Life guard tow vest

In accordance with the aspects of the present invention (Life Jacket), The LIFE GUARD TOW VEST/HARNESS VEST is to assist the less experienced swimmers in a safe rescue attempt, for all involved, by placing this HARNESS VEST on survivor and towing them with the attachment to the line and GUARD TOW VEST, also to sustain strength when trying to maintain a group while treading water. The group will be able to use the “harness strap” featured by attaching the snap hook to the D rings to the left or right of each vest and maintain group integrity while protecting the weaker swimmers and also maintaining their personal strength, that would be lost by holding on to one another against the currents. This will also make it much easier for experienced professionals; it will enable them to pull a victim or multiple victims from the water at once while maintaining their personal strength in the occasion of an unconscious or hysterical survivor. The harness on the HARNESS VEST portion of the product has a triple purpose it can be lifted in a helicopter rescue attempt, as well as the attachment for group integrity, and tow able features. This also increases the expedience, safety and efficiency of the rescue. The current life jackets do not have the advantages of the features the LIFE GUARD TOW VEST/HARNESS present.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION/BACKGROUND

The present invention relates to life jackets and rescue apparel/devices.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention LIFE GUARD TOW includes one LIFE GUARD TOW VEST; this vest is worn by the life guard personnel/rescuer and features three D rings one on the rear/back of the vest, the second one on the left of the vest and hanging at the seam and the third one on the right of the vest hanging at the seam, it has a Velcro closure, and at present it is not a floatation vest. Also included is a HARNESS VEST; carried by the life guard personnel/rescuer to be placed upon the victim, it features five D rings also on the right and, left of this vest with additional D rings; the third one at the top rear on the neck for tow the fourth and fifth at the front closures of the vest beneath the Velcro as featured in Figure Seven and Figure Five.

A future option for the TOW VEST will be to inflate manually or automatically on the occasion that a life guard will find that he/she needs assistance due to depletion of strength (manually; would be a tube that would allow you to blow air into the vest). The HARNESS VEST/floatation device as shown is made with floatation material not required in the TOW VEST the rescuer does not require the buoyancy that the HARNESS VEST does to assist the victim in donning the HARNESS VEST he (the life guard) would simply wrap the HARNESS VEST around the victims waist and then close the over the shoulder feature.

These two items can be used apart from one another the HARNESS VEST can be used as a simple life jacket with the useful D rings that would allow a victim able to attach the Snap Hook himself to be pulled out of the water.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Be it known that I, Meris NELSON, have invented a new, original and safety utility design for SAFEGUARD/S and PERSONAL SAFETY USE of which the following are the specifications, this design includes two vest one is a TOW VEST and the other a HARNESS VEST reference being had to the accompanying drawings forming a part hereof.

Claims

1.
