TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The filed of the present invention relates generally to women's garments, and more particularly to bras with carrying compartments and a system for carrying items therein.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The field of art encompassing pockets in women's bras for carrying or concealing items is known. Variations abound, with some such bras, typically sports bras, providing pouches or pockets on the outside of either the front of back of the garment for carrying items such as water bottles or MP3 music devices. These garments typically focus on function, and not the aesthetic aspects of the garment.

Others include concealed compartments on the interior of the garment, but are limited in size and location. Additionally, prosthetic bras are available that include pouches or pockets for securing prosthetic devices.

Therefore, there is a need for a stylish bra that includes multiple internally concealed storage compartments that utilize the natural contours of the body and the garment to retain the aesthetic aspects of the garment while maximizing storage capacity. Further, there is a need for a storage system wherein small carrying devices such as pouches and carrying cases are designed to fit within said storage compartments, so that small items such as coins and pills may utilize the functionality of said bra. Finally, there is need for said storage compartments to be able to accommodate a variety of closure mechanisms based upon the desire of the wearer.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

These and other objects are achieved by designing a bra with multiple concealed storage compartments and compatible storage devices that are easily accessible and that may utilize a variety of closure devices to maximize security or ease of access.

DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a front view of the bra of the present invention, showing said multiple compartments.

FIG. 2 is a back view of the bra of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The figures depict a bra including a plurality of concealed storage compartments located in positions so as not to reduce the aesthetic nature of the garment.

FIG. 1 depicts the bra of the present invention, generally indicated at 10. The bodice of said bra includes two breast cups 30 joined at a central cleavage point 32. Two shoulder straps 34 and a back strap 36 are employed in common fashion to secure the garment in place. Located on each of said breast cups 30, at a point proximal to where said straps 34 connect to said breast cups 30 is located a storage compartment 12. Further, at said central cleavage point 32 is located a cleavage storage compartment 14.

FIG. 1 further depicts two elongated storage compartments 16 located along and on the front of each of said two shoulder straps 34.

The bra of the present invention 10 may be used in conjunction with small carrying vessels suitable for placing items such as coins and pills within. Designed to fit within said storage compartments, this combination of concealed storage compartments and carrying vessels creates a storage system allowing the bra of the present invention 10 to be used for an expanded number of purposes.

It should be understood by those skilled in the related art that the size of said concealed storage compartments may vary upon desired content and overall size of the garment. Further, while the preferred embodiment of the garment leaves said concealed storage compartments in an open pocket-like fashion, all such compartments may be fastened closed with a variety of closure mechanisms such as buttons, zippers, snaps, a hook and loop closure device such as Velcro, or magnetic grips.

FIG. 2 depicts the back of said bra 10, utilizing any of a plurality of traditional closing clasps 40 thereby maintaining the aesthetic nature of the garment.

While it is understood that certain forms of the present invention have been illustrated and described herein, it is not to be limited to the specific forms or arrangements described herein.
