Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a makeup (or beauty) product and, more particularly, to a makeup product, such as cosmetics, toiletries and the like.

2. Description of the Related Art

A conventional makeup product comprises a housing containing a makeup item (such as a lipstick, a lip gloss, an eyelash liner, a powder, a powder blusher and the like) therein, and a top cover detachably mounted on the housing to cover the makeup item. The housing has an inner portion provided with a receiving space to receive the makeup item. However, both of the housing and the top cover are made of a plastic material so as to greatly increase the cost of fabrication of the makeup product. In addition, both of the housing and the top cover are made of a plastic material so that when the housing and the top cover are worn out and thrown away, the housing and the top cover cannot be decomposed naturally forever, thereby greatly causing an environmental pollution. Further, both of the housing and the top cover are made of a plastic material so that the outer surface of each of the housing and the top cover cannot be formed with smooth stripes, thereby decreasing the aesthetic quality of the makeup product.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a makeup product, comprising a housing, a container mounted in the housing, and a top cover detachably mounted on the housing and abutting the container to locate the container between the housing and the top cover. The housing is made of a bamboo material. The top cover is made of a bamboo material.

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a makeup product having a lower cost of fabrication.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a makeup product, wherein both of the housing and the top cover are made of a bamboo material so as to greatly decrease the cost of fabrication of the makeup product.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a makeup product, wherein both of the housing and the top cover are made of a bamboo material so that when the housing and the top cover are worn out and thrown away, the housing and the top cover can be decomposed naturally without causing any environmental pollution.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-3, a makeup product in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a housing 30, a container 20 mounted in the housing 30, and a top cover 10 detachably mounted on the housing 30 and abutting the container 20 to locate the container 20 between the housing 30 and the top cover 10.

The housing 30 is made of a bamboo material. The housing 30 has an outer surface provided with a plurality of smooth stripes 31. The housing 30 is made to have different sizes and shapes. In fabrication of the housing 30, the bamboo material is initially cut to have different sizes and shapes so as to form the housing 30. Then, the housing 30 is worked by polishing and abrading processes to form the smooth stripes 31. The housing 30 has an inner portion provided with a receiving chamber 32 to receive the container 20. The receiving chamber 32 of the housing 30 has an end portion provided with an opening 33 from which the container 20 protrudes outwardly. The receiving chamber 32 of the housing 30 is connected to the ambient environment via the opening 33.

The top cover 10 is made of a bamboo material. The top cover 10 has an outer surface provided with a plurality of smooth stripes 11. The top cover 10 is made to have different sizes and shapes. In fabrication of the top cover 10, the bamboo material is initially cut to have different sizes and shapes so as to form the top cover 10. Then, the top cover 10 is worked by polishing and abrading processes to form the smooth stripes 11. The top cover 10 has an inner portion provided with a mounting chamber 12 mounted on the container 20 and facing the receiving chamber 32 of the housing 30. The mounting chamber 12 of the top cover 10 has an end portion provided with an aperture 13 facing the opening 33 of the housing 30 to allow passage of the container 20. The mounting chamber 12 of the top cover 10 is connected to the ambient environment via the opening 13.

The container 20 has an inner portion provided with a receiving space 22 to receive a makeup item. The container 20 is secured in the receiving chamber 32 of the housing 30 and has an end portion provided with a protruding mounting stud 23 protruding outwardly from the opening 33 of the housing 30. The mounting stud 23 of the container 20 is inserted through the aperture 13 into the mounting chamber 12 of the top cover 10 when the aperture 13 of the top cover 10 is mounted onto the mounting stud 23 of the container 20. The mounting stud 23 of the container 20 has an inner portion provided with an entrance 21 connected to the receiving space 22 to allow entrance of the makeup item. The entrance 21 of the container 20 faces the aperture 13 of the top cover 10. The receiving space 22 of the container 20 is connected to the ambient environment via the entrance 21.

In assembly, the container 20 is secured in the receiving chamber 32 of the housing 30. Then, the aperture 13 of the top cover 10 is mounted onto the mounting stud 23 of the container 20, and the mounting stud 23 of the container 20 is inserted through the aperture 13 into the mounting chamber 12 of the top cover 10, so that the container 20 is located between the housing 30 and the top cover 10. When in use, the aperture 13 of the top cover 10 is detached from the mounting stud 23 of the container 20 to remove the top cover 10 from the container 20 so as to expose the container 20 for use with a user.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the makeup item contained in the receiving space 22 of the container 20 is a lip gloss.

As shown in FIG. 3, the makeup item contained in the receiving space 22 of the container 20 is an eyelash liner.

As shown in FIG. 4, the makeup item 24 contained in the container 20 is a lipstick.

As shown in FIG. 5, the makeup item 25 contained in the container 20 is a powder.

As shown in FIG. 6, the makeup item 26 contained in the container 20 is a powder blusher.

Accordingly, both of the housing 30 and the top cover 10 are made of a bamboo material so as to greatly decrease the cost of fabrication of the makeup product. In addition, both of the housing 30 and the top cover 10 are made of a bamboo material so that when the housing 30 and the top cover 10 are worn out and thrown away, the housing 30 and the top cover 10 can be decomposed naturally without causing any environmental pollution. Further, the housing 30 has an outer surface provided with a plurality of smooth stripes 31, and the top cover 10 has an outer surface provided with a plurality of smooth stripes 11 so as to enhance the aesthetic quality of the makeup product.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
