LOCKING DEVICE OF AN OVEN GRILL

The present invention relates to a locking device of an oven grill. When the oven grill is being inserted into the notch of an oven, the inverted V-shaped latch on the locking sheet leans against a bending portion of the V-shaped notch of the oven due to the pulling force exerted by the spring mechanism so as to prevent the oven grill from sliding outwards to lock the oven grill. When the oven grill is to be taken out, put one hand at the front end of the oven and use fingers to lift up the S-shaped tie bar. Then, the rear end of the S-shaped tie bar moves down so as to press down the arc press plate as well as the inverted V-shaped latch such that the locking sheet gets rid of the V-shaped notch under the pulling force exerted by the spring mechanism and, in turn, the locking at two sides are removed simultaneously, thus the oven grill can be taken out evenly and smoothly using one hand.

Accordingly, one object of the present invention is to provide a locking device which is capable of controlling the balance of the oven grill using one hand and, in turn, overcome the shortage of the prior locking device of the oven grill.

To achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides a locking device comprising a top rack, a bottom rack, and a pair of slide rails. The top rack is provided on the pair of slide rails, and the bottom rack is positioned under the slide rails. The slide rails have locking sheets provided on two sides thereof. The locking sheet is hinged to a side of the slide rail at one end thereof, has a spring mechanism drawn upward to connect to the slide rails formed at a center portion thereof, and at the other end has a tip-tilted inverted V-shaped latch formed at the outer side and an arc press plate at the inner side. The top surfaces of the two press plates lean against two ends of an S-shaped tie bar, respectively. The S-shaped tie bar is hinged to side surfaces of the two slide rails and winded from the front end of the oven under the top rack.

Preferably, the spring mechanism is a tension spring.

Preferably, the slide rail has a stopper post provided parallel to and behind a hinge position at which the S-shaped tie bar hinges to the slide rail.

The S-shaped tie bar is welded with a piece portion having a round hole at the hinge position, through which a screw runs to hinge the S-shaped tie bar to the side of the slide rail.

Since the locking sheet 4 of the oven grill of the present invention has the spring mechanism 5 drawn upward to connect to the slide rails 3 formed at the center portion thereof, and has the tip-tilted inverted V-shaped latch 41 formed at the outer side at one end thereof, when the oven grill is being inserted into the notch of an oven, the inverted V-shaped latch 41 on the locking sheet 4 leans against a bending portion of the V-shaped notch of the notch of the oven due to the pulling force exerted by the spring mechanism 5 so as to prevent the oven grill from sliding outwards and, in turn, achieve the object to lock the oven grill. When the oven grill is to be taken out, put one hand at the front end of the oven and use fingers to lift up the S-shaped tie bar 6 winded under the front end of the top rack 1, and then, the rear end of the S move down so as to bring the arc press plate 42 in motion. The press plate 42 is pressed down as well as the inverted V-shaped latch 41 at outer side such that the locking sheet 4 shakes off the yoke of the V-shaped notch under the pulling force exerted by the spring mechanism 5 and, in turn, the locking at two sides are removed at the same time, thus the oven grill can be taken out evenly and smoothly using one hand. The locking device of the present invention has simple structures, and can avoid case abrasion mark and abrasion destroy of the oven grill due to uneven force exerted by two hands when pulling out the oven grill. Moreover, it also can avoid the situation that the oven grill loses balance and tilts to one side thereof due to the uneven force of two hands, in turns, prevent food sprinkling from the oven grill.
