Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In response to new laws on air quality and increasing health concerns over the dangers of Inhaling secondhand smoke, many public and private buildings are now “smoke free,” thus requiring all smoking material to be extinguished prior to entering the building. To accommodate smokers, many buildings have designated “smoking areas,” typically located outside the building, where smoking of cigarettes and cigars is freely permitted. Accordingly, most buildings generally have ash trays or other cigarette disposal containers at the building entrances and designated smoking areas, in which smokers can dispose of their used smoking material.

The cigarette disposal container makes the maintenance of these smoking areas easy to maintain while improving the appearance of the outdoor areas designated for smoking. The cigarette disposal is an economical and user friendly devise that provides easy use and maintenance. Without such containers to hold discarded materials, the ground around the smoking areas become littered with cigarette butts, matches, wrappers and empty cigarette packs. The resulting debris is unsightly, and to the extent that it can pose a risk of fire, dangerous.

Additionally cigarette disposal containers are often in well trafficked areas with a good deal of exposure. Generally, many office buildings, businesses, restaurants, bars, and many other establishments have cigarette disposal containers and as such many people are able to see these containers. The current invention utilizes this fact.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFFERED EMBODIMENTS

FIG. 1 Illustrates the Cigarette Disposal Container and Display Assembly 10 of the present invention. Cigarette Disposal Container 12 may be any Standard disposal device, generally constructed from a heavy duty plastic material. Cigarette Disposal Container 12 has an opening 14 for the insertion Of cigarette butts, a hollow column 16, and a hollow base 18 that acts to Support hollow column 16 as well as provide a collection location where the Cigarette butts and similar discarded materials are collected for disposal.

An L-shaped metallic bracket 20 is attached to Cigarette Disposal Container 12 along wall 22 hallow column 16. While a metallic bracket is described, it Is within the terms of the present invention to use a bracket constructed of any material such as for example plastic. Section 24 of bracket 20 is the section that is flush against wall 22 and is secured thereto by any means such as for example with two screws 26a and 26b.

Along the metallic edge 28 of bracket 20, which is perpendicular to section 24, there is a license plate frame plastic 30 that is secured onto edge 28 with nuts, Bolts and plastic spacers 32a, 32b, 32c and 32d. Suspended within frame 30, Advertisements and other general information may be placed. Many people Who smoke and otherwise walk by these smoking areas would now be exposed to whatever information is contained within the frame 30.

Cigarette Disposal Container 12 has either two business card holders with lids 33, on both sides adjacent to opening 14, secured with two way tape. Or with two tri fold holders 34, both sides adjacent to opening 14 in middle of hallow column 16 which or attached with a screw 39a and a nut. Both business card holders and tri fold holders can be combined.

The following are proposed merely as an indication of what the inventor(s) may be interested in pursuing by way of patent protection, without prejudice to any future patent right.

    • A. Cigarette Disposal Display, wherein:
    • B. Cigarette Disposal Container is attached to a devise to contain advertisements and other such announcements.
