MASCARA BRUSH

The present invention provides a mascara brush, which does not require a user to check the rotational position of the mascara brush before using it and makes it easy to apply mascara to eyelashes. The mascara brush includes a support bar (41), a tidying comb unit (150), and an applying brush unit (140). The tidying comb unit has a comb support part, a comb body, and several rows of combs. Brush exposure slots are formed in the comb body between the combs. An insert hole and an insert scat are formed in the tidying comb unit. The applying brush unit includes a coupling protrusion, which is inserted into the insert scat of the tidying comb unit, a brush support bar, the upper end of which is supported in the insert hole, and several rows of brushes, which are formed on the brush support bar.

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates, in general, to mascara brushes and, more particularly, to a mascara brush which does not require a user to check the rotational position of the mascara brush before using it, and includes additional comb teeth, which are provided on the end of the brush body, thus making it easy to apply mascara to eyelashes disposed at ends of the eyes.

BACKGROUND ART

Generally, a mascara applicator is used to apply various colors of mascara, which is one kind of cosmetic for women, to eyelashes to beautify the eyes. Typically, such a mascara applicator includes a container, which contains mascara therein, and a handle, which is used when opening or closing the container. The mascara applicator further includes a brush bar, which extends from the handle downwards, and a brush, which is provided on the brush bar. To use the mascara applicator, the mascara is applied to the brush in a process of coupling and removing the handle to and from the container.

Particularly, the mascara brush can conduct various functions, for example, a volumizing function (an effect of making eyelashes appear abundant), a curling function (an effect of curling the ends of the eyelashes upwards), a lash lengthening function (an effect of making the eyelashes appear long) and a cleaning function (an effect of preventing the eyelashes from aggregating), according to the length and shape of bristles of the mascara brush.

Typically, mascara brushes are manufactured through a process in which brush bristles having predetermined lengths are placed between two strands of wires and the wires are twisted several times such that the cross-section thereof has various shapes, for example, a circular shape, a triangular shape or a sectorial shape, based on the center axis of the wires. According to the shape of the cross-section of the brush, it can exhibit a volumizing, curling, lash lengthening or cleaning effect.

Such a mascara brush must have a superior combing effect to evenly apply mascara, which has a relatively high viscosity, to eyelashes and prevent the eyelashes from becoming tangled or adhered to each other by the mascara. In the case of the conventional mascara brush, because the bristles are arranged in a spiral shape by twisting the wires, a relatively large amount of mascara can be applied between the bristles, so that the effect of volumizing the eyelashes is ensured. However, due to the viscosity of the mascara, the eyelashes may be tangled or adhered to each other. In this case, a separate eyelash tidying device is required to tidy the eyelashes, or, alternatively, a user may have to reapply mascara after removing the originally applied mascara.

FIG. 1 is an exploded front view showing a conventional mascara brush having an applying brush unit and a tidying brush unit.

As shown in the drawing, the mascara brush includes the applying brush unit 3, which is a means for applying mascara to eyelashes. To manufacture the applying brush unit 3, bristles 31, each of which has a predetermined length, are perpendicularly interposed between parts of a wire, which is bent at the intermediate position thereof and is thus folded in half. Thereafter, the folded parts of the wire are twisted a predetermined number of times. Then, the bristles 31 are radially fastened to the wire shaft 21, which is formed by twisting the wire.

The applying brush unit 3 has a cut part, which is formed by cutting some of the bristles 31, which are perpendicularly fastened to one side of the wire shaft 21. The applying brush unit 3, which is manufactured through the above-mentioned process, is integrally coupled to the lower end of a brush body.

The tidying brush unit 4 is a means for tidying the eyelashes, to which mascara is applied by the applying brush unit 3. The tidying brush unit 4 includes a comb 42, which protrudes outwards from a support member 41.

The support member 41 serves to fasten the comb 42 to the cut part 32 of the applying brush 3, and the circumference thereof is equal to that of the brush body. Furthermore, the length of the support member 41 is equal to or slightly greater than the length of the wire shaft 21, which protrudes from the lower end of the brush body, such that the support member 41 can be integrally coupled to the applying brush unit 3. The support member 41 has in the upper end thereof an insert hole 44, through which the wire shaft 21 is inserted so as to be integrally coupled to the support member 41. An insert seat 43 is formed in the lower end of the support member 41, so that the lower end of the wire shaft 21 is inserted into and fastened to the insert seat 43 of the support member 41. Furthermore, because the support member 41 must be disposed on the cut part 32 of the applying brush unit 3, the upper end and the lower end of the support member 41, having the insert hole 44 and the insert seat 43, are supported by a side bar 45. Thus, the support member 41 has a U shape, and the cross-section thereof has a sectorial shape corresponding to the shape of the cut part 32.

The comb 42 perpendicularly protrudes from the circumferential outer surface of the side bar 45 of the support member 41 to thus form a single comb, and serves to comb the eyelashes. In detail, the comb 42 is arranged linearly and perpendicularly extends from the side bar 45 to lengths corresponding to the lengths to which the bristles 31 protrudes from the wire shaft 21 of the applying brush unit 3. The teeth of the comb 42 are made of synthetic resin, which is the same material of the support member 41, and each comb tooth is thicker and harder than each bristle 31 of the applying brush unit 3. The teeth of the comb 42, which are linearly arranged, are spaced apart from each other at regular intervals. Therefore, the tidying brush unit 4 has a shape similar to that of a typical straight comb.

In the case of the mascara brush of FIG. 1, an operation of applying mascara to eyelashes using the applying brush unit and an operation of tidying the eyelashes using the tidying brush unit are consecutively conducted. However, in this construction, because the tidying operation must be conducted after the applying operation using the applying brush unit is conducted, there is a disadvantage in that the user must check the rotational position of the mascara brush before using it.

Furthermore, there is a problem in that, when the mascara brush, to which mascara is applied, is extracted from the container, comb teeth disposed on the upper end of the mascara brush may be broken or bent.

In addition, because the eyelashes are arranged to form an arc shape, it is difficult to apply mascara to eyelashes disposed at the ends of the eyes.

As well, because the end of the wire shaft is exposed outside, the external appearance is poor. Moreover, a large amount of mascara is applied to the end of the wire shaft, in which case excess mascara may be applied to the eyelashes, thus being inconvenient to the user.

DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION Technical Problem

Accordingly, the present invention has been made keeping in mind the above problems occurring in the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide a mascara brush which can solve the problem of the prior art having one or two combs, in which a user must check the rotational position of the mascara brush before using it, thus being convenient for the user.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a mascara brush which has comb teeth on the end thereof, thus making it easy to apply mascara to eyelashes disposed at the ends of the eyes of the user.

A further object of the present invention is to provide a mascara brush, which is constructed such that, when the mascara brush is extracted from a container, comb teeth, which are disposed on the upper end of the mascara brush, are prevented from being broken or bent by force applied to the upper end of the mascara brush, thus ensuring superior durability.

Technical Solution

In order to accomplish the above objects, the present invention provides a mascara brush, including: a support bar having at a first end thereof a coupling hole, so that a comb support part is coupled to the first end of the support bar through the coupling hole, the support bar being coupled at a second end thereof to a handle; a tidying comb unit, comprising the comb support part, inserted into the coupling hole of the support bar, a comb body extending a predetermined length from the comb support part, and three or four rows of comb teeth provided on a side surface of the comb body and oriented in directions perpendicular to the side surface of the comb body, with brush exposure slots formed in the comb body between the three or four rows of comb teeth, an insert hole formed in the tidying comb unit to support an upper end of a brush support bar, an insert seat formed in a lower end of the tidying comb unit to support a lower end of an applying brush unit, and a hollow space defined in the tidying comb unit between the insert hole and the insert seat, so that the brush support bar of the applying brush unit is disposed in the hollow space; and the applying brush unit, comprising a coupling protrusion inserted into the insert seat of the tidying comb unit, the brush support bar, the upper end of which is supported in the insert hole of the tidying comb unit, and three or four rows of brushes formed on a side surface of the brush support bar by forming cut parts between the three rows of brushes, the brushes being oriented in directions perpendicular to the brush support bar, wherein the three rows of brushes are exposed outside through respective brush exposure slots.

The comb teeth and brushes may be reduced in length towards the lower end of the mascara brush. The coupling protrusion may have in an end thereof an elliptical hole to increase a coupling force between the coupling protrusion and the insert seat.

Furthermore, comb teeth, which are shorter than the other comb teeth, may be provided in an upper end of each of the rows of comb teeth. One or more comb teeth, which are thicker than the other comb teeth, may be provided in an upper end of each of the rows of comb teeth.

The tidying comb unit may further include a hemispheric member for covering the insert seat to prevent the coupling protrusion of the applying brush unit from being exposed outside the mascara brush after the coupling protrusion is inserted into the insert seat. Comb teeth, which are arranged parallel to each of the rows of comb teeth, may be provided on the hemispheric member.

The coupling protrusion may have a linear, cross, triangular or rectangular embossed shape, and the insert seat may have a linear, cross, triangular or rectangular depressed shape. A length of each of the comb teeth may be 1 or 1.5 times a length of each bristle of the brush for convenience of the operation of applying mascara to the eyelashes and the operation of tidying the eyelashes.

ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS

In the mascara brush according to the present invention, an operation of applying mascara to eyelashes using an applying brush unit and an operation of tidying the eyelashes using a tidying comb unit can be conducted at the same time.

Furthermore, the present invention provides a mascara brush that makes it possible to conduct the applying operation and the tidying operation regardless of the rotational position of the applying brush unit and the tidying comb unit.

In addition, in the mascara brush of the present invention, even after the mascara brush is used many times over a long period of time, comb teeth disposed on the upper ends of combs are prevented from being undesirably bent or broken.

Moreover, the lower end of the tidying comb unit has a hemispheric shape, and covers the lower end of the applying brush unit. Therefore, the lower end of the applying brush unit is prevented from being exposed outside the mascara brush, thus ensuring a superior external appearance. As well, additional comb teeth are provided on the hemispheric lower end of the tidying comb unit, thus facilitating an operation of tidying eyelashes disposed on the ends of the eyes.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings such that those skilled in the art can easily embody the present invention.

FIG. 2 is a sectional view of a mascara brush according to a first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 3 is a perspective view illustrating the assembly of the mascara brush according to the first embodiment of the present invention.

As shown in the drawings, the mascara brush is immersed in mascara, which is contained in a container 110, when it is not in use. The mascara brush includes a support bar 130, which extends a predetermined length from the inner surface of a lid (a handle) 120 having a coupling part, which is removably coupled to the opening of the container 110.

The support bar 130 has on an end thereof a coupling hole, into which a comb support part 154 is inserted. The tidying comb unit is securely coupled to the support bar by inserting the comb support part 154 into the coupling hole. Here, the coupling between the comb support part and the coupling hole may be realized by a force-fitting method or a thread coupling method. Furthermore, three rows of comb teeth 151 are provided on the outer surface of a comb body 157, which extends from the comb support part 154, and each row of comb teeth 151 is arranged in a line in the longitudinal direction of the comb body 157. Preferably, the three rows of comb teeth 151 are spaced apart from each other at angular intervals of 120°.

The comb body 157 is constructed such that the applying brush unit 140, which has brushes 141 oriented in three directions, is coupled to the comb body 157. For this, an insert hole 155 is formed in a first end of the comb body 157, so that the upper end of a brush support bar 142, which forms a wire shaft and supports the brushes 141, is fitted into the insert hole 157. Furthermore, an insert seat 153 is formed in a second end of the comb body 157, so that a coupling protrusion 143, which is provided on the lower end of the brush support bar 142, that is, comprises one end of the wire shaft, is inserted into the insert seat 153.

The applying brush unit 140 includes the brush support bar 142, which has a wire shape, and the brushes 141, which are supported between nodes of the brush support bar, which are formed by twisting the wire.

FIG. 4 is a sectional view illustrating the applying brush unit of the mascara brush according to the first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 5 is a sectional view illustrating the tidying comb unit of the mascara brush according to the first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 6 is a bottom view of FIG. 5. FIG. 7 is a sectional view illustrating a modification of the tidying comb unit according to the first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 8 is an assembled sectional view showing the coupling between the applying brush unit and the tidying comb unit of the mascara brush according to the first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 9 is a bottom view of FIG. 8.

As shown in the drawings, in the applying brush unit 140, each brush 141 consists of many bristles, and the brushes 141 are supported by the wire-shaped brush support bar 142.

In detail, the brushes 141 are supported by the wire shaft, which is formed by twisting the wire. Cut parts 141a are formed between the brushes 141 such that each brush 141 has a sectorial cross-section. The brushes 141, having the sectorial cross-sections, are disposed between the rows of comb teeth and are oriented in directions perpendicular to the wire shaft. Here, the sectorial cross-section of each brush 141 has an angle less than 120° in order to prevent interference between the brushes and the comb teeth. Preferably, the sectorial cross-section of each brush 141 has an angle ranging from 60° to 90° in order to maximize the effects of the brushes and the combs. Bristles made of nylon may be used as each brush 141.

If the brushes are disposed at positions, at which the combs, that is, the rows of comb teeth, are formed, problems may arise when assembling or using the mascara brush. Therefore, the cut parts 141a, from which bristles are removed by cutting, are disposed at the positions at which the combs are formed, such that the brushes and the combs are suitably arranged, and such that appropriate friction is generated when coupling the applying brush unit to the tidying comb unit.

The brush support bar 142 has a wire shape, and the coupling protrusion 143, which is fitted into the insert seat 153 formed in the end of the tidying comb unit, is provided on the lower end of the brush support bar 142. Here, to more securely couple the coupling protrusion 143 to the insert seat 153, an elliptical slot 143a is formed through the end of the coupling protrusion 143, and extends in a longitudinal direction. The coupling protrusion and the insert seat are configured such that the diameter of the insert seat is slightly less than that of the end of the coupling protrusion 143. Thus, the coupling protrusion 143 can be more firmly coupled to the insert seat 153. The brush support bar 142 may be made of metal or plastic, and is preferably made of stainless steel.

The tidying comb unit 150 includes the comb support part 154, which is inserted into the coupling hole of the support bar, which extends a predetermined length from the lid of the container, the comb body 157, which extends from the comb support part 154 downwards, and the three rows of comb teeth 151, which are provided on the side surface of the comb body 157 and are oriented in directions perpendicular to the comb body 157 such that each row of comb teeth is arranged in a line. Preferably, the three rows of comb teeth 151 are spaced apart from each other at angular intervals of 120°.

Furthermore, three longitudinal rectangular brush exposure slots 158 are formed in the comb body between the three rows of comb teeth 151. Thereby, when the applying brush unit 140 is coupled to the tidying comb unit 150, the brushes 141 are disposed between the rows of comb teeth 151.

The insert seat 153, into which the end of the applying brush unit 140 is inserted, is formed in the end of the tidying comb unit 150. In detail, the coupling protrusion 143 of the applying brush unit 140 is inserted into and fastened to the insert seat 153 of the tidying comb unit 150, such that, after the applying brush unit 140 is coupled to the tidying comb unit 150, the applying brush unit is prevented from undesirably moving or rotating with respect to the tidying comb unit.

As described above, the three rows of comb teeth 151 are provided on the tidying comb unit 150. As shown in FIG. 5, partially cut comb teeth 155 may be formed by partially cutting some of the comb teeth disposed on the upper end of each row of comb teeth.

Meanwhile, the mascara brush is manufactured such that the diameter of the opening of the container is similar to that of the cross-section of the mascara brush. This construction prevents an excessive amount of mascara from being applied to the brushes 141 at one time. However, in this case, there may be a problem, in which the comb teeth disposed on the upper end of the mascara brush may be bent or snapped.

To prevent this problem, in the present invention, the partially cut comb teeth 155 are provided on the upper end of the mascara brush, so that, when the mascara brush is extracted from the container, contact between the opening of the container and the comb teeth is minimized. Therefore, the present invention can prevent the comb teeth from being bent or snapped when the mascara brush is extracted from the container.

Alternatively, the tidying comb unit may be constructed such that thick comb teeth 156 are provided on the upper ends of the three rows of combs, thus preventing the comb teeth disposed on the upper ends of the rows of combs from being bent or snapped when the mascara brush is extracted from the container.

The coupling protrusion 143 of the applying brush unit is disposed in the lower end of the tidying comb unit. To prevent the coupling protrusion 143 from protruding outside the mascara brush when the applying brush unit is coupled to the tidying comb unit 150, the lower end of the tidying comb unit 150 may have a hemispheric shape, which is rounded downwards to cover the coupling protrusion 143, which is the lower end of the applying brush unit, so that the coupling protrusion 143 is embedded in the hemispheric lower end of the tidying comb unit.

Furthermore, end comb teeth 152, which are arranged parallel to the three rows of comb teeth, may be provided on the hemispheric end 157a of the tidying comb unit, such that a user can easily apply mascara to eyelashes disposed at ends of the eyes.

The mascara brush of the present invention is used in the state in which the applying brush unit 140 is coupled to the tidying comb unit 150. Thus, an operation of applying mascara to eyelashes using the brushes 141 and an operation of tidying the eyelashes using the comb teeth 151 can be conducted at the same time.

To couple the applying brush unit 140 to the tidying comb unit 150, the lower end of the applying brush unit 140 is inserted into the insert hole 155, which is formed in the upper end of the tidying comb unit 150. Therefore, the applying brush unit 140 is moved downwards, until the coupling protrusion 143 of the lower end of the applying brush unit 140 is inserted into the insert seat 153, which is formed in the lower end of the tidying comb unit 150, after passing through the hollow part of the comb body of the tidying comb unit 150.

At this time, the three brushes 141 are disposed in the respective rectangular brush exposure slots 158, which are formed in the tidying comb unit 150. Here, because the brushes 151 are very flexible, they can be easily seated into the brush exposure slots 158 after passing through the insert holes 155 in the tidying comb unit 150.

Alternatively, the tidying comb unit 150 may be constructed such that it is divided into three same parts. Thus, the applying brush unit 140 and the tidying comb unit 150 are assembled with each other in a shape in which the three parts of the tidying comb unit 150 surround the applying brush unit 140.

To couple the lower end of the applying brush unit 140 to the insert seat 153, the typical circular shape of the insert seat 153 and the original shape of the coupling protrusion 143, that is, the original shape of the lower end of the wire shaft, may be used. Alternatively, to more securely couple the lower end of the applying brush unit 140 to the insert seat 153 and to prevent the applying brush unit 140 from undesirably moving after coupling them, the insert seat 153 may have a linear, cross or triangular depressed shape, and the coupling protrusion 143 of the applying brush unit 140 may have an embossed shape corresponding to the shape of the insert seat 153. Thereby, the coupling protrusion 143 can be securely fitted into the insert seat 153.

To conduct the operation of applying mascara to eyelashes using the applying brush unit 140 and the operation of tidying the eyelashes using the tidying comb unit 150 at the same time, the length of each comb tooth 151 of the tidying comb unit 150 must be equal to or greater than that of each bristle of the brushes 141. Preferably, the length of the comb tooth 151 is 1 or 1.5 times the length of the bristle of the brushes 141.

FIGS. 10 through 14 are sectional views, front views and bottom views showing an applying brush unit and a tidying comb unit of a mascara brush, according to a second embodiment of the present invention.

As shown in the drawings, unlike the embodiment of FIG. 2, in the second embodiment, the tidying comb unit 150 includes four rows of comb teeth 151, and the applying brush unit 140 includes four brushes 141.

Therefore, in the tidying comb unit 150, the four rows of comb teeth 151 are spaced apart from each other at angular intervals of 90°. Furthermore, four brush exposure slots 158, through which the brushes 141 are exposed outside, are formed in the tidying comb unit 150 between the four rows of comb teeth.

The brushes 141 are supported by a wire shaft, which is formed by twisting a piece of wire. Cut parts 141a are formed between the brushes 141 such that each brush 141 has a sectorial cross-section. The sectorial cross-sectional brushes 141 are disposed between the rows of comb teeth and are oriented in directions perpendicular to the wire shaft. Preferably, the sectorial cross-section of each brush 141 has an angle less than 90° to prevent interference between the brushes and the comb teeth.

The tidying comb unit 150 includes the four rows of comb teeth 151. In the same manner as the case shown in FIG. 5, partially cut comb teeth 155 may be formed by partially cutting some of the comb teeth disposed on the upper end of each row of comb teeth. The reason for this is the same as in FIG. 5.

Alternatively, the tidying comb unit 150 may be constructed such that thick comb teeth 156 are provided on the upper ends of the four rows of combs 151. The reason for this construction is also to prevent the comb teeth 151, which are disposed on the upper ends of the rows of combs 151, from being bent or snapped when the mascara brush is extracted from the container.

A coupling protrusion 143 is provided on the lower end of the applying brush unit 140. To prevent the coupling protrusion 143 from protruding outside the mascara brush when the applying brush unit 140 is coupled to the tidying comb unit 150, the lower end 157a of the tidying comb unit 150 may have a hemispheric shape, which is rounded downwards to cover the coupling protrusion 143, which is the lower end of the applying brush unit, so that the coupling protrusion 143 is embedded in the hemispheric lower end of the tidying comb unit.

Furthermore, end comb teeth 152, which are arranged parallel to the four rows of comb teeth 151, may be provided on the hemispheric end 157a of the tidying comb unit 150, such that a user can easily apply mascara to eyelashes that are disposed at ends of the eyes.

The general construction of the embodiment of FIGS. 10 through 14, with the exception of the construction in which the four rows of comb teeth 151 and the four rows of brushes 141 are provided, remains the same as the embodiment of FIGS. 2 through 9, therefore further explanation will be omitted.

Although the preferred embodiments of the mascara brush according to the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention. Therefore, the scope and spirit of the present invention must be defined by the accompanying claims rather than the above description.

Claims

1. A mascara brush, comprising:

a support bar having at a first end thereof a coupling hole, so that a comb support part is coupled to the first end of the support bar through the coupling hole, the support bar being coupled at a second end thereof to a handle;
a tidying comb unit, comprising the comb support part, inserted into the coupling hole of the support bar, a comb body extending a predetermined length from the comb support part, and three rows of comb teeth provided on a side surface of the comb body and oriented in directions perpendicular to the side surface of the comb body, with brush exposure slots formed in the comb body between the three rows of comb teeth, an insert hole formed in the tidying comb unit to support an upper end of a brush support bar, an insert seat formed in a lower end of the tidying comb unit to support a lower end of an applying brush unit, and a hollow space defined in the tidying comb unit between the insert hole and the insert seat, so that the brush support bar of the applying brush unit is disposed in the hollow space; and
the applying brush unit, comprising a coupling protrusion inserted into the insert seat of the tidying comb unit, the brush support bar, the upper end of which is supported in the insert hole of the tidying comb unit, and three rows of brushes formed on a side surface of the brush support bar by forming cut parts between the three rows of brushes, the brushes being oriented in directions perpendicular to the brush support bar, wherein the three rows of brushes are exposed outside through respective brush exposure slots.

2. A mascara brush, comprising:

a support bar having at a first end thereof a coupling hole so that a comb support part is coupled to the first end of the support bar through the coupling hole, the support bar being coupled at a second end thereof to a handle;
a tidying comb unit, comprising the comb support part inserted into the coupling hole in the support bar, a comb body extending a predetermined length from the comb support part, and four rows of comb teeth provided on a side surface of the comb body and oriented in directions perpendicular to the side surface of the comb body, with brush exposure slots formed in the comb body between the four rows of comb teeth, an insert hole formed in the tidying comb unit to support an upper end of a brush support bar, an insert seat formed in a lower end of the tidying comb unit to support a lower end of an applying brush unit, and a hollow space defined in the tidying comb unit between the insert hole and the insert seat, so that the brush support bar of the applying brush unit is disposed in the hollow space; and
the applying brush unit, comprising a coupling protrusion inserted into the insert seat of the tidying comb unit, the brush support bar, the upper end of which is supported in the insert hole of the tidying comb unit, and four rows of brushes formed on a side surface of the brush support bar by forming cut parts between the four rows of brushes, the brushes being oriented in directions perpendicular to the brush support bar, wherein the four rows of brushes are exposed outside through the respective brush exposure slots.

3. The mascara brush according to claim 1, wherein the comb teeth are reduced in length towards the insert seat.

4. The mascara brush according to claim 1, wherein the brushes are reduced in length towards the coupling protrusion.

5. The mascara brush according to claim 1, wherein the coupling protrusion has in an end thereof an elliptical hole to increase a coupling force between the coupling protrusion and the insert seat.

6. The mascara brush according to claim 1, further comprising partially cut comb teeth provided in an upper end of each of the rows of comb teeth, the partially cut comb teeth being shorter than the other comb teeth.

7. The mascara brush according to claim 1, further comprising one or a plurality of thick comb teeth provided in an upper end of each of the rows of comb teeth, the thick comb teeth being thicker than the other comb teeth.

8. The mascara brush according to claim 1, wherein the tidying comb unit further comprises a hemispheric member for covering the insert seat to prevent the coupling protrusion of the applying brush unit from being exposed outside the mascara brush after the coupling protrusion is inserted into the insert seat.

9. The mascara brush according to claim 8, further comprising a plurality of parallel comb teeth, which are arranged parallel to each of the rows of comb teeth, are provided on the hemispheric member.

10. The mascara brush according to claim 1, wherein the coupling protrusion has a linear, cross, triangular or rectangular embossed shape, and the insert seat has a linear, cross, triangular or rectangular depressed shape.

11. The mascara brush according to claim 1, wherein a length of each of the comb teeth is 1 or 1.5 times a length of each bristle of the brush.

12. The mascara brush according to claim 2, wherein the comb teeth are reduced in length towards the insert seat.

13. The mascara brush according to claim 2, wherein the brushes are reduced in length towards the coupling protrusion.

14. The mascara brush according to claim 2, wherein the coupling protrusion has in an end thereof an elliptical hole to increase a coupling force between the coupling protrusion and the insert seat.

15. The mascara brush according to claim 2, further comprising partially cut comb teeth provided in an upper end of each of the rows of comb teeth, the partially cut comb teeth being shorter than the other comb teeth.

16. The mascara brush according to claim 2, further comprising one or a plurality of thick comb teeth provided in an upper end of each of the rows of comb teeth, the thick comb teeth being thicker than the other comb teeth.

17. The mascara brush according to claim 2, wherein the tidying comb unit further comprises a hemispheric member for covering the insert seat to prevent the coupling protrusion of the applying brush unit from being exposed outside the mascara brush after the coupling protrusion is inserted into the insert seat.

18. The mascara brush according to claim 17, further comprising a plurality of parallel comb teeth, which are arranged parallel to each of the rows of comb teeth, are provided on the hemispheric member.

19. The mascara brush according to claim 2, wherein the coupling protrusion has a linear, cross, triangular or rectangular embossed shape, and the insert seat has a linear, cross, triangular or rectangular depressed shape.

20. The mascara brush according to claim 2, wherein a length of each of the comb teeth is 1 or 1.5 times a length of each bristle of the brush.
