspondingly inserted to a conical portion formed on each of connecting ends of the chair legs. Meanwhile, each of the connecting ends of the tube frames is sleeved with a first screwing member, while an upper end of each of the corresponding chair legs is sleeved with a second screwing member which can be screwed to the first screwing member.

Furthermore, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, each of the connecting ends of the tube frames is formed with a concave positioning portion, while each of the corresponding connecting ends of the connecting ends of the chair legs is formed with a convex positioning portion which can be engaged with the concave positioning portion.

According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, when assembling the bath chair, the conical portions of the connecting ends of the tube frames are firstly connected to the conical portions of the connecting ends of the chair legs, respectively, and then the second screwing members of the chair legs are tightly screwed to the first screwing members of the tube frames, respectively. As a result, the chair legs are moved upward by the second screwing member, so that the chair legs and the tube frames will be tightly and stably connected to each other. In addition, the first and second screwing members are tightly screwed to each other, so as to maintain the connection between the chair legs and the seat without any loosening or shaking risk.

Moreover, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the corresponding convex positioning portions of the chair legs can be engaged with the concave positioning portions of the tube frames, respectively, so as to correctly align the chair legs with the tube frames when assembling the bath chair.

Besides, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the seat, the chair legs, the backrest, and the backrest support racks can be simply and easily assembled. In addition, after all components including the seat, the chair legs, the backrest, and the backrest support racks are detached from each other, the components can be stacked with each other, so as to substantially reduce the occupied space thereof and substantially lower the storage and transportation cost thereof.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring now to FIGS. 1 and 2, a simply assembled bath chair according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention is illustrated. As shown, the bath chair comprises a seat 1, a backrest 2, two backrest support racks 3, and four chair legs 4. The seat 1 has a bottom surface provided with two crossed tube frames 11 fixed thereon. Each of the tube frames 11 has two ends bent downward and defined as two connecting ends 12. Each of the connecting ends 12 is formed with a conical portion, and a distal end of each of the connecting ends 12 is formed with a concave positioning portion 13. Furthermore, each of the connecting ends 12 is sleeved with a first screwing member 14. Each of the two tube frames 11 has a front section and a back section, each of which is correspondingly provided with a fixing base 15 for a lower end of each of the backrest support racks 3 to insert thereto. Moreover, each of the two backrest support racks 3 has an upper end which is inserted to each of the two through holes 20 formed on two sides of a lower edge of the backrest 2, wherein each of the upper ends of the backrest support racks 3 is fastened to the backrest 2 by a screw from a back surface of the backrest 2.

In addition, each of the chair legs 4 comprises a leg tube 41 and a retractable tube 43, wherein the leg tube 41 can be inserted into the retractable tube 43 and retractably positioned in relation to the retractable tube 43. The leg tube 41 has an upper end defined as a connecting end 411, which is formed with a conical portion. The connecting end 411 is deformed inward to form a convex positioning portion 412, while a second screwing member 42 is sleeved on the connecting end 411 and can be freely rotated in relation to the connecting end 411. The conical portion of the connecting end 411 has an average outer diameter greater than an inner diameter of a bore of the second screwing member 42, which the leg tube 41 can pass through. The second screwing member 42 can be screwed to the first screwing member 14.

Therefore, the upper end of each of the backrest support racks 3 is inserted to the backrest 2, while a lower end of each of the backrest support racks 3 is inserted into the fixing base 15 on the bottom surface of the seat 1. In addition, referring now to FIG. 3, the connecting end 411 on the upper end of each of the chair legs 4 is connected to the connecting end 12 of each of the tube frames 11 of the seat 1, while the convex positioning portion 412 can be correspondingly engaged with concave positioning portion 13. Then, the second screwing member 42 can be screwed to the first screwing member 14. When rotating the second screwing member 42, the connecting end 411 is moved upward, so that the connecting end 12 and the connecting end 411 will be tightly matched with each other. Meanwhile, a contact portion between the connecting end 12 and the connecting end 411 will be completely covered and pressed, so as to maintain the connection between the chair legs 4 and the tube frames 11 without any loosening or risk of shaking, even though the chair legs 4 and the tube frames 11 are forced by the user's weight.

Furthermore, if all components including the seat 1, the backrest 2, the backrest support racks 3, and the chair legs 4 are detached from each other, the components can be stacked with each other, as shown in FIG. 4., so as to substantially reduce the occupied space of the entire bath chair and substantially lower the storage and transportation costs of related manufacturers of the bath chair. Meanwhile, distributors or users can easily and simply finish assembling the bath chair again.

The present invention has been described with a preferred embodiment thereof and it is understood that many changes and modifications to the described embodiment can be carried out without departing from the scope and the spirit of the invention that is intended to be limited only by the appended claims.

Claims

1. A simply-assembled bath chair, comprising of:

a seat having a bottom surface provided with two crossed tube frames 11 fixed thereon, wherein each of the tube frames has two ends bent downward and defined as two connecting ends, while each of the connecting ends is sleeved with a first screwing member;
a backrest; and
four chair legs, each of which has an upper end defined as a connecting end correspondingly connected to each of the connecting ends of the tube frames, wherein each of the connecting ends of the chair legs is sleeved with a second screwing member correspondingly screwed to the first screwing member, while each of the connecting ends of the chair legs is formed with a conical portion corresponding to a conical portion formed on each of the connecting ends of the tube frames.

The simply-assembled bath chair of claim 1, wherein each of the connecting ends of the tube frames is formed with a concave positioning portion, while each of the corresponding connecting ends of the connecting ends of the chair legs is formed with a convex positioning portion which is engaged with the concave positioning portion.

The simply-assembled bath chair of claim 1 wherein each of the two tube frames on the bottom surface of the seat has a front section and a back section, each of which is correspondingly provided with a fixing base for a lower end of each of backrest support racks of the backrest to insert thereto.

4. The simply-assembled bath chair of claim 1, wherein two sides of a lower edge of the backrest is formed with two through holes for each of the backrest support racks of the backrest to insert thereto.

5. The simply assembled bath chair of claim 1, wherein each of the chair legs comprises a leg tube and a retractable tube, wherein the leg tube can be inserted into the retractable tube and retractably positioned in relation to the retractable tube, the second screwing member is sleeved on the connecting end defined by an upper end of the leg tube, and the conical portion of the connecting end has an average outer diameter greater than an inner diameter of a bore of the second screwing member, which the leg tube can pass through.
