Tie Down Apparatus
A tie down apparatus comprising a base, a biasing element, a torsion spring, and a shaft, wherein the base is die cast or plastic rejection molded and includes two side plates disposed on two sides thereof respectively, and between one ends of the side plates is mounted an engaging pillar, between another ends of the side plates is fixed a retaining member, between middle sections of the side plates is secured an abutting shank, the biasing element matches with the torsion spring and is axially fixed between the two side plates of the base by using the shaft, and is die cast or plastic rejection molded, and includes a contacting portion having a pressing piece extending from one side thereof, thereby cooling quickly after die casting or plastic rejection molding process to lower production time and cost, and enabling to decrease production material and cost.
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to tying apparatus, and more particularly to a tie down apparatus that is capable of tying an object tightly and being release easily.
2. Description of the Prior Art
A conventional tie down apparatus is used to wrap a strap for tying objects so as to prevent the objects from falling from the truck during transporting process.
Referring to
In assembly, the biasing element 20 and the torsion spring 30 are fixed between the two side plates 101 of the base 10, and the shaft 40 is inserted to the axial holes 105 of the side plates 101, the aperture 202 of the biasing element 20, and a central orifice of the torsion spring 30 so that the torsion spring 30 abuts between the biasing element 20 and the shaft 104 of the base 10, and the contacting portion 201 of the biasing element 20 retains to the engaging pillar 102 of the base 10 by using the torsion spring 30 to wrap the strap tightly.
However, such a conventional tie down apparatus has the following disadvantages:
1. The side plates 101 of the base 10, the engaging pillar 102 and the contacting portion 201 of the biasing element 20 are solid, thus prolonging cooling time after die casting or plastic rejection molding process to increase production time.
2. The side plates 101 of the base 10, the engaging pillar 102 and the contacting portion 201 of the biasing element 20 are solid, increasing material and the material cost.
The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe primary object of the present invention is to provide a tie down apparatus that the side plates of the base include two recesses formed thereon individually, the engaging pillar is hollow, and the contacting portion of the biasing element includes the bores, thereby cooling quickly after die casting or plastic rejection molding process to lower production time and cost.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a tie down apparatus that the two side plates of the base include two recesses formed thereon individually, the engaging pillar is hollow, and the contacting portion of the biasing element includes the bores, thus enabling to decrease production material and cost.
A tie down apparatus in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises:
a base, a biasing element, a torsion spring, and a shaft, wherein the base is die cast or plastic rejection molded and includes two side plates disposed on two sides thereof respectively, and between one ends of the side plates is mounted an engaging pillar, between another ends of the side plates is fixed a retaining member, between middle sections of the side plates is secured an abutting shank, the biasing element matches with the torsion spring and is axially fixed between the two side plates of the base by using the shaft, and is die cast or plastic rejection molded, and includes a contacting portion having a pressing piece extending from one side thereof; such that the shaft is used to axially fix the biasing element and the torsion spring between the two side plates of the base so that the contacting portion of the biasing element retains to the engaging pillar of the base, tying an object tightly.
The present invention will be clearer from the following description when viewed together with the accompanying drawings, which show, for purpose of illustrations only, the preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
Referring to
In assembly, the biasing element 2 and the torsion spring 3 are placed between the side plates 11 of the base 1, and the shaft 4 is inserted to the axial hole 15 of the side plates 11, the aperture 211 of the biasing element 2, and a central orifice of the torsion spring 3 so that the torsion spring 3 is abutted between a bottom surface of the pressing piece 22 of the biasing element 2 and the indentation 141 of the abutting shank 14 of the base 1, such that the contacting portion 21 of the biasing element 2 retains to the engaging pillar 12 of the base 1 by using the torsion spring 3.
As shown in
Thereby, the tie down apparatus of the present invention has the following advantages:
1. Due to the side plates 11 of the base 1 include two recesses 111 formed thereon individually, the engaging pillar 12 is hollow, and the contacting portion 21 of the biasing element 2 includes the bores 212, thereby cooling quickly after die casting or plastic rejection molding process to lower production time and cost.
2. Because the two side plates 11 of the base 1 include two recesses 111 formed thereon individually, the engaging pillar 12 is hollow, and the contacting portion 21 of the biasing element 2 includes the bores 212, thus enabling to decrease production material and cost.
While we have shown and described various embodiments in accordance with the present invention, it is clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
