Desk tidy

A desk tidy has a body, an insert and a base. The body is diaphanous, has a top, a bottom, a container, an outer wall and a chamber. The container is centrally formed on the top of the body and has an inner surface, an outer surface for mounting stationery and a bottom. The chamber is formed between the inner surface container and the outer wall. The insert is removably mounted in the chamber of the body and has an outer surface with a design. The base is selectively mounted securely on the bottom of the body. Therefore, the design of the insert can be protected and easily changed.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a desk tidy, especially to be a desk tidy with easily exchangeable design.

2. Description of the Prior Arts

With reference to FIG. 5, a conventional desk tidy (50) in accordance with the prior art is used to hold stationery and has a top, an outer surface and a container (51). The container (51) is defined in the top of the conventional desk tidy (50). The outer surface of the conventional desk tidy (50) may comprise a design being a picture, word or combination thereof.

Currently, the design is printed on the conventional desk tidy, which is complex soraises costs. Furthermore, the design on the outer surface of the conventional desk tidy (50) is easily abraded and damaged but is not easily changed. Therefore, a conventional desk tidy having a unique design is unachievable and once the design is damaged the desk tidy must be entirely replaced.

To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention provides a desk tidy to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main objective of the present invention is to provide a desk tidy that allows a design to be easily changed.

The desk tidy in accordance with the present invention has a body, a insert and a base. The body is diaphanous, has a top, a bottom, a container, an outer wall and a chamber. The container is formed on the top of the body and has an inner surface, an outer surface for mounting stationery and a bottom. The chamber is formed between the inner surface of the container and the outer wall. The insert is removably mounted in the chamber of the body and has an outer surface with a design. The base is selectively mounted securely on the bottom of the body. Therefore, the design of the insert can be protected and easily changed.

Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a desk tidy in accordance with the present invention;

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

With reference to FIG. 1, a desk tidy in accordance with the present invention has a body (10), an insert (20) and a base (30).

With further reference to FIG. 2, the body (10) is diaphanous and has a top, a bottom, a container (11), an outer wall (13), at least one fastening hole (15) and a chamber (14). The container ( 11) is centrally formed in the top of the body (10) and has an inner surface, an outer surface and a bottom. The outer surface of the container (11) holds stationery or the like. The at least one fastening hole (15) is formed through the bottom of the container (11). The chamber (14) is annular, is defined between the inner surface of the container (11) and the outer wall (13), is located around the container (11) and has an open bottom.

The insert (20) is removably mounted in the chamber (14) of the body (10) through the open bottom and has an outer surface, may be annular, may be a sheet and may be paper. The outer surface of the insert (20) has a design such as a picture, word, advertisement, combination thereof or the like.

With further reference to FIG. 3, the base (30) is selectively mounted securely on the bottom of the body (10) and has a top and at least one hook (31). The at least one hook (31) is formed on the top of the base (30) and is detachably engaged respectively the at least one fastening hole (15) of the body (10). With further reference to FIG. 4, the insert (20) of the desk tidy is removably mounted in the chamber (14) between the container (11) and the outer wall (13), so the design of the insert (20) is not damaged easily. Furthermore, the outer surface of the insert (20) can be printed easily and once printed changed easily. Therefore, a manufacturer has lower production costs. Furthermore, the desk tidy may be sold unassembled to allow a favorite picture, such as of a child or family portrait to be inserted and displayed in the desk tidy.

Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and features of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only. Changes may be made in the details, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.

Claims

1. A desk tidy comprising

a body being diaphanous and having a top; a bottom; a container being formed in the top of the body and having an inner surface; an outer surface; and a bottom; an outer wall; and a chamber being annular, being formed between the inner surface of the container and the outer wall and having an open bottom;
an insert being removably mounted in the chamber of the body through the open bottom and having an outer surface with a design; and
a base being selectively mounted securely on the bottom of the body and having a top.

2. The desk tidy as claimed in 1, wherein

the body further has at least one fastening hole being formed on the on the bottom of the container; and
the base further has at least one hook being formed on the top of the base and detachably engaged respectively with the fastening hole of the body.

3. The desk tidy as claimed in 1, wherein the insert is annular.

4. The desk tidy as claimed in 2, wherein the insert is annular.

5. The desk tidy as claimed in 1, wherein the insert is a sheet.

6. The desk tidy as claimed in 2, wherein the insert is a sheet.
