POP-UP BOOK FOR PLAYING

The present invention relates to a pop-up book for playing that allows various types of three-dimensional play, such as orally narrated fairy tales and dramas, by providing a three-dimensional stage standing and fixed when the pop-up book for juvenile play is opened, and can be easily kept by minimizing the thickness when it is closed. Accordingly, the pop-up book for playing of the invention, which has a front cover and a back cover pivoting around a pivot edge, and is closed in a plane when the front cover and the back cover are folded and provides a three-dimensional shape protruding in a space between the front cover and back cover when the front cover and the back cover are unfolded, includes a first stage that is unfolded to protrude from the back cover and a fixing means that fixes the first stage, the front cover, and the back cover to the unfolded positions.

Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to a pop-up book for playing, and more specifically a pop-up book for playing that allows various types of three-dimensional play, such as orally narrated fairy tales and dramas, by providing a three-dimensional stage standing and fixed when the pop-up book for playing of children is opened, and can be easily stored by minimizing the thickness when it is closed.

BACKGROUND ART

In general, when teaching names of new objects to infants or children who are sensitive to all objects or educating them, it is important to arouse their curiosity and interest in the objects or the education, and accordingly, parents or teachers use a variety of books or other assistant materials to arouse their curiosity and interest in the education.

Typical juvenile books are configured by combinations of pictures or words about stories, and particularly, a pop-up book that increases reality by protruding the characters and objects from a page of the book when being opened has been developed.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating when a pop-up book in the related art is opened.

A pop-up book 1 according to the related art is opened by unfolding a front cover 10 and a back cover 20 around a pivot edge 50, and closed by folding the front cover 10 and the back cover 20. Further, when the front cover 10 and the back cover 20 are unfolded, open grooves 40 and protruding parts are formed along folding lines and cutting lines on the front cover 10 and the back cover 20.

The pop-up book 1 provides pictures of various characters or objects on the protruding parts 30 and the three-dimensional shapes of the protruding parts 30 are changed when the book is opened and closed.

However, although the pop-up book 1 in the related art is effective in arousing interest by changing the shapes of the protruding parts 30 when being opened and closed, it has a problem in that the temporary change makes children who lack power of concentration easily lose the interest.

Further, the pop-up book 1 in the related art has a problem in that it cannot provide various three-dimensional plays when opened, because it is not provided with a structure for fixing the open and standing position, and also has a problem in that the pivot edge is easily torn and broken while the pop-up book 1 is repeatedly opened and closed.

Further, if the pop-up book 1 in the related art is a book with a plurality of pages, it is open as much as the thickness of the protruding parts 30 when closed, such that the pop-up book 1 increases in volume and it is correspondingly difficult to store the book.

DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION Technical Problem

In order to overcome the above problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide a pop-up book for playing that can implement various types of three-dimensional plays by providing a protruding three-dimensional stage that stands and is firmly fixed when the pop-up book is opened for play and education for children, and attaching a plurality of changeable scenery plates, which can be easily removed one by one, to a fixed scenery plate of the stage such that they can be easily removed one by one.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a pop-up book having high durability by reducing interference of the pages with each other while opening and closing the pop-up book to prevent damage.

Further, another object of the present invention is to provide a pop-up book for playing that can be easily stored by reducing the volume by maximally prevent the pop-up book from being opened when it is closed.

Technical Solution

In order to achieve the above objects of the present invention, a pop-up book for playing, which has a front cover and a back cover pivoting around a pivot edge, and is closed in a plane when the front cover and the back cover are folded and provides a three-dimensional shape protruding in a space between the front cover and back cover when the front cover and the back cover are unfolded, includes: a first stage that is unfolded to protrude from the back cover; and a fixing means that fixes the first stage, the front cover, and the back cover to the unfolded positions, in which the fixing means includes: a stage front-plate of which the upper end is connected to the front of the first stage and the lower end is fixed to the back cover; stage side-plates that pivot up/down at the sides of the first stage and of which the lower ends are fixed to the back cover; and stage support parts of which sides are connected to the upper inner surface of the stage side-plate, the upper surfaces are fixed in contact to the lower surface of the first stage plate, which is the upper surface of the first stage, and the other sides extend to be fixed to a first stage bottom.

A magnet is disposed on the upper surfaces of the stage support parts and fixedly attached to a steel plate attached to the lower surface of the first stage.

The stage front-plate and the stage side-plates protrude higher than the first stage plate to be used as grips when pivoting the stage side-plates by forming fences along the edge of the first stage plate.

Elastic members of which ends are fixed to the lower inner surface of the stage front-plate at a predetermined distance upward from the back cover and the other ends remain as free ends under stage support parts, to lift the stage support parts upward from the back cover to a predetermined distance while the front cover is unfolded.

The pop-up book for playing further includes: a second stage that is disposed between the first stage and the front cover; a scenery front-plate that is vertically disposed at the joint of the first stage and the second stage, and of which the lower end is connected to the back cover and the upper end is connected to a top cover disposed at a predetermined distance downward from the upper end of the front cover; and a fixed scenery plate that is attached to the inner surface of the front cover, under the top cover.

A fixed portion that is fixed to the back cover is formed only at the portion contacting with the first stage plate and non-fixed portions that are not fixed to the back cover are formed at both outer sides from the fixed portion, at the lower end of the scenery front-plate, and cutting lines formed by cutting a stage-sided attachment surface upward from the back cover in a predetermined length and cut portions formed by cutting off a back cover attachment surface rearward from the non-fixed portions in a predetermined width are provided at the joints of the fixed portion and the non-fixed portions, in order to prevent the front cover from being open when the front cover is folded.

The rear ends of the stage side-plates are formed to further protrude backward more than the rear end of the first state plate to define a predetermined gap between first stage bottom and the scenery front-plate.

An elastic holder is attached to the lower surface of the top cover to press a changeable scenery plate attached to the fixed scenery plate against the fixed scenery plate.

The height of the front cover disposed above the top cover is 1 to 2 cm larger than the length of the top cover in the connection direction of the front cover and the scenery front-plate.

Advantageous Effects

According to the pop-up book for playing of the present invention, it is possible to provide a three-dimensional stage, which is firmly fixed, by providing fixing means for the first stage protruding when the pop-up book is open. Further, it is possible to easily change the plurality of changeable scenery plates attached to the fixed scenery plate by removing them one by one while pressing them with the holder, and allow various types of three-dimensional play with dolls on the first stage, the second stage, and the upper surface of the back cover.

Further, according to the present invention, it is possible to minimize the thickness of the pop-up book when it is closed, by dividing the lower end of the scenery front plate into the fixed portion and the non-fixed portions, and forming the cutting lines and the cut portions at the joints of the fixed portion and the non-fixed portions.

Further, according to the pop-up book for playing of the present invention, it is possible to store the pop-up book because the three-dimensional stage and the fixing means for the stage are provided in the pop-up book, as compared with pop-up books in the related art which have flat structures and require separate specific three-dimensional stages to be assembled and fixed.

Further, according to the present invention, it is possible to prevent the objects inside the pop-up book from being damaged when a user holds and lifts up the shield surface of the pop-up book closed, by forming the shield surface longer than the top cover.

 MODE FOR THE INVENTION

The configuration and operation of a preferred embodiment of the present invention is described hereafter in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing when a pop-up book for playing according to the present invention is vertically open and fixed, and FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line A-A′ of FIG. 2.

A pop-up book according to the present invention provides a three-dimensional shape by protruding a first stage 300 and a second stage 150 upward from a back cover 200 and a scenery front-plate 140 forward from a front cover 100, as the front cover 100 and the back cover 200, which pivot around a pivot edge 105 to be folded and unfolded, are vertically unfolded.

The first stage 300 is composed of a first stage plate 310 forming the upper surface, a stage front-plate 330 supporting the front portion of the first stage plate 310, and stage side-plates 320 supporting and fixing both sides of the first stage plate 310.

Fences are formed along the edge of the first stage plate 310 by protruding the stage front-plate 330 and the stage side-plates 320 higher than the first stage plate 310 when the pop-up book is open. Further, the protruding portions of the stage side-plates 320 function as grips while pivoting, which is described below, and the stage front-plate 330 expands the space where pictures, etc. are provided, by protruding.

The second stage 150, which is connected through the scenery front-plate 140 vertically standing, is provided behind the first stage 300, and the rear portion of the second stage 150 is connected to the front cover 100.

The second stage 150 is composed of a second stage plate 151 at the upper portion, a stage-sided attachment surface 156 at the front, a front cover attachment surface 152 at the rear, and a back cover attachment cover 154 at the lower portion.

The lower portion of the scenery front-plate 140 is fixed in contact to the stage-sided attachment surface 156 and the upper end of the scenery front-plate 140 is connected to the end of a top cover 120 connected to the lower end of a shield surface 110 formed at the upper portion of the front cover 100. The second stage plate 151 is formed to be kept horizontal at the same height as the first stage plate 310, regardless of folding and unfolding.

FIGS. 4 and 5 are partial development views of the first stage of the pop-up book for playing according to the present invention, in which FIG. 4 shows the first stage seen from the front and FIG. 5 shows the first stage seen from the rear.

The first stage 300 is described hereafter with reference to FIGS. 2 to 5.

The pop-up book for playing according to the present invention is characterized by having a fixing means for keeping the first stage 300 firmly fixed, when being vertically open.

The fixing means includes the stage front-plate 330 that is provided at the front of the first stage 300 to support the first stage plate 310, the stage side-plates 320 that are provided at the sides of the first stage 300 and pivot with the lower ends fixed to the back cover 200, and stage support parts 350 of which sides are connected to the upper inner surface of the stage side-plate 320, the upper surfaces are fixed in contact to the lower surface of the first stage plate 310, which is the upper surface of the first stage 300, and the other sides extend to be fixed to a first stage bottom 355.

Preferably, a magnet 352 is disposed on the upper surface of the stage support part 350 and a steel plate 312 is attached to the lower surface of the first stage plate 310 such that the steel plate 312 is fixedly attached to the magnets 352 to be more firmly fixed, when the stage side-plates 320 pivot upward and the stage support parts 350 are inserted under the first stage plate 310.

The steel plate 312 attached to the lower surface of the first stage plate 310 also allows the first stage plate 310 to maintain a firm shape.

The stage side-plates 320 lie on the upper surface of the back cover 200, when the pop-up book is open (see FIG. 9), such that a user holds and pivots the outer ends of the stage side-plates 320 and fixes them to the first stage plate 310.

Meanwhile, in order for the user to easily hold and pivots the outer ends of the stage side-plates 320, an elastic member 355 is provided under the stage support part 350, and the stage support part 350 is spaced upward at a predetermined distance from the back cover 200 when the pop-up book is open.

One end of the elastic member 335 is fixed to the lower inner surface of the stage front-plate 330 at a predetermined distance upward from the back cover 200 and the other end is a free end under the stage support part 350 to lift the stage support part 350 upward to a predetermined distance from the back cover 200 while the user opens the front cover 100.

FIG. 6 is a development view of the second stage of the pop-up book for playing according to the present invention.

The present invention provides a configuration for improving the durability by minimizing interference while opening and closing the pop-up book, and for minimizing the thickness of the pop-up book completely closed.

To achieve the configuration, when the pop-up book is vertically open, a fixed portion 159 that is fixed to the back cover 200 is formed only at the portion contacting with the first stage plate 310 of the lower end of the scenery front-plate 140, and non-fixed portions 160 that are not fixed to the back cover 200 are formed at both outer sides from the fixed portion 159 of the lower end of the scenery front-plate 140.

Further, in order to prevent the front cover 100 from being open when the front cover 100 is folded, cutting lines 158 formed by cutting the stage-sided attachment surface 156 upward from the back cover 200 in a predetermined length and cut portions 157 formed by cutting off the back cover attachment surface 154 rearward from the non-fixed portions 160 in a predetermined width are provided at the joints of the fixed portion 159 and the non-fixed portions 160.

The cutting lines 158 and cut portions 157 also prevent the non-fixed portions 160 from being damaged when the pop-up book is repeatedly opened and closed.

By forming the cutting lines 158, the non-fixed portions 160 are pushed without being locked to convex ends 351 of the stage support parts 350 shown in FIG. 4, while the pop-up book is opened, such that the pop-up book can be smoothly opened without interference due to locking.

Further, in order to prevent the pop-up book from being open when it is closed, an inter-stage attachment surface 311 connecting the first stage 300 with the scenery front-plate 140 is formed to have a small height such that the thickness is minimized when the pop-up book is closed, and the rear ends 320a of the stage side-plates 320 are formed to further protrude backward more than the rear end 355a of the first stage bottom 355 such that a predetermined gap is defined between the first stage bottom 355 and the scenery front-plate 140 (see FIGS. 4, 5, and 9).

FIG. 7 is a plan view of a holder according to the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 7 together with FIG. 3, a holder 125, which allows a plurality of changeable scenery plates 132 to be attached to a fixed scenery plate 130 when the pop-up book is open, is attached to the lower surface of the top cover 120.

The holder 125 is composed of a plate-shaped attachment surface 126 that is attached to the lower surface of the top cover 120 and an elastic pivot member 128 of which the lower ends 128a are connected to the attachment surface 126 and that pivots while being separated due to the cutting line 127 formed on the attachment surface 126.

Although the end 128a of the pivot member 128 is spaced apart from the fixed scenery plate 130 when the pop-up book is closed, as the pop-up book is opened, the angle between the top cover 120 and the fixed scenery plate 130 changes from horizontal to vertical, such that the pivot member 128 is pressed and bent by the fixed scenery plate 130.

Although the pivot member 128 is pressed and bent, the lower ends 128a of the pivot member 128 are repeatedly curved and straightened without bending, by the elasticity of the pivot member 128. Therefore, the pivot member 128 can be continuously used without breaking, even though the pop-up book is repeatedly opened and closed.

Since a plurality of scenery changeable plates 132 can be provided between the holder 125 and the fixed scenery plate 130, the user can change the scenery in various shapes while narrating orally a fairy tale by removing the changeable scenery plates 132 one by one to change the scenery.

FIG. 8 is a side view showing when the pop-up book for playing according to the present invention is closed, FIG. 9 is a perspective view showing when the pop-up book is vertically open, and FIG. 10 is a perspective view when stage side-plates are folded up and fixed.

As shown in FIG. 8, the shield surface 110 is formed 1 to 2 cm longer than the top cover 120 such that the end of the top cover 120 is not held together with the shield surface 110, when the user holds and lifts the end of the shield surface 110 to open the pop-up book. It is possible to prevent that the objects in the pop-up book are damaged by lifting the top cover 120 together with the shield surface 110.

Further, it is preferable to form the back cover 200 longer than the front cover 100 when the pop-up book is closed to allow the user to easily hold and lift the end of the shield surface 110 of the front cover 100.

As shown in FIG. 9, when the front cover 100 and the back cover 200 are unfolded at a right angle, the first stage plate 310 and the second stage plate 151 protrude upward from the back cover 200 and the scenery front-plate 140 protrudes forward from the front cover 100, thereby providing a three-dimensional stage.

In this position, the stage support parts 350, as shown in FIG. 9, have been lifted up by the elastic members 355 disposed thereunder, and the user fixes the pop-up book vertically open as shown in FIG. 10 by holding and pivoting upward the ends of the stage side-plates 320.

Since the first stage 300 is connected with the second stage 150 and the front cover 100 and the back cover 200 are connected with each other, the front cover 100 and the back cover 200 can be fixed by fixing the first stage by pivoting upward the stage side-plates 320. As a result, it is possible to form a firm space for stage play.

With the pop-up book open and fixed, it is possible to enjoy three-dimensional stage play with models 370 of a variety of characters and objects on the upper surface of the first stage plate 310 or the second stage plate 151.

It is possible to improve abrasion resistance and durability of the three-dimensionally protruding objects by laminating the entire or portions of the objects. Therefore, it is possible to prevent damage even if the user plays with models 370 of dolls, such as characters, on the stages for a long period of time.

A window 145 is formed through the scenery front-plate 140, such that the protruding first stage 300 is accommodated in the recessed space inside the window 145 when the pop-up book is fully closed. Accordingly, the thickness of the pop-up book closed is minimized, such that it is possible to minimize the thickness even if the pop-up book has a plurality of pages.

By using the above pop-up book for playing according to the present invention, it is possible to obtain educational effect, such as improving children's space perception ability and esthetic ability. Further, it is possible to implement active and actual play by using various stickers, models of small dolls and animals, and figures, and also perform a variety of orally narrated fairy tales and dramas by variously changing the scenery.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY

As described above, a pop-up book for playing according to the present invention allows various types of three-dimensional play, such as orally narrated fairy tales and dramas while changing the scenery, by providing a three-dimensional stage when it is open and fixed at an angle of 90°.

Claims

1. A pop-up book for playing, which has a front cover and a back cover pivoting around a pivot edge, and is closed in a plane when the front cover and the back cover are folded and provides a three-dimensional shape protruding in a space between the front cover and back cover when the front cover and the back cover are unfolded, the pop-up book for playing comprising:

a first stage that is unfolded to protrude from the back cover; and a fixing means that fixes the first stage, the front cover, and the back cover to the unfolded positions, wherein the fixing means includes:
a stage front-plate of which the upper end is connected to the front of the first stage and the lower end is fixed to the back cover; stage side-plates that pivot up/down at the sides of the first stage and of which the lower ends are fixed to the back cover; and stage support parts of which sides are connected to the upper inner surface of the stage side-plate, the upper surfaces are fixed in contact to the lower surface of the first stage plate, which is the upper surface of the first stage, and the other sides extend to be fixed to a first stage bottom.

2. The pop-up book for playing according to claim 1, wherein a magnet is disposed on the upper surfaces of the stage support parts and fixedly attached to a steel plate attached to the lower surface of the first stage.

3. The pop-up book for playing according to claim 2, wherein the stage front-plate and the stage side-plates protrude higher than the first stage plate to be used as grips when pivoting the stage side-plates by forming fences along the edge of the first stage plate.

The pop-up book for playing according to claim 2, wherein elastic members of which ends are fixed to the lower inner surface of the stage front-plate at a predetermined distance upward from the back cover and the other ends are free ends under stage support parts, to lift the stage support parts upward from the back cover to a predetermined distance while the front cover is unfolded.

5. The pop-up book for playing according to claim 1, further comprising:

a second stage that is disposed between the first stage and the front cover;
a scenery front-plate that is vertically disposed at the joint of the first stage and the second stage, and of which the lower end is connected to the back cover and the upper end is connected to a top cover disposed at a predetermined distance downward from the upper end of the front cover; and
a fixed scenery plate that is attached to the inner surface of the front cover, under the top cover.

The pop-up book for playing according to claim 5, wherein a fixed portion that is fixed to the back cover is formed only at the portion contacting with the first stage plate and non-fixed portions that are not fixed to the back cover are formed at both outer sides from the fixed portion, at the lower end of the scenery frontplate, and cutting lines formed by cutting a stage-sided attachment surface upward from the back cover in a predetermined length and cut portions formed by cutting off the back cover attachment surface rearward from the non-fixed portions in a predetermined width are provided at the joints of the fixed portion and the non-fixed portions, in order to prevent the front cover from being open when the front cover is folded.

7. The pop-up book for playing according to claim 5, wherein the rear ends of the stage side-plates are formed to further protrude backward more than the rear end of the first state plate to define a predetermined gap between first stage bottom and the scenery front-plate.

8. The pop-up book for playing according to claim 5, wherein an elastic holder is attached to the lower surface of the top cover to press a changeable scenery plate attached to the fixed scenery plate against the fixed scenery plate.

9. The pop-up book for playing according to claim 5, wherein the height of the front cover disposed above the top cover is 1 to 2 cm larger than the length of the top cover in the connection direction of the front cover and the scenery frontplate.
