An absorptive shower cap includes a tubular absorptive shower cap body made of an absorptive fabric material and having a first open end and a second open end, a male fastening member and a female fastening member respectively fixedly provided at the tubular absorptive shower cap body adjacent to the first or second open end and fastenable to each other, and elastic bands extending around the tubular absorptive shower cap body at locations away from the second open end.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to absorptive shower caps and more particularly, to an absorptive shower cap that can be conveniently wrapped about a user's hair and twisted to absorb water from the hair.

2. Description of the Related Art

Conventional shower caps are commonly made of plastics and provided with an elastic band around the open side. These shower caps are adapted to keep the hair from water when taking a shower bath. Further, after bathing or a hair wash, one may towel-dry the hair with a towel, and then blow-dry the air with a hair dryer. When using a towel to towel-dry the hair, it is difficult to keep the towel in place for twisting with the two hands. When twisting or rubbing the towel against the hair, the towel may drop from the hair.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is one object of the present invention to provide an absorptive shower cap, which can be conveniently wrapped about a user's hair and twisted or rubbed against the hair, thereby towel-drying the hair.

To achieve this and other objects of the present invention, an absorptive shower cap includes a tubular absorptive shower cap body having a first open end and a second open end, a male fastening member and a female fastening member respectively fixedly provided at the tubular absorptive shower cap body adjacent to the first or second open end and fastenable to each other, and elastic bands extending around the tubular absorptive shower cap body at locations away from the second open end.

Further, the tubular absorptive shower cap is made of an absorptive fabric material.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an absorptive shower cap in accordance with the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIG. 1, an absorptive shower cap 1 comprises a tubular absorptive shower cap body 11 made of an absorptive fabric material. The tubular absorptive shower cap body 11 has a first open end 12 and a second open end 13. A male fastening member 121 is fixedly provided at the tubular absorptive shower cap body 11 adjacent to the first open end 12. A female fastening member 131 is fixedly provided at the tubular absorptive shower cap body 11 adjacent to the second open end 13 for the fastening of the male fastening member 121. Further, elastic bands 14 are transversely arranged in the tubular absorptive shower cap body 11 at locations away from the second open end 13.

Referring to FIGS. 2˜4, when using the absorptive shower cap 1, sleeve the first open end 12 of the tubular absorptive shower cap body 11 onto the user's head 2 to let the whole absorptive shower cap 1 be wound around the user's neck (see FIG. 2), and then pull the second open end 13 to lift the absorptive shower cap 1 from the user's neck to the elevation where the lower part of the tubular absorptive shower cap body 11 surrounds almost the whole area of the user's hair 21 (see FIG. 3), and then turn the second open end 13 of the tubular absorptive shower cap body 11 downwards and fasten up the male fastening member 121 with the female fastening member 131 to close the second open end 13 (see FIG. 4).

Further, the male fastening member 121 can be a stud or hook, and the female fastening member 131 can be a socket or eye.

A prototype of absorptive shower cap has been constructed with the features of FIGS. 1˜4. The absorptive shower cap functions smoothly to provide all of the features disclosed earlier.

Although a particular embodiment of the invention has been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.

Claims

1. An absorptive shower cap, comprising:

a tubular absorptive shower cap body made of an absorptive fabric material, said tubular absorptive shower cap body comprising a first open end and a second open end;
a male fastening member fixedly provided at said tubular absorptive shower cap body adjacent to said first open end;
a female fastening member fixedly provided at said tubular absorptive shower cap body adjacent to said second open end and fastenable to said male fastening member; and
a plurality of elastic bands extending around said tubular absorptive shower cap body at locations away from said second open end.

2. The absorptive shower cap as claimed in claim 1, wherein said male fastening member is a stud, and said female fastening member is a socket.

3. The absorptive shower cap as claimed in claim 1, wherein said male fastening member is a hook, and said female fastening member is an eye.
