Playing table with dancing pole
A playing system comprises a playing table and a mechanism situated vertically above the playing table, where the mechanism can be used to accommodate one or more dancers to dance above the playing table while the players play on the playing table. The mechanism may comprise a dancing pole where the one or more dancers may perform exotic dance.
The present patent application is a formalization of a previously filed, co-pending provisional patent application entitled “PLAYING TABLE WITH DANCING POLE,” filed Feb. 13, 2009, as U.S. patent application Ser. No. 61/207,636 by the inventor(s) named in this application. This patent application claims the benefit of the filing date of the cited provisional patent application according to the statutes and rules governing provisional patent applications, particularly 35 USC §119 and 37 CFR §1.78. The specification and drawings of the cited provisional patent application are specifically incorporated herein by reference. The present patent application is further a continuation-in-part of a co-pending non-provisional patent application entitled “CIRCULAR POOL TABLE ACCORDING TO BILLIARD CONGRESS OF AMERICA AND/OR WORLD POOL-BILLIARD ASSOCIATION,” filed Aug. 31, 2006, as U.S. patent application Ser. No. 11/514,586 by one or more common inventor(s). FIELD OF INVENTIONThis invention is related to a playing table, including a pool table that incorporates a dancing pole for one or more persons or things to dance over the playing table. In particular, this invention relates to a pool table comprising a support mechanism including a dancing pole where an exotic dancer may perform over the pool table while one or more persons play pool.
BACKGROUNDThe present invention discloses a playing table, such as a pool table, billiard table, poker table, roulette table, etc., comprising a pole, capable of being danced on or around by a dancer, coupled with the playing table. In an effort to make playing tables more enticing and interesting, a playing table is disclosed that provides for a mechanism where one or more individuals or things may perform acts such as dancing while the players play on the playing table. The purpose of this invention is to entertain pool or billiards players with a dancer using a dancer's pole during the activity of their game. The invention may be utilized in bars, clubs, homes, or any other venue where pool or billiards and dancers are located.
SUMMARYIn one aspect, a playing table is disclosed which includes a mechanism that is attached with the playing table and which is capable of being danced on by one or more dancers. In another aspect, a playing system is disclosed which comprises a playing table and a mechanism disposed vertically above the playing table, wherein the mechanism is capable of being danced on by one or more dancers. In another aspect, a method of playing is disclosed by providing a playing table and a mechanism disposed vertically above the playing table wherein said mechanism is capable of being danced on by one or more dancers.
The foregoing explanations, descriptions, illustrations, examples, and discussions have been set forth to assist the reader with understanding this invention and further to demonstrate the utility and novelty of it and are by no means restrictive of the scope of the invention. It is the following claims, including all equivalents, which are intended to define the scope of this invention.
Claims
1. A playing table comprising a mechanism, coupled with the playing table, said mechanism capable of being danced on by one or more dancers.
2. The playing table of claim 1, wherein the playing table is one of a pool table, billiard table, poker table, and roulette table.
3. The playing table of claim 1, wherein the mechanism comprises a dancing pole, capable of being danced around by the one or more dancers, said dancing pole coupled with a playing surface of the playing table.
4. The playing table of claim 3, wherein the dancing pole is made from stainless steel.
5. The playing table of claim 3, wherein the mechanism further comprises a dancing platform disposed vertically above the playing surface, said dancing platform capable of supporting the one or more dancers.
6. The playing table of claim 5, wherein the dancing platform is made from stainless steel.
7. A playing system, comprising a playing table and a mechanism disposed vertically above the playing table, said mechanism capable of being danced on by one or more dancers.
8. The playing system of claim 7, wherein the mechanism is coupled with a structure above the playing table.
9. The playing system of claim 8, wherein the structure is a ceiling above the playing table.
10. The playing system of claim 7, wherein the mechanism comprises a dancing pole, capable of being danced around by the one or more dancers, said dancing pole disposed vertically above a playing surface of the playing table.
11. The playing system of claim 10, wherein the mechanism further comprises a dancing platform disposed vertically above the playing surface, said dancing platform capable of supporting the one or more dancers.
12. A method for playing comprising:
- (a) providing a playing table; and
- (b) providing a mechanism disposed vertically above the playing table;
- wherein said mechanism is capable of being danced on by one or more dancers.
13. The method of claim 12, wherein the mechanism comprises a dancing pole, capable of being danced around by the one or more dancers, said dancing pole disposed vertically above a playing surface of the playing table.
14. The method of claim 13, wherein the mechanism further comprises a dancing platform disposed vertically above the playing surface, said dancing platform capable of supporting the one or more dancers.
15. The playing system of claim 7, wherein the playing table is a circular pool table, comprising:
- (a) a substantially circular playing surface comprising a slate wherein said slate is according to the slate of a rectangular pool table as specified by at least one of the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) and World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA);
- (b) a substantially circular rail comprising a sub-rail bounded on a perimeter of said playing surface, said sub-rail having a profile according to the profile of the sub-rail of a rectangular pool table as specified by at least one of the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) and World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA);
- (c) a substantially circular cushion coupled with said rail, said circular cushion comprising a plurality of inwardly projecting straight cushions equally spaced around the circular pool table wherein said cushion comprises a geometric shape according to the geometric shape of the cushion of a rectangular pool table as specified by at least one of the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) and World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA); and
- (d) a plurality of pockets equally spaced around the circular pool table wherein each pocket comprises a pocket opening according to the side pocket opening of a rectangular pool table as specified by at least one of the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) and World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA).
