DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a bra with Velcro straps on the side to create individual cleavage. The Velcro straps along the ribcage will wrap around and allow women to create their own cleavage.

The bra would open in the front and have two strips of Velcro along the side of the bra that will wrap around on each side of the rib cage. A small snap-on button will secure the Velcro on each side of the ribcage. The Velcro on the side will allow women to maximize or minimize their level of cleavage. One would put on the bra by simply putting both arms through the holes and have the bra open in the front. Then one would grab the hanging strips of Velcro and slide it along the side of the opposite ribcage. I would like to incorporate beautiful floral designs, animal print, geometric patterns, polka dots, stripes, lace, and a variety of solid colors, so that the bra does not appear orthopedic or generic. Another concept is to create a minimizing bra using the Velcro for full-sized women who do not want to reveal too much. The Velcro would again be along the side of the ribcage; however, the cups of the bra will be a full-size so as to support the woman's breasts without revealing the cleavage. The straps on the shoulders will be thicker and have foam inside to create a more comfortable bra. There will be an option to have a thicker material bra (of foam) in order to eliminate the appearance of the nipple. Again, the designs of the bra will come in floral, animal print, geometric patterns, polka dots, stripes, lace, and a wide-range of colors. The bras, as aforementioned, will come in different fabrics. There will be a standard nylon 90% spandex 10% bra, a 100% polyether foam shoulder strap bra, and a 100% polyether foam bra with a cashmere cup outer-lining for the winter.

The Velcro and the front-opening are absolutely necessary. There should be a front hook-and-eye just to secure the bra in the front. Also, along the ribcage there will be a snap-on button to secure the Velcro.

The Velcro will hang down from the sides of the bra and wrap around the ribcage. The hanging strips of Velcro will wrap around each side of the opposite ribcage and secure to a second strip of Velcro.

The Velcro will wrap around the side of the ribcage, thus allowing women to create their own cleavage and be able to take it on and off easily.

A designer will first start off with a currently made bra and refashion it so that it opens in the front and attach Velcro along the sides to demonstrate the functionality of the design.

Instead of using Velcro, snap-on buttons along the side would be just as effective. However, there would have to be a few snap-on buttons so that women can make the bra looser or tighter depending on how much cleavage she wants to show.

One would put on the bra by simply putting both arms through the holes and have the bra open in the front. Then one would grab one of the hanging strips of Velcro and slide it around the side of the opposite ribcage and secure it to the Velcro already along the ribcage. The second strip of Velcro would go on the opposite ribcage and again be secured to the Velcro already along the ribcage. Then a snap-on button attached to a smaller piece of fabric will be fastened so as to secure the Velcro. The snap-on button will be on both sides of the ribcage. A front hook-and-eye will be secured as well.

There are currently no bras that allow you to create your own cleavage by closing on the sides. The Velcro along the side of the bra will allow for one to maximize, minimize, or remain neutral with how much cleavage she wants to reveal. The bra would eliminate the need for a back clasp closure, which can be quite uncomfortable.
