Operation wand unit for roman shade
An operation wand unit for Roman shades includes a base fixed to a board hidden in the shade and includes a slot is defined in the base. A flat head of the operation wand is pivotably engaged with the slot of the base. Two notches are defined in the base in horizontal direction. The operation wand is a polygonal wand and includes multiple ridges and one of the ridges can be engaged with one of the notches when the wand is not in use.
The present invention relates to an operation wand unit for a Roman shade and the wand can be easily engaged with a notch in the base on the shade when not in use.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONA conventional operation wand unit 5 for a Roman shade is shown in
Nevertheless, the transverse bar 52, the hook 55 and the sleeve 53 involve different materials and shapes which increase fabrication cost. The transverse bar 52 is exposed and can be seen by the people in the room, this may not be satisfied by some users or interior design purposes.
The present invention intends to provide an operation wand unit for a Roman shade and the unit, includes a compact base which is fixed on the shade and includes at least one notch with which one of the ridges of the polygonal wand can be engaged in horizontal position.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention relates to an operation wand unit for Roman shades, and the operation wand unit comprises a base fixed on the shade and includes a slot defined in an underside thereof. The base includes a first part and a second part and the slot is located between the first and second parts. At least one notch is defined in a front surface of the first part of the base. An operation wand includes a flat head which is pivotably engaged with the slot and at least one ridge is formed on the operation wand. The at least one ridge is engaged with the at least one notch in the base to position the operation wand.
The primary object of the present invention is to provide an operation wand unit which includes less number of parts and can be position the operation unit horizontally.
The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
Referring to
An operation wand 2 includes a flat head 21 which has a second through holes 22 defined therethrough. The flat head 21 is pivotably engaged with the slot 11 by extending a rivet 3 through the first and second through holes 12, 22. The first part 13 includes a recess 131 defined in a rear side thereof and an end of the rivet 3 extends through the second part 13 and enters into the recess 131, the end of the rivet 3 is flatted within the recess 131. By this way, the operation wand 2 is pivotably connected to the base 1. The operation wand 2 is a polygonal wand and includes multiple ridges 23 formed thereon.
As shown in
As shown in
The operation wand unit “A” includes less number of parts and there is no transverse bar to be seen as shown in the conventional operation wand unit. The base 1 is compact and meets most of the interior designs purposes.
While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
