Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to retaining frames, in particular to a retaining frame of a display, wherein the angle of the display can be adjusted conveniently and rapidly.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The prior art retaining frame for a display has a supporting seat having four cambered sliding grooves which are annular and spaced with one another for locking four studs of a swingable seat. Thus four nuts lock the structures so that the supporting seat is retained to the swinging seat. However when the display moves so that the first arm and the second arm of the retaining seat swing, by the weight of the display and the non-uniform force, the supporting seat will slide along the sliding grooves so that the display will shift aside. Especially the larger the display, the great the shift. If it is desired to adjust the display to the horizontal position in above display retaining frame, the display must be detached from the supporting seat, and then the nuts are released. After the supporting seat is adjusted to horizontal positions, the nuts are locked again. The adjustment is tedious and the detaching and assembling works must be done by two persons. However the weight of the display and the non-uniform force, the supporting seat will slide along the sliding grooves so that the display will shift aside and thus it makes difficult to users.

A retaining seat 1 has a seat body 10, a first arm 11 and a second arm 12. The seat body 10 can be fixed to a wall. Two ends of the first arm 11 have a first pivot portion 110 and a second pivot portion 111, respectively. The first pivot portion 110 is connected to the seat body 10 so that the first arm 11 is swingable horizontally along the seat body 10. Two ends of the second arm 12 have a first pivot portion 120 and a second pivot portion 121, respectively. The first pivot portion 120 of the second arm 12 is connected to the second pivot portion 111 of the first arm 11 so that the second arm 12 is swingable horizontally along second pivot portion 111 of the first arm 11. The second pivot portion 121 of the second arm 12 has a longitudinal and axially rotatable stand rod 13. The stand rod 13 has a penetrating via hole 130. An outer wall of the stand rod 13 is a retaining plane 131 at a periphery of the via hole 130.

A supporting seat 2 has a receiving surface 20, an embedding groove 21 and a penetrating hole 22. The receiving surface 20 has a concave cambered surface. The embedding groove 21 is at a backside of the receiving surface 20 for receiving the stand rod 13. The penetrating hole 22 penetrates through the receiving surface 20 to the embedding groove 21 at a central portion thereof.

The swingable sheet 3 is punched with a cambered connecting portion 30. A front surface of the connecting portion 30 has a concave cambered surface 31 and a back surface thereof has a convex cambered surface 32 which resists against the receiving surface 20 of the supporting seat 2. A center of the connecting portion 30 has a penetrating long hole 33.

The tighten sheet 4 has a convex portion 40 and a contact portion 41. The convex portion 40 is a convex cambered surface which protrudes toward a direction far away from the connecting portion 30. The contact portion 41 is integrally formed around a periphery of the convex portion 40 and has protruding outer sides protruding to a direction like that of the convex portion 40. The contact portion 41 is adhered to the concave cambered surface 31. A center of the convex portion 40 has a penetrating through hole 42.

An adjusting set 5 has a stud 50, a pad 51, an adjusting nut 52 and a stop nut 53. The stud 50 has a head 500 and a threaded post 501. The threaded post 501 penetrates through the through hole 42 of the tighten sheet 4, the long hole 33 of the swingable sheet 3, the penetrating hole 22 of the supporting seat 2 and the via hole 130 of the stand rod 13 so that the head 500 presses upon the convex portion 40 of the tighten sheet 4 and one end portion of the threaded post 501 protrudes out one side of the stand rod 13. The pad 51 encloses the threaded post 501 to adhere to the retaining plane 131 of the stand rod 13. The adjusting nut 52 locks the threaded post 501 and stop at the outer side of the adjusting nut 52 for preventing the adjusting nut 52 from releasing.

The cover 6 serves to cover the supporting seat 2 and the stand rod 13.

The supporting base 7 has one base body 70 and two frame sheets 71. The base body 70 is combined to the swingable sheet 3. The two frame sheets 71 are longitudinally installed to the base body 70 and is capable to move horizontally along the base body 70 or positioning thereon. Each frame sheet 71 has a plurality of retaining holes for locking a display 8.

Referring to FIG. 6, by movement of the first arm 11 and second arm 12, the distance between the display 8 and a wall is adjustable.

Referring to FIGS. 5 and 7, the connecting portion 30 of the swingable sheet 3 is matched to the receiving surface 20 of the supporting seat 2 and the tighten sheet 4 is combined to the adjusting set 5 so that the shifts in the horizontal direction and vertical direction are adjustable.

Referring to FIG. 8, by the connecting portion 30 of the swingable sheet 3 matched to the receiving surface 20 of the supporting seat 2, and the tighten sheet 4 combined to the adjusting set 5, and the stud 50 to insert into the long hole 33 of the connecting portion 30 of the swingable sheet 3, the elevational angle of the display 8 is adjustable. Especially, tightening or releasing the adjusting nut 52, the tighten sheet 4, swingable sheet 3 and the supporting seat 2 are adjustable to tighten or release. Thus, the friction forces between the contact portion 41 of the tighten sheet 4 and the concave cambered surface 31 of the connecting portion 30 and the friction force between the convex cambered surface 32 and the receiving surface 20 are also adjustable.

Referring to FIG. 9, another embodiment of the present invention is illustrated. In this embodiment, the swingable sheet 3 has a plurality of retaining holes 34 for locking the display 8.

In this embodiment, the connecting portion 30 of the swingable sheet 3 is slidable along the receiving surface 20 of the supporting seat 2. Furthermore, the receiving surface 20 and the connecting portion 30 have cambered surfaces so that the user can move the display 8 to a desire position. By the contact between the contact portion 41 of the tighten sheet 4 and the concave cambered surface 31 of the connecting portion 30, and a larger contact area of the convex cambered surface 32 of the connecting portion 30, a large friction force is generated so that it can suffer from a larger friction force from the swinging of the display 8. No screw or stud is necessary to be detached, while the display 8 can swing or be positioned to a desired angle. Especially, by adjusting the friction force using the adjusting set 5, the swingable sheet 3 can support a display 8 of any weight. Thus the user can adjust the angle of the display 8 conveniently and rapidly.

The present invention is thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the present invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
