Method for a casino craps game

Abstract

A casino game similar to, or the same as, a craps game is disclosed. The game is an improvement over the traditional method of playing craps in that it offers the ability to surrender established Pass Line and established Come bets, before the next roll or draw of the cards.

Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a wagering game similar to a well known casino game called craps and, more particularly, to a method of allowing the player the ability to surrender established Pass Line and established Come bet wagers.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Craps is a very popular casino wagering game. The standard rules for Craps are very well established, so there is no need to inform those having ordinary skill in the art on how Craps is played. The objective of Craps is to establish a “point” and then remake it before making a Seven. Additionally, Craps provides a variety of alluring bets to choose from depending on what the players or players feel the next two numbers will be exactly or numerically.

Each new game in Craps begins with the “Come Out,” and if the “Point” is made, the game will continue with a new “Come Out.” This will continue until a point is established and a seven is made. The Seven and the Point are the only two numbers that matter. If the player feels like betting with the house then their wager will be placed in the Don't Pass betting area. Don't Pass bets are considered wrong way bets.

There have been many different type of modifications made to a Craps game. One modification to the standard House banked game is to make the game a Player banked game. A House funded game is played in a casino where the casino covers all bets. A Player funded game may or not be played in a casino, except the players wager against each other. Another modification is to use cards in lieu of Dice.

A short overview of the standard rules pertaining to: the Pass line and Come bet are contract bets that remains until the wager either wins or loses; the Pass Line Betting area wins when the number totals either a 7 or 11 on the “Come out,” or when a point is repeated before a 7. The bet loses if the Come out is 2, 3, or 12, or when the number totals a 7 before the point is repeated; the Come Betting area is placed after the point is established and is identical with the Pass Line betting area; the Betting areas with Odds is an additional wager for established Pass Line betting area and Come betting area.

Prior art craps games suffer from certain disadvantages, for example, a casino does not offer the player or players the option to surrender established Pass Line and established Come bets.

The present invention provides a unique method by allowing the option to surrender previously established contract bets, which is sure to increased enthusiasm from the players.

While several new craps game have been developed, what remains needed is a game with an option to surrender contract wagers that must remain until the wager either wins or loses.

It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a craps game with a method for surrendering contract bets.

It is an object of the invention to provide a craps game so that the player or players may surrender their established Pass Line wager.

It is an object of the invention to provide a craps game so that the player or players may surrender their established Come bet wager.

It is an object of the invention to provide a craps game that provides a table with mechanical device that signifies when the player may place or retrieve a wager.

It is furthermore an object of the invention to provide a craps game that provides a table with light that signifies when the player may place or retrieve a wager.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a casino craps game that generates increased excitement for the players. In accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention, a craps game comprises a standard craps table wherein the improvement comprises a method for allowing the player or players the option to surrender established Pass Line and established Come bets. The present invention solves the above stated as well as other needs and resolves the aforesaid shortcomings of conventional and unconventional craps games by providing a casino game with a method for surrendering established bets that is otherwise unavailable.

Other objects and advantages will become apparent from the following descriptions, in connection with the accompanying drawings, on how the invention achieves its results. The present invention follows the standard craps game rules with the exception of offering the option to surrender established Pass Line and established Come bets.

The disclosed game may be embodied in computerized gaming equipment.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

A detailed description of the preferred embodiments are provided herein. It is understood the present invention may be embodied in various forms. The present invention may be inverted, or changed in reference to specific part shape and detail, part location, or part composition. Therefore, specific details disclosed herein are not to be interpreted as limiting but rather as a basis for the claims and as a representative basis for teaching one skilled in the art to employ the present invention in virtually any appropriately detailed system, structure or manner.

For a better understanding of the invention and its operation, turning now to the drawings, FIG. 1 is a plan view of a Craps layout 85 with different betting areas.

The object of the present invention is the same as a traditional Craps game; to establish a point and then repeat it before a seven is made except for the method of of allowing the player to surrender established Pass Line 55 and established Come bet 65 before the next roll or draw. A point is made if the total of the two dice or cards equal 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10.

The Craps game is in all respects the same as a convention Craps game, except on the “Come out” if a point is established, the Pass Line 55 bet is considered established and may be surrendered before the next roll or deal.

Additionally, when “the point is established and another point is made before a seven is made,” the Come bet 65 is considered established and the player may surrender the previously established Pass Line 55 and or any established Come bet 65 before the next roll or deal.

Furthermore, when “the point is established and a seven is made” the present invention is played the same way as a traditional Craps game in that established Pass Line 55 and established Come bet 65 lose.

Having illustrated and described a preferred embodiment of the invention thereto, it should be apparent to those of ordinary skill in the are that the invention permits of further modification in arrangement and detail. For example, the order can be changed. Fewer or more betting areas can be used. All such modifications and alternatives and equivalents may be included with in the spirit and scope of the invention.

Since other modifications and changes varied to fit particular operating requirements and environments will be apparent to those skilled in the art, the invention is not considered limited to the example chosen for purposes of disclosure, and covers all changes and modifications which do not constitute departures from the true spirit and scope of this invention.

Claims

1. A method for a casino craps game for providing the ability to surrender established pass line and established come bets, comprising:

means for providing different betting areas;

means for providing a pass line betting area; and

means for providing a come betting area.

2. The method for a casino craps game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for providing different betting areas comprises a craps layout.

3. The method for a casino craps game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for providing a pass line betting area comprises a pass line.

4. The method for a casino craps game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for providing a come betting area comprises a come bet.
