BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

I wanted to develop a unique teaching tool that would inform children in an effective age-appropriate manner about Christianity and the teachings of Jesus and would encourage children to learn more about Jesus and Christianity and to develop coordination by putting movement to music. I wanted to get children to focus on something positive.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION

The invention consists of three major components: the Jesus Doll Robo™, a remote control unit, and a CD or cassette player. The Jesus Doll Robo™ is an approximately 15 inch tall figurine made in the generally recognized image of Jesus as an adult and is made of plastic and clothed in traditional robe of Jesus' era. The interior of the Jesus Doll Robo™ consists of metal human framework with joints enabling human-like motion, and a micro-chip in the doll's head that receives electronic signals from the remote control unit and controls the doll's movements. The Jesus Doll Robo™ is powered by two D batteries that are installed in the back of the doll, and there is an on/off switch on the back of the doll's right shoulder. The remote control contains buttons controlling the following movements of the doll: forwards, backwards, turning, and leaning motions to simulate dancing and speaking gesture movements. The remote control unit is powered by three AAA batteries installed at the back of the unit. The CD or cassette player is powered by two AA batteries. The operator turns on the Jesus Doll Robo™ via the on/off switch on the back of the doll's right shoulder, presses the instructed buttons on the remote to program in certain movements, and installs the CD or cassette in the player, pushes the “play” button on the player, and waits for the music or speaking to start to press the “Go” button on the remote.
